so as of Late my usual team of 5 ran
MF solo top, Graves and Leona bot, Mumu Jungle and (insert good AP caster) mid.
I think I've only lost 1 game as that team comp. I mean its Janky as **** but its hilarious seeing Amumu Ult and then MF and Graves Ult.
also HYBRID MF still doesn't work. so that whole AD + AP buff on her ult was pretty much useless

Her ult buff isn't just "pretty much useless," it's plain useless. It's a measly .2 AP ratio and building AP just makes her primary role as an AD carry godawful because none of her ratios are that good. I really have to wonder why Tristana has a combined 1 billion AP ratio while MF doesn't on top of MF already having no escape and a crap passive that punishes me way too hard for harrassing.
Also, Gunblade was fun to build on MF, but they nerfed that to oblivion.
Also, also, Skarner is still terrible at laning. They need to increase his tankiness, increase his mana pool, decrease cooldown on Fracture (preferably Alistar style), and make its cost a flat 40 instead of 50+5 per level. Skarner is already forced to sit back and blast Fracture to barely survive. The least they could do is not make him an outlier in performance.

Again, that buff doesn't mean you should build AP on MF at all, but there are plenty of little synergies like Baron Buff, Sona Aura, Will of the Ancients Aura, and Taric ult that give you a decent chunk of accidental AP which is now useful for your ult, albeit fairly small. It's not a major buff, but it's also not completely useless.

Yeah, it's .2 X 8 (lasts 2 seconds; damages every quarter-second). Still measly compared to the AD aspect, but I never thought of the little synergies bit.

Graves is absurd OP. AS steroid (HUGGGGGGE STEROID) that resets itself, mini-Nocturne ult (This is by far the best ability in the game), and good burst on his q/r

Also the fact that Graves' Ultimate has virtually the same reach as rumbles, but higher instant dmg output, is crazy.

MF's Impure Shots(The magic dmg passive/AS-healing reduct one) seems really strong in lane...

I agree, as I normally **** Cait in lane and I'm not even that great. But that means Graves would **** Cait lanes harder? I dunno I don't own him but I have laned with him as a support. They all lead to lubeless *** *****.

If MF goes with Soraka she can harass a lot more. If she's with Taric or Ali than Cait gets counter harassed. Any CC -> Make it Rain -> AAs is a nightmare for any carry. Caits range can also work against her, poking with headshots can get her counter harassed. Basically its just Make it Rain. Drop it and Cait can either attack you back and take the full damage + impure shots + impure shots active + AAs. More than likely she'll retreat and still take some AAs. I love the concept of Double Up but I've had it do stupid **** to me far too often to try to use it seriously. That **** need reworking, seriously. Like a champ priority type rework for the second hit.
Graves' toolkit is similar to MF's but better. His AS steroid recharges itself, his slow may not deal damage but it restricts sight range, and his ult does more damage without the downfall of standing still for 2s.

Champions with instant movement steroids can do crazier things with positioning and chasing than other champions can.
Idk, the way he plays feels more like Vayne to me than the other champions do.

Ok so let's say you wanted to mess with Solo Top Olaf. What would you build? I think he might be pretty good up in top lane.

I had someone tell me in ranked today Graves isn't op. Then I got 18/1/6 in 24min and he says Graves is still not OP.

It's still incredibly early. Give Graves and the players some time to mingle with the game.
