tiger ganks are waaay stronger.
The downsides are a slower jungle and less damage in teamfights with a purely tanky build, which is necessary in most cases.
There's more base damage on phoenix stance while there's more scaling on tiger.

Except that scaling Dan is straight AD. Phoenix scales with AS, and it's easy to make a tanky AS Udyr vs Tanky AD Udyr. It also has better "passive" scaling in that once you activate phoenix that 3 proc system stays til you switch. Tiger stance is only 1 proc, even if you stay. That meas you gotta spend more time and mana redoing it. Phoenix procs only limited in how quick you can attack. Tiger limited on how much you can use it.
Phoenix also hits AoE. Like ok Tiger ganks harder, but are you willing to sac everything else you get with phoenix? I don't see the point of ganking harder on 1 person with Tiger, if that's nearly the only advantage you get from using it.

Cause you're going to be ganking pre 4 anyways? Anyways starting off with tiger you can't even do a full wolves clear at lvl 1 before blue spawn so you're essentially wasting 15 seconds right there.
Not like there's one set way to do the jungle, bro.
Also level three ganks are where its at, because everybody expects the level four gank.

first game in ranked this season
now i know this thread is mostly a secret kool kids only klub for you guys and all and i'm sure this will somehow fly under the radar because if its under 1900 it doesn't matter
but how important is communication in ranked? the talon got really frustrated because he had to bot with karma because garen picked after him and wanted top, but it seemed like after i talked him down and got a few good ganks all was well
i was being like, overly nice and chatty, and gave direction the whole time, and people seemed to respond well to that. i'm used to it because in my group of players i'm typically the commander and telling everyone where to go. is this like, the key to solo queue? i have 1200 normal wins and was gold elo last season (well the reduced gold elo) and i'm not trying to brag, just asking if i should stop being such a little ***** and start playing ranked more. i'm just afraid of my normal solo queue luck carrying over and getting dragged down lower than i belong, so much so that it'll take a great deal of effort to climb out

Zak. It's the MOST important thing. Also, trying to keep your team from jumping at each other's throats, and then trying to command/control them is almost more important than good play. The team to get organized first while at a decent strength is usually the one that wins.

Who exactly does Kassadin hard counter? I know he makes a great CP against some AP mids, but not exactly sure who.

Dphat is already streaming and posted his just a little while ago.
Kassadin is a weird guy. He can accommodate ganks from your jungler quite well (silences are 2g, uber **** slow is a bonus) early game, which makes him a very scary opponent most of the time. I'm still not sure how the guy wins like any lanes at all by his lonesome, at least against ranged characters. I'm really bad at kass though, I'm missing something "important" about him because I have no idea how any kass ever has a good laning phase (like somehow manages good cs / gets kills prior to 6 or something)

That's post 6, and if the enemy caster is getting like 5-6 creeps per wave and I'm struggling to get 3 because of their harass + kass being kass, even once you hit 6, assuming they've backed and stacked dem dorans + suddenly have blue buff you're likely at a disadvantage. Your harass is strong but you're likely to be against an ap caster who can burst you to kill you as well.
I guess Kass seems ridiculous because there aren't enough people going mid that snowball from free farm (like, old mordekeiser). Still, I'm interested in learning him, I guess.
