Graves doesn't make much sense to me in terms of balance / design.

had one on the enemy team with just a sheen, zeal and zerkers and maybe a dorans or two.... he was absolutely terrible at farming so it was like 'lol scrub'. Then some fight happens and he pretty much triple kills with ability usage only.

I was a little annoyed.

The same mistakes of MF / Ezreal seem to be overrrrrrrrly rampant in this new character.

see, i'm actually building decently, my farm isnt too bad, but i die too much

then i do well late, but never get more than a double kill. i get kills in team fights, but never super duper ****.


y am i so bad?

You can build anything that gives you damage on Graves and do great. His base damages are high, his utility is good, and his steroid is great as well.

Standard I've seen is rushed BT into literally whatever. TF, PD, IE, doesn't seem to matter lol.

Been playing mainly AP and support until I can get the necessary runes for other categories. Had a match laning Janna with Graves, and had a Grasshyren moment. Grave and Janna running from three champions, and neither of us died while being chased by Renekton, Irelia, and TF.

... Karthus would have been a giddy little schoolgirl, though.

Any kind of AD ever at all on Graves, enjoy absurd AS steroid that has near 100% uptime and gives you wall movement as you prevent people from even being able to hit you as they die.

Hrm.

Graves is like the perfect ranged AD carry. If / when they nerf him, I'm predicting an autoattack range nerf, since it seems like they really want him to get up and close.

I new graves was OP for his class when i saw him take out an udyr. I wouldn't mind if all ranged carries was buffed to his level tho :x

I got my third double kill with double up yesterday. feels good man.

I usually max make it rain first. Its easier to punish someone with a huge *** circle that slows as opposed to a second bullet that may or may not do what you want.

Graves' smokescreen is bull****. Tooltip says it reduces sight range but in practice it brings sight range damn near to zero (which is technically still reducing it but **** graves). Graves is like that guy that is more of a man than you are that ****s your ex girlfriend that broke up with you and you still have feelings for her. **** that guy.

edit: Morg gets banned too much, what mage should I pick up?

My brother mained Jarvan until he discovered Lee Sin, but he would complain about his buggy ult all the time. This is one of those crapfest bugs he especially hated. That, and the fact that Kennen can run through the wall -_-

When Morgana gets banned, I play Annie / Gragas.
Yeah I've been alternating between Annie and Swain atm. Annie is clearly better on paper, but Swain can have some nasty synergy with certain team comps.

you should play Karma. She's the best.
Karma is the best. She gets banned more than Morg so that doesn't really solve my issue.

Eh, I used to max Double Up first. Then there were far too many incidents when the bounce would do some dumb **** like veer to the side when an enemy champ is clearly within 500 range and DIRECTLY behind my initial target. Now that I max Make it Rain I can just drop it, hit W and get some AAs in. My only problem is that its mana intensive so you have to make em count.

Anivia is pretty similar to Morg. Great farm, skillshot stun, and a defensive ability.

you must explain the logic to me better then "its easier to punish" when make it rain does like no damage to begin with.

Make It Rain's slow increases with ranks. But the slow is tiny either way, I think I'd rather get Q or W.

They should change Q so it starts up faster, and can be used to reset autoattack animation. I always found using Q awkward because the animation is so slow.

My god, I just had the most bull**** Dominion game, Kayle and Jax both went like 5/10 and both stacked Gunblades

Slow + AAs guarantees you damage and the slow increases in rank. Damage increases in rank too. Couple that with carries being naturally slow anyway and you can pump out some damage just from AAs. If I had a dollar for every time Double hit a creep to the side instead of the champ behind the initial target I'd throw a $400,000 crack party and invite everyone in this thread.

Its still situational though. Mostly just a nightmare for Cait and Kog since the other carries can do dumb **** to get out of it.

edit: @wave, I tried Anivia during free week and always did well. Just need to farm up IP to buy her. Pretty slow for a bird though.
