Ike in low tiers is soooo funny.
In germany they named loading an Ike fsmash "stacus", because of me, since I hit with it that often. xD

1. Be grounded
2. Tilt your Stick
3. Press A
4. Immedialty move the C-stick sideways
5. ????
6. PROFIT.

It's more reliable than trying press A really fast.
And due to my horrible tech skill, I couldn't test it after a Dtilt.

You'll do the second hit of Ftilt really fast (again, I found it much more reliable than pressing A twice, but harder to perform).

It's just buffering the ftilt duh. I do it out of fair sometimes. Doing it out of dilt is SOOOOO 08.

Sorry, I'm not really usef to the word "buffer" (unless Dtilt or Dsmash).

In any case, I'm buffering the SECOND hit.

Now I feel ashamed for figuring something I didn't knew all by myself....

Why isn't buffering ftilt useful? Have you even treid it after a fair?
Because the only reason to bring out the second hit of Ftilt as soon as possible is if you're expecting the opponent to power shield the first hit and buffer a jab. The second hit is more likely to catch someone trying to grab you, does more shield damage because they're holding their shield longer, and is more likely to shield poke.

It's just a random mix up that adds yet another option to MK's unlimited options. One shouldn't overlook it.
Also, unlike dtilt, it's sort or an antiair.

It doesn't mix anything up, though. The most use I can see with it is in teams for the sake of speed.

Buffering all 3 hits isn't useful because the point of ftilt is to be able to not finish it. But Buffering the first two hits seems very useful.

Well by pressing A once, you buffer the first 2. Buffering all 3 would be useless as the mixup stuff doesn't work anymore.

really, really?
There we go, you just told a use for it.
Don't know why you're arguing for why your fairly useless technique is good and why you're arguing that it is useless.

Thanks for explaining buffering moves, I'm sure it will help make some of our mks faster. Please stop arguing.

We are in a theorycrafting thread and I need to stop arguing? Shall we play coin launcher instead?

Buffering the first two hits is more useless. At least with the three buffered hits you're more likely to hit the opponent with all three hits at higher percents.

I can see how the first two come in handy, but that last hit is just poo poo. You can do so many better follow ups rather than just finishing the ftilt.

Buffering all the hits would be pointless as there is no reason to do so.
Buffering the first two hits and all three hits have the same utilities. Really, there's even less reason to buffer two hits without buffering the third. :urg:

You can wait to see what they do and delay the third hit if they are at higher percentages. You got more options that are better.

depends on who's, you have 4 frames to punish falco's spot dodge and it's broken into 2 frames at the start and at the end, that can be pretty hard to punish without a lingering or rapid hitbox like nair or nado

Well yeah there is not really a reason to use this over a buffered dtilt which kinda beats anything they try to punish your from the ground.

I've started using Down-B to punish read spot dodges (at mid-percents) when I'm running at them. The real pressure isn't as good as using a grab, but a lot of people (in FL) are embarrassed when they're hit by Down-B.

It's psychological like you said. Get hit by downB and they might think you are much better that you are just fooling around with such a move :)

I think we should make really loud noises when we play. Like that one wario main who says "WAAAhHHH" when he jumps, actually don't do that....just uair to the music of the stage, it can distract our opponent and possibly land a free hit! Mwah! xD

Yelling when you Down B as Yoshi is legit. They won't hear the sound Yoshi makes, so they won't expect the Down B haha.

Sometimes I'll yell (like a warcry) when I dash in and act like I'm just going to throw out a lot of attacks. Then the next time I die and I'm on that platform and have invincibility, I do the same thing, so they expect attacks. And I just walk up, wait, and punish their spotdodge/roll.

It works for me, anyways :p
