Due to popular demand and the general laziness of these boards =), I have started to create an index of the top G&W's in tourneys as well as the top contributors to the G&W boards. This will allow new and experienced players to find out about our G&W's and watch their videos and ask them questions. These G&W's are the top contributors as well as great players.
I'm am going to model this after this thread until I come up with a better format.

Profile/Short Bio: I started playing competitve smash in early 2004. My first tournament was TGA which had close to 200 participants. Since then I have been heavily involved in the community. I have traveled out of state for many tournaments. I have been going to brawl tournaments since before the game came out in america. I picked up GW the first time I played the game a week after it came out in japan after learning you could cancel his up-b into an attack. I started out maining Samus with GW as my secondary, then dropped samus later on and became very well known for my Ice Climbers. I've picked up several characters that I use in tournament frequently however I still play GW more then any other character in tournaments. Currently I am one of the leaders for the Smash Back Room - Brawl and a moderator here. I enjoy contributing to the community and look forward to doing just that for a long time .
Tournament Placings: I have made a little over $2000 from tournament winnings I think. I have been to almost 30 brawl tournaments so I don't really feel like listing all of them . I have won several, and my lowest placing ever was 9th at Fast1 in Florida.
Pros beaten in tournament/MM: Pretty much every single person in texas at some point and a bunch of people in Florida at Fast1, LeeMartin from louisiana, NeedleofJuntah from the Midwest and various others.

Profile/Short Bio: My first tournament was in Winter of 2004. I attended a Melee tournament in my area, and got dead last. My best friend ended up getting top 5. Since then I devoted myself to becoming better than him, and eventually the best. My first goal was a great success, but i'm still working on the 2nd
I got Brawl a month before it came out and was ahead of everyone early on, and stayed that way for a long period of time. Everyone eventually caught up, and the competition only got harder and harder. I was once considered 2nd best in FL, and the best GW main in ATL South Region. I quit singles for awhile, but I am making a comeback to the sceneTournament Placings: I have made a over $3,500 in Brawl. Profile/Short Bio: Uh where to start. I play with the majority of the best players in the country. I love referring to myself in the third person. I'm a pretty cocky player. I feel that there is no one that I shouldn't be able to beat. I started as a random scrub at the University of Maryland College Park, I was fortunate enough to encounter several players who played smash at a high level such as voodoo, PXTTalon, Wife, RickR, Infernomni. so by the time I started going to melee tournaments very early 2007, I was already decent. I stayed dedicated and a few months later I started taking out some big name players, some of which are listed below. I consider the peak of my melee career to be pound3, where I made brackets in teams with my partner boss(making brackets was really hard at this tournament), and barely didn't make it out of my 2nd round death pool in singles which included drephen, sliq, wobbles, skler...gay. So shortly after, brawl came out. I was pretty disappointed with it at first. Everyone camped their ***** off. It was boring. Eventually, I picked up G&W who allowed me to plow through the evil campers. Ironically, my style has became gayer as time has gone on due to living in such a high level region(MD/VA fo life), but I love mindless aggression whenever I can get away with it
Tournament Placings: The majority of my placings have been between 5th and 10th. Top 3 is usually reserved for Azen, Chillin, Chudat(sux. Their cool people, but eventually their dynasty will be ended and the wealth will be spread)

Profile/Short Bio: My name is Bobby, I am 16, and I live in Waco, Texas. I never really went to Melee tournaments, mainly because I wasn't aware of a smash scene in my area until 06. Melee was slightly dying then, and I had trouble getting rides to play with the locals. Eventually Brawl came out and I picked up Wario and G&W from day 1. I started to notice the inner workings of moves amongst the characters and quickly developed an insight on the limitations of characters and focused on exploiting them whenever I played against them. There isn't a very big Brawl scene locally, and I caught the other cities attention when some of them came to the first local tourneys. Eventually I traveled with Dallas to HOBO's and started to place well among some of the best competition in Texas. I made a place for myself among the top in the State, just by playing at the tourneys and sometimes the day before the tourney (I honestly do not practice much at all).
Tournament Placings: 1st at most of the local tourneys, 4th at a few of the bigger HOBO's (Including the Hobo that DSF, M2K, Azen, Edrees, and other OOS people attended), and basically I usually am in the top 5 always.

