Houston Thread - No HOBOs and no WHOBOs. What do we do now??????????????????????????????????????????

What side event should i include in my tournaments?

This interests me.

The first MK-banned event had special hype, so it was huge, but the next one was a normal-sized HOBO.

Allan can alternate and see what actually draws more players. I'll be way more encouraged to attend MK-legal ones, as would most of my region.

First off, i am NOT angry at any of you( i mean that). Maybe the whole de angelo vs PZ + people complain about my event(which was fine and people had fun) just set me off to vent. No matter the case, im over it now and a few people(some of whom i did not expect) said some **** nice things which really shows they secretly appreciate what i do for the community. The people who did that, THANK YOU!!!!!!!!



What i gave up on

World hobo 2 being meta banned. Though this would have made our numbers in the 180's-200's i guess ill allow him again. He will be legal in 1vs1/2vs2/crews. He will NOT take MY low tier event though, face it.

Teams. Ive decided that even though metaknight fills the top spots in teams rankings, he is not broken there. I feel(and alot fo others) that Wario/GW is better than him in teams so i will allow him in teams at my regular hobo's.



What will stay

Meta will be banned in 1vs1. End of discussion.

I will also(in the future) hold events to where metaknight is LEGAL in 1vs1. I have not decided on which hobo......well wait! ill let you people choose.....see below.

Oct 3rd=HOBO 19(meta banned)
Nov 7th=HOBO 20(meta banned)
Dec 12th=Low HOBO 3(because of WGF in Florida that alot of us are going to)
Jan 2nd=HOBO 21(open)
Feb 6th=HOBO 22(open)

i still really dont understand the whole ''Wario/GW'' being the best. imma go do some good research and ill find out the top winners of all major tournys. this argument is the same as in melee where i believe Marth should have been number one due to Kens wins in MLG. Sadly, Marth only ties Fox.

unfortunately, most results only have names, not chars. so, it might be awhile. but so far, mk dominates dbls top 8

Broly, you gotta look at it different.

Does he dominate because hes GOOD or does he dominate because hes broken. Thats what u gotta be lookin at.

Whats the difference? hes winning. my argument is NOT about him being too broken. my argument is with the oppinion on whos the best doubles character. everytime i say MK is, people throw the m2k card. most tournys show mk at top 8 in dubs. i like him legal, just recognize hes the best.
