school doesnt teach that stuff.
as for the doc thing, i suppose i've been misinformed again by mike, who was the one who told me its impossible lol, (wich is why i used it to compare to uthrow uair)
plus from my experience it hasnt worked if i di =s

I thought the ken combo was inescapable too. But you can get it in rare scenarios even when your opponent d.i.s away. Usually because fair tipper/ their low percent doesn't allow them to d.i. very far after being hit, thus easily setting up for the spike.

Hey Oz, I play SC, too. Haven't in a while, though. Not too competitive at it either, but I'd play you online.

Also, my parents are leaving my house for like 5 days and going to Florida or something at the beginning of February. Could host smash for 2 or so days. Only problem is, I live in north Markham (Kennedy and Major Mac), so it's a long commute for a lot of you.

Just putting it out there :confused:

Its not that far for Ryan and I. We live up North anyways and Kennedy is just down the road.

looks like if you click the checkbox in the second message it stops there. i think they're expecting you to miss that, dunno what happens if you don't check it =P

1) york is going back soon. earliest is next wednesday...it's gonna be 2 days after the back-to-work legislation goes through, so however long that takes pretty much. personally i hope it doesn't get fully passed till wednesday cause then classes will restart friday, and i have fridays off. :cool:

1a) i assume the smash bros thing we had on...what, wednesdays, at york? will start up pretty soon again.

They leave on the 4th, which is a Wednesday.

I can host on 5th and 6th, and maybe until 7th, so that's Thursday-Saturday. 3-5 TVs here, not sure how many we can use/will be used, but cubes are needed. Anybody can crash, there's room, you just gotta find it. Not sure on the limit, but probably 15 people, if even that many people are in.

Sound good?

I'm down for this, hey Bernard... wanna drive me? (Also, those Ken combos you can't avoid because of the low %... you can survive them with a jump... or without if you're Sheik or Zelda)

yes, but how old is this? even a year is quite a long time for melee...the game's only been out so long. a year ago i didn't know how to l-cancel =P

oh and julian, i'll come to that too. hopefully there's a car available or someone who can bus with me. actually i think i'd prefer busing, anyone up for that?

might be able to bring a wii, but don't count on it. i left my wiimote at another friend's house =P if i go there again beforehand i'll bring the wii though. but i wouldn't otherwise have, so i suppose it depends on necessity.

if i go up on thursday it'll have to be a little late in the day...i really can't afford to skip classes right now. i'm sure each one will have valuable information since there are only like 3 left per course.

and whether or not i can come also depends on classes. how much i'll have to do and such. but smash is more important than school so i'll definitely try to go.

again - anyone wanna bus up with me? especially since i'd probably want to leave around midafternoon thursday. if not...any car spots left?

Hah, you forgot it again? Well, I got a Wii, so the Wiimote is not a problem. Bernie is bringing one, too.
