Some people dont like to try in friendlies because they dont want to be figured out.

I do this btw, so it is a legitimate thing to say. My olimar is always changing play style and adapting to what I believe my opponent wants to do and if people play me in friendlies and get confident it's a nightmare because confidence is really hard or near impossible to adapt to especially with a fragile character like olimar. Just sayin

Alright, this probably isn't any of my business - but I don't care. Both of you two I consider to be good friends and I really really dislike reading this stupid ****. Xyro - I really can't believe you of ALL people would say something terrible like that. Honestly, I feel extremely sorry for your stepbrother and I understand why you are so quick to jump the gun on drugs and alcohol and I totally agree with you, but we are talking about ESCA here. If anything you should probably be trying to boost his spirits even IF he was turned on by his "drug buddies" or whatever because you probably understand what it is like to go through that because of your brother and his experience.

I honestly regret ever sharing the information with you - I know for a fact that if ANYONE in this community EVER gets hurt like Esca is currently I would try to support them one hundred percent and I would definitely go visit them (which I'm probably going to - regardless if I get a ride with P4 or not). Honestly, what is the point of playing this game (competitively) - if you aren't trying your absolute hardest and constantly looking for ways to improve? Xyro has done it with his character, Trela, Jerm, Espy, Zac and Gnes have all done it with their character (in my opinion) and Razer is pretty damn close too.

So why can't I?

There is nothing wrong with this at all. Its HOW you go about doing it that turns people off.

Posting wins in money matches or tournaments are basically achievements to me and they mean alot because they are signs that I am improving.

The whole "Illmatic - why do you money match??? asdklfjaksljdfaklsfd" crap - I'm really getting tired of it.

Want to really know why I do it? Well yeah, the money of course - but there is another significant reason that plays a big role.

Jerm used to ****ing **** the **** out of my Peach when I first started. I honestly was hitting a brick wall - over and over again, - questioning what I was doing wrong, why isn't this working? Blah blah blah. I kept at it, and kept at it, until one day I beat him in a friendly at a HOBO. Then I get, "this game just isn't as exciting unless there is alot of money on the line".

I highlighted one of the most common johns of ALL time.

And honestly, if you lose to someone - PLEASE be happy for your opponent, and REALLY don't get mad or angry or "politely" ask them to take down their accomplishments from any other board. Jerm I understand your reasons because I posted false information but Trela - calm down dude. I understand you've beaten me countless amounts of times and I even stated that in the thread. Ignoring me is totally childish - and I know you were because you signed out randomly thirty minutes later. I forgive you.

You tout every win like its the 2nd coming of Christ. You beat Trela once or twice out of 4.8 billion times......and you make sure everybody knows about it. Dude, flukes happen LOLOLOLOL. Then you go one listing MMs like Diego and Tree......................really? Then you say "hay gaiz i got 1st plaze @ a turniey" and its a fraking 12 man tourney. Dude, just for showing up you got top 5......ROFL. And the WORST one is this...you will keep MM people untill you finally WIN and then move on to say "O i beet you in a Momie matchk so im beter." You have done it to me AND jerm. It seriously makes people not want to play you because you are always waiting for that ONE fluke win or w/e so you can say you are better or go out and brag till the break of dawn.

Then after all of that you use all of this^ to argue you are the best peach.

Why can't we try we all just try our hardest all the time? That's when we will REALLY see improvement and results. I'm pretty sure that's what Gnes, Dojo, and Razer did. Hell, Gnes probably contributed to changing his character's tier list position drastically.

The issue is not that people dont try. We all try. The problem is there are people who want to use their fav character and play this game in a legit way then there are people who want to go top tier and abuse how horrible this game is.
