I can explain some of my reasonings if you ask, but here's a sample:

• Duck Dodgers is still Daffy Duck in all but name, so he should obviously match wits with Bugs.
• Dot Warner tried to gatekeep the Tiny Toons away from Kids WB in 1997. Yakko battling Babs is in his sister's honor.
• They may not be the typical DCAU variants, but we're technically getting a Batman vs. Superman fight.
• Only a flea-themed luchador would make Krypto the Superdog tick.
• Taz was beaten by an ordinary coconut before, but how would he fare against a talking one.
• Akira Toriyama was inspired by Jackie Chan movies, and Dragon Ball Z is owned by Sony now.

Mario Tennis Aces Deluxe
This roster is following in the lead of N64 Mario Tennis, a game that silently redefined the Mario franchise and reintroduced multiple characters who are now staples - there are 3-to-4 obscure-ish characters who have never been playable in a sports game (to my knowledge) here, though all of them are from what you may consider "main" Mario games (well-known, stars Mario, and isn't an RPG) so it's not getting too ridiculous (wasn't intentional, just kinda... turned out that way), and it's running off of the assumption those characters would become - if not mainstays - at least common recurring cast members like Daisy, Birdo, and Baby Mario did following MT64. Every character has a doubles partner, but the only new characters are doubles partners for veterans.

Characters were chosen by how distinct they'd be in monochrome and from a distance with a side view. The roster count is the same so I can make it properly unique instead of just smaller, no character changes were made simply to tie in with other Game Boy games (no Daisy for instance) - I'm running off the assumption that this would run off of the difficulty of handheld multiplayer compared to SNES multiplayer by focusing more on single player, so there'll be unlockables.

Melee 2
A game idea I've been experimenting with in my head for a while - the basic concept is:
Smash 7 continues down the path Smash is going with Ultimate (fan-demanded and promo 1Ps, iconic 3Ps, big content and simple gameplay), but it launches alongside another game, simply titled "Melee 2", which goes all in on competitive gameplay and has an "i heart obscure/weird thing" style roster with no veterans or 3Ps whatsoever, appealing to both Melee fans and obscure Nintendo fans, the two audiences most isolated by Ult.

Each character parallels a Melee character gameplay wise somewhat, but has their own identity (think NASB 2 Garfield to Fox or Granny to Captain Falcon), hence the wonky roster order, which lines up with the latest "official" tier list. Keep in mind I mean that in a strictly functional sense (how the character feels to control, their gameplan, and their moves' strong and weak points) and not aesthetics or move themes (so no, I am not suggesting that The Skull is a pretty pink princess or should be plucking vegetables, just that he'd work as a technical air-based fighter)
