I'm fairly certain in the future, more people will QQ about Vayne after they realize that she can build triforce + AS and then just stack defense items on her.

and still do a ton of damage with her W and Q/Triforce procs

also Vayne is pretty good in lane vs people who don't have a ranged hard cc. she can trade harass with other ranged carries all day and come out on top

But Dekar! No one buys SoTD besides ******s! Who would possibly use that to counter Jax?

Well, depends on what carries we are talking about.

Corki ****s on her in lane imo. His Q range is large enough that he can hit her with it and also be outside her range if she tumbles at him head on. This means she has to be significantly faster than him (would have to start off boots) to be able to hit him after a Q or to weave circles around him. But the problem with starting boots is that Corki can go Doran blade and not give a ****. You have no poke at him, so he can afford to get in front of the lane in the very early levels and come out on top if the two of you clash. Damage and Health advantage, along with having a poke, allows him to overall win the lane.

Now if both champs start off with Doran blade, it is a lot closer but still a bit in his favor. The downside is that you have to still avoid his Q to come out on top, but being slower hurts your chances for avoiding it and also getting in a tumble hit.

There are plenty of characters who just dump on her in lane.

I got paired with a few Vaynes as Ryze and you just wreck her so hard.
It's impossible for her to trade positively with him, so you can just focus on denying her any cs and keep her off exp. Her harass all comes primarily from tumble procs and silver bullets so she has to a) get into auto attack range and b) auto attack you. So she has to get in range of your QWQ combo (which all outranges her) and pull minion aggro in the process.

Tanky DPS Vayne is complete bs. I was Cait, she dove me at my own tower and killed me from full health, then walked out with at least half her hp left. That's just straight up dumb - I can tolerate that on Xin or Irelia or Trundle or any melee champ really, but a ranged carry that can build tanky and still be dealing killer damage is just straight up dumb.

I finally picked up Trundle. He's a lot of fun, I still die too much on him while I'm figuring him out, but I finally seem to have found a jungle that I can gank with on a consistent basis.
