Well, things are coming together at a blazing pace so I'll just repeat something I said back in November either here or on Discord (I don't remember which): not everyone is going to be satisfied with Ultimate's final roster but all the major rumors I've heard since last summer is that Nintendo is going to try its damn hardest to make it up to a good number of fanbases if they don't plan on doing it through Smash. To everyone's ongoing irritation, I can't go into all the specifics but the "consolation prizes" are just as good if not better if they turn out true. If anything, I don't think a lot of major Nintendo fanbases will be walking away with sour grapes by the end of the summer. To paraphrase the immortal words of my NoA ambassador friend: Nintendo's not dumb or deaf, it's all about timing.

23d or less before we get some Smash news, guys. June 12th is definitely a deadline with that Amiibo restock. Would be incredibly odd of them to push that back to June when it's very likely we also had DLC pushed back.

PS: More coincidences, June 12th is a Tuesday. Not a Monday/Friday/Weekend. It's one of the three prime days for Nintendo.

I think Mia and Mio or anyone from Fatal Frame a unique moveset involving ghosts!

If anything I love the fact that E3 is typically a homecoming of sorts and people who haven't logged on in months or even years will suddenly come back for all the speculation fever to come. The fact that there's a good chance a good number of people who haven't been around since Smash 4 or even Brawl will be logging back on this year in the wake of certain announcements definitely has my feels on standby.

I wish the letter to Operation Starfall or the June Amiibo thing meant anything, but it doesn't for Geno specifically. The former was cute and the latter just means "Smash news on or before the 12th is extremely likely".

That said, still keeping it up-to-date and anyone is encouraged to fix any inconsistencies/dumb Polarthief BS or add to it if anything new arises.

Edit: Went ahead and cleaned up the list one more time, and I also added a note at the end of the September Amiibo restock thing that the June 12th restock lines up with DLC 6's release.

The cart's not in great condition (was in an open box in a dusty-AF room and sitting in the top of the box), but the important bit (the electronic bit) seems to have been spared thankfully. So glad to have found it; it's been immediately put in a Zip-lock to avoid any further damage. Can't even test to see if it works atm; SNES is at the other house (don't even know if the SNES itself works, haha).

I'm guessing partners aren't limited to the "Cheer" option either, but that it's reserved for the audience; it appears to be early game, before Mario has met any partners, so it'd be weird to already have the cheer option visible and seemingly available to use plus it using the Toad silhouette makes sense for the audience too and could be like TTYD's audience except you're more in control.

2 things I noticed. The Toad in the back said use a fire flower, so I guess fire flowers are back as an item and there's a gear prompt below the weapons/item selection. We can change our equipment during battle?

(plus my hate on the art style and the "everything is paper, even 90% of the jokes/writing" still stands, even if the gameplay is improved; I just can't, I'm sorry)

*Assumption based on the lack of FP. If there's no point to battles and no badges, I will not enjoy the game, but man I'd *love* to be proven wrong.

Thats the Smash community for you. A bunch of 20-30 year old manchildren that act like know it alls. The thing I find funny is that people are STILL acting like certain characters are impossible. I thought Banjo would have ended fan rules for good, but no. The Smash community always finds a way to say a certain character will never happen.

Right, so I had a very weird dream last night. I dreamt that Sakurai was demonstrating the new DLC character. The character was Kazooie on her own, and they added a patch that allowed Bano & Kazooie players to bring Kazooie out as an AI partner like Ice Climbers. I don't know how to feel about this.

I think a lot of this kind of backlash is based on jealousy. Like, imagine having a character you'd really, desparately want to see get in, but said character has little to no support within the fandom. Then imagine some other character who you don't really have any attachment for does, to the point that the lead developer of the game himself even acknowledges their popularity. Lastly, imagine knowing that that very support that their character has and your character lacks is one of the deciding factors that lead to three of the biggest NEVER EVERs getting into Smash.

Must really sting.

Hey guys, hope everyone’s doing well, glad to see that discussion is alive and bustling! I got into a pretty rough car accident today, nobody was seriously injured but definitely rattled me for a bit. Definitely made me feel better to come on here and peruse all the theories and whatnot everyone has.

June seriously can’t come any sooner, this next Smash reveal is gonna be the one, I feel it in my bones. Geno getting into Smash may be the good news we all needed, especially with the current events going on in the world.

Weather FP is coming back or not, I'm still concerned that they're showing very little of the battle system for a turn-based RPG.

No, it's not an action adventure game, I don't care what Nintendo says. You explore an overworld, encounter enemies, and go into battle as you take turns attacking each other, with presumably stats having a role in gameplay. It's an RPG by definition.

Exactly, when I found out that it existed, it was the first thing that came to mind and also if Ash fought 7 regions and 20 years to win the league, why wouldn't we fight 24 years and 5 Smash games to see Geno Playable?
