80%+ is where you stop bthrow->DA (like 82 on MK, 85 on most, 90 on heavyweights). From ~20-60 you need to buffer or else it'll get power shielded. 65-80 has lenient timing. You just need to buffer correctly.

SH nair will hit at low %s guaranteed from dthrow?
It won't necessarily hit but after Dthrow the opponent can only do things like jump to avoid Nair(they waste their second jump option right there unless they have multi-jumps), and airdodge(now you can most likely jab them upon landing). I mostly do it to non-light characters who have a mediocre air game.
If anything, it's just another mix-up.

Man, if I had actually paid for WHOBO, I have no idea how I could have finished all my work in time..

I made a terrible, horrible monstrosity

, and had to minimize it into smaller monstrocities (after adding new features)..

I'm still not done, at least with the right side, but I still have over a week left. There's also very little to understand because it was just made to be confusing. The software's interface with being able to organize components is horrible.

I won't be able to start on making in-depth character guides til Monday because of HW, but I plan to keep my word about it. Just like the general guide and frame data compilation, I think we need something written down to refer to. Of course not everything's going to be perfect but that's where time and community effort comes in.

Hey San, you're using VHDL or verilog? I made a schematic (not this big though) in my last compe class. Was pretty good if i say so myself. And, why don't you use labels instead of drawing a whole wire from one gate to another? Makes things alot less complicated and efficient.

Slaps, it's just that you never bothered to use the Cstick for DA which adds several frames to your advantage instead of accidentally inputting an Fsmash.
nah brah ive been using c-stick for quite a few months for dash attack and i do your old dtilt **** -.- i just have bad luck and get screwed over from it XD

Not the class I'm in. We used verilog for another class but they're making us do it the hard way.

tht sux. Cool design though. I always find logic designs to be extremely fascinating. I made one last semester which showed all 9 digits of my school ID.

Ike stuff: I like uthrow only for the fact that its the only move in which Ike punches with his other hand; and shows off how much strength he has in his right hand as compared to left (just compare the knockback from uthrow and then from jab1). Ofcourse you can imply this just by looking how he handles his sword too but this gives a more direct experience imho.

I only use uthrow on BF when they're around 50% so they have a chance not to tech the top platform

Brett and Nys lost in their first match to my Austin buddies SkyPirate (olimar) and PantyRaider (G&W). Then they had a bye in losers, and lost afterwards to Tmacc and Silly Kyle. So essentially they want 0-2 =/

Mr. Doom is there. He's teaming with fellow Kansas native Holmes (Fox). They won their first match, lost in the second round. Won two loser matches and are now a set away vs Nike (Marth) and Dakpo (ZSS) to face Tmacc and Silly Kyle.

Ryo is not there...or at least not in doubles.

Good luck to all ikes attending whobo :I

I need help concerning the kill set-ups on fast-falling characters like fox, falco, snake (DDDs^)...
Basically, my jab cancel (which is quite slow to begin with) doesn't prove any useful against these characters when in kill%; I can't get them with either jab(insert other jabs)>utilt or jab(insert other jabs)>bair.

In opposition to marths, mks and such, this is really frustrating, cause I end up killing them at ridiculous% in some cases.

So my question is: are there any jab cancel kill set-ups that should work against fast-fallers?

(and I apologize for my absence on these boards :c)

I don't think Brett, Nys, and Slaps are getting out of pools. Brett had to deal with Jerm, Atomks and a good Peach, who I'm gonna assume is Illmatic.

This is the time San should show up in Whobo. Then all of a sudden all fallen Ike's will regain motivation and start wrecking the tourney.

I wish

Holms uses Wolf and Kirby.

Dojo lost to Holms 2-1.

Coney gimped me both games. And Sakurai was pushing the buttons way too many times for him, so he couldn't chain-grab me.

I heard *coughecoughscoughacoughmcough* had a hard time with Nys. I don't know how I'll measure up, though.

So Doom is our only Ike that is playing today?

Good luck to him, and nice try Nysyarc~
I use Ike when it matters. Otherwise I just play other characters.

I suppose you haven't played Gen V pokemon. They've had the English translations out for a little while now.

Nice job at the tourney Mr. Doom. There wasn't much news about how you did on the stream.
