UltimateBailer Razer beat me in winners, and Smoom Boom eliminated me. 'Took 17th =/ I did get a fully-charged lagged eruption, so I'm satisfied.

New York Shark, did you play Domo in pools? If so, I have to apologize, since he and I play each constantly, so he knows Ike like the back of his hand.

People need to stop complaining about that. DK's ledge camping is not very hard for any decent character to deal with. Not the TO's problem that olimar happens to suck at it.

San, it's rather difficult to please the crowd. Just let them be mad for all I care. If one's determined enough, one will find a way to beat the planking. Myself, I just go to the other side of the stage and let them back on. If they go back to the ledge and plank again, I'll go back to the opposite side. It essentially becomes a stalemate, and I can call out stalling right then and there. If I recall, stalling is illegal, am I correct?

It's kind of amusing, but sad at the same time. I'll give you gist of it from what I understood after reading through a few pages...

Basically, LNIAD (Ike main) 3 stocked Zan two times in a row. I'm guessing some trash talk happened afterwards, but Zan didn't take it lightly. Another Ike main, Abe got on Zan about it too. Zan got pretty angry and left the group, and later everyone found out his grandpa was in the hospital, so his mental state of mind wasn't correct. No one has officially apologized since, SK left the group along with XLR.

Speaking of PS3s, I was at a friend's house who had a PS3 and we played the Mortal Kombat demo. Was pretty fun. Only other Mortal Kombat game I ever played was 4 from the N64. I made my friends lol with Johnny Cage's Nut Punch.

the overall story as well as individual characters story was ...bland for FF13; some were just lollz (especially Hope for such a wuss he was being the entire game). Also some of the character's emotions were kinda superfluous. Graphics was pretty amazing though.

In a nutshell, if you put all different vegetables together in a blender, not caring much for what veggie goes well with what, FF13 is the resultant mixture you'll get. the potato was gameplay graphics, it went well with every gameplay as well as cutscenes.

well, gameplay was almost amazing. I liked kingdom hearts B/S combat mode wayy better, which is what Square Enix is doing for FFv13. I'm so looking forward to that game.

I have played so many great RPGs that wasn't final fantasy this year (and '10) it's ridiculous. FF and Kingdom Hearts are overrated.

I refuse to waste my money on either series. Give us something worthwhile SE. There is a reason you loss 90% of your profit with that last FF game. Kill both of the series and move on already. You can kill KH with KH3 to allow the series to go out with a bang if you must.

I want to play FF games that are NOT RPG and actually give a plot that keeps you tucked in. So far Cloud was the only character whose game plot I still like to play, though I wsh they put him in a FF game not rpg based and get him out off that lost emoish attitude. I don't mind if SE continues with FF, I just want them to not be so shallow in their story nor exaggerated in character attitudes. SE need script writers from obsidian. Thats what it needs.

KH should have had a 3 by now. Really don't understand why they are going soo much into explaining the origin of nobodies (kinda lollzy if you ask me).

There is nothing wrong with making another FF as long as the gameplay and story is pleasing. Your statement makes you come off of as someone who doesn't care for the CoD for the same reason of being a cash cow, along with any other FPS series that releases the same thing over and over with hardly any modifications. At least the FF series tries to implement a new RPG system each game. For example, FF7 had the materia system, while FF8 had the Junction system. I didn't play 9, but 10 had the Sphere Grid.

If they lost that much of their profit in one game, they have seriously screwed over the series. The KH series has been steadily getting lower and lower scores by small margins since they started the spin offs. Both are signs that SE simply needs to let those series go. FF in particular they are starting to run out of ideas. For crying out loud, they admitted right off the bat that Lightning was based on Cloud, and was largely suppose to be him gender flipped.

CoD should be getting lower and lower scores: Black Ops was a serious letdown. The online is still painfully bad when it comes to hit detection, and that's on the 360. It must be completely unplayable on the PC. Problem is reviews seem to almost all be CoD fanboys.

EDIT: Game they lost 90% profit with was the MMO one, not FF13. My bad. I lose track of them after a while.

I could hardly call all of that "different." They practically all do the same thing, just to a varying degree of customization. The Sphere Grid (and XII's License thingy) was pretty much "Let's stop beating around the bush on customization and just give the player freedom to more or less make MMO characters in a JRPG."

@AnMist, as far as I know (Crisis Core and Advent Children since I don't remember much of FF7), they're very good friends and that's it. Cloud's usually too busy brooding or being "dutiful" to bother pursuing feelings he may or may not have, and Tifa's dumb so oh well.

I consider it different. Yes the end gains are usually the same, but can you imagine being given the same system over and over? Everyone would know what to do, how to do it, and there would be no challenge or mystery on what is the best way to go. There would be no experimentation on what combinations are the best. We would all know what materia works with what characters, what summons are the best, etc.

After waiting in the pre-registered line for 2 hours to get my badge with Nysyarc I finally got in to get some practice with my teams partner Paw(ZSS). We did pretty well and if we had a bit more practice together I believe we could have done a lot better but round one we played this girl who played ike(first tournament) and another dude who played olimar and was trash talking about grabbing with olimar XD. So we won that 2-0 and next round we faced MVD and ESAM which i thought would be super hard, turned out we took them to last stock both games but got 2-0ed. Losers bracket we played Broly+Shlike and got 2-0ed, felt as though shlike was carrying the team but i thought we should have won that =\.
Now for singles...

So i swear to god I had the largest pool there, including myself my pool had a total of 10 people in it(3 get out). My pool consisted of Dojo(2yrs in a row), Holms, Illmatic, Aposl, Chewy, Batto, Andilex, Fujin, me, and Loko. I swear the most rediculous pool in my life -.- originally i was supposed to be in a pool with MJG, Ripple, and Will (those 3 got out) but i was moved dunno why though.. First game I played was vs. Dojo cause i figued **** lets get this out of the way first XD got 2-0ed of course. Then I played Fujin(Zelda) and Loko(Wolf/lucario), they were actually pretty decent, the Zelda was incredibly good compared to what i expected and game 2 vs loko was pretty close but i 2-0ed both of them. I then played Illmatic which i pretty much HAD to win to have a chance at getting out of pools, I knew he was super aggressive and I had to shield a lot but ended up losing 2-0. First game i got 2-stocked but second game I took him to high percents last stock. After that I could only hope he would F up against one of the other players in our pool(which he didn't). I got 2-0ed by Holms(wolf), lost 2-1 to Chewy(Kirby) he rolled a lot and i kinda lost out of stupidity and stale Fairs kirby FsmashOP. won 2-1 to Aposl(PT) his squirtle was kinda scary XD i might be getting aposl and loko mixed up though.. The PT used "LVL99" tag. lost 2-1 to Andilex(Diddy -.-) after game 1 i knew my Ike wouldn't do well against him so i switched to snake and won game 2 and took him to last stock game 3. Lost 2-1 to Batto, now, this **** was gay as **** I felt like I was on wifi for some reason(skill lvl wise) game 1 he goes MK i got a lead and ended up losing -.- his MK was ok but it wasn't really that good imo. game 2 I take him to battlefield and he switches to Peach, I 2-stock him then he takes us to Frigate and goes back to MK it went to 100+% last stock and because of i believe bad DI I ended up losing -.- and a failed Utilt from jab(he naired me before it came out with one of the weak hitboxes of nair). That pretty much sums up Whobo 3 competitively wise Nyke can talk about our LT 2v2 experience XD. Ended the tournament last night with me, Brett, Mr. Doom, and Nyke doing random character teams on banned stages XD soooooooooooooooo fun.