Playstyle: I play a cautious spacing game at first, and once I start to notice my opponent is getting into a jam I just attack like a berserker and try not to let up. When I'm in a sticky situation, I love to Up B out of trouble and OoS. I don't use Fair that much; I like to save it for killing since killing with GW can be tricky.
Favorite thing about Brawl: Stale moves affect knockback severely compared to Melee. I like this change so much so now people actually have to keep tabs on their kill moves and keeping them fresh. Either they don't use them until they do it for the kill or they do stuff like jabs and grab pummels to refresh your moves ASAP.
Least Favorite thing about Brawl: Lack of usable hitstun. I can easily live without techs like wavedashing and Lcanceling, and stuff like floaty fall speeds, autosweetspots, and tripping are just annoyances. The main problem with Brawl is the lack of hitstun. It's ridiculous because you can DI out of a multihit move and easily counterattack because there is only like 2 frames of hitstun per hit. If Brawl just had USABLE, WORKABLE hitstun, you would not have so many people complaining about Brawl. We can live with all the other annoyances, but the lack of hitstun was just a huge slap in the face that will just not go away or get around it.
Profile/Short Bio: I played Melee ever since it came out (I was like 11 back then) but I didn't start playing it competitively until around late 2005. Everyone was using Marth back then so I hopped on the bandwagon. Thing was though, everyone just noobishly spammed his Fsmash and **** like that. I didn't do well at first until I met Eric who was a part of a former crew called RaGe (Rampaging Gentlemen). I played with Eric and his crew and I picked up on Melee's ATs really quickly. I've been really sucessful in my local Gamecrazy tournaments from Melee (LULZ) winning actual cash prizes and also won a free copy of Brawl upon its release. We transistioned into Brawl, but unfortunately RaGe disbanded due to the fact that many of us moved on with our lives and MK really dominated our Brawl games which made us go back to Melee. RaGe was fun times though. Currently I'm attending college right now and majoring in Biochemistry.
Tournament Placings: I've placed well in several random tourneys here in Oregon... especially where I live there aren't many of them.
Pros beaten in tourneys or MM: Random matches/sets against t!mmy and t0mmy. Other than that, not much.

Playstyle: I play reactive, and somewhat campy. I prefer to observe my opponent's movement and patterns and to punish them accordingly. I usually make my opponent come to me, but sometimes, especially with MK, I take the offensive and try to overwhelm my opponents in the first 15 seconds of the match. I try to play a safe and conservative style with most of my characters, most of the time.
Favorite thing about Brawl: The variety of Brawl with the stages, characters, and one player modes. The new airdodging system is really nice. The new stale move feature is also really nice.

Profile/Short Bio: I played fox in melee, and never really got very far, getting more places in Brawl. I actually don't mind wifi, because there is no tech skill to mess up and it kinda refines your matchup knowledge. Its not great, but might as well. Unfortunately, I sometimes find myself DIing back to my opponent after surviving a hit, and I have to stop myself from getting back into the ****. I'm fond of the tactical use of Chef, and whenever I find myself using it, it works. Also, I pride myself in good Vertical zoning; I use Utilt and offensive UpB's to keep my enemy in the prime spot, and try to follow up with Nairs and Uairs. My ground game could use it a bit of work, but it's coming along.
Favorite thing about Brawl: I like the "feel" of it; the game engine. It's more floaty than melee, and air dodging offstage wont get you killed. The defensive options in Brawl can force some serious prediction on how best to respond, and I enjoy it a lot. Another thing I like about it is footstool jumping. It can be combo'd into and is a good edgeguarding tool.
Also, the diversity in Brawl is amazing. We have a great selection of characters: Diddy creates items to use and abuse, Snake controls the whole field with planned explosives, and Lucario with his aura mechanic that either help his combo ability or his ability to kill, for examples.
Least Favorite thing about Brawl: I hate the random tripping mechanic. It's pretty dumb. I also dislike the small amount of time spent into the online part of Brawl. I mean, who plays Homerun contest online? SSE would be of been a better idea. It's just could of been executed much better, and maybe it would be a better source of practice with less lag.
Profile/Short Bio: First things first; I have four brothers. This is pretty much what got me into competitive smash. My two older brothers were good melee players who went and did a lot of nearby tournaments and lurked Smashboards, and I got into playing seriously through them. I did sort of miss the melee train, though. Anyways, Brawl came out and I wanted to get into it. I would practice a lot when I had free time in the training room mastering teching and glidetossing. Online became my source of constant playing when my brothers sort of stopped caring about the competitive scene and wont give me rides out of state, though they do play occasionally at the house. I've made a lot of good friends through Smash, and met some cool people in person attending tournaments. I can't wait to attend even more and *try* to make a decent name for myself.
Tournament Placings: Poor and poor. Most recent was 9th of 15, but the few that were there were good. OBM, Buuman, Darc, and Dazwa, for example. I'll be trying for better placement, though.
