They've been slowly getting more efficient over time. Plus I have a feeling that all those micro-patches we keep having are parts of the whole patch (save for balance changes) so that actual patch day goes smoothly.

The fact that he has multiple abilities that hit multiple champs...That's... a scary amount of damage coming from an AD carry. And the fact it can hit multiple champs... ._.;
You don't spend half your gold on CDR. You might get CDR boots and a Fiendish Codex, but with that and blue buff you hit your CDR cap.Consider how much more damage your AD carry does if you build a bit of attack speed. Now consider how much damage your AP carry does if you build a bit of cooldown reduction.
it does 500 base AOE damageWith a PD and AS boots, that's two items you have that don't give AD. Since you don't have Merc Treads, you must be building some other defense item like a QSS. That leaves you with 3 items to build AD. IE costs more but gives far less AD than DC does AP. The same goes for Frozen Mallet and Rylai's.
Also, I think I should clarify that I'm arguing that relatively high AD ratios aren't a big deal because it's difficult and uncommon to build a lot of AD.
ez's ult scales 1:1, is channeled, and has damage reductionEzreal's ult is 650 base aoe damage...
MF ults base damage is 1300.
Twitch's ult base damage is somewhere between 1400-1800.
