Ugh I NEED an Earthbound game with those Links Awakening Switch graphics!
I guess we'll find out soon enough, won't we?
No, June the 12th this year is a Friday23d or less before we get some Smash news, guys. June 12th is definitely a deadline with that Amiibo restock. Would be incredibly odd of them to push that back to June when it's very likely we also had DLC pushed back.
PS: More coincidences, June 12th is a Tuesday. Not a Monday/Friday/Weekend. It's one of the three prime days for Nintendo.
Omg I am big dumb, did I look at May when I said that? Jesus christ. No, June the 12th this year is a Friday
Well, things are coming together at a blazing pace so I'll just repeat something I said back in November either here or on Discord (I don't remember which): not everyone is going to be satisfied with Ultimate's final roster but all the major rumors I've heard since last summer is that Nintendo is going to try its damn hardest to make it up to a good number of fanbases if they don't plan on doing it through Smash. To everyone's ongoing irritation, I can't go into all the specifics but the "consolation prizes" are just as good if not better if they turn out true. If anything, I don't think a lot of major Nintendo fanbases will be walking away with sour grapes by the end of the summer. To paraphrase the immortal words of my NoA ambassador friend: Nintendo's not dumb or deaf, it's all about timing.
I wouldn't mind that and SMRPG in that style.Ugh I NEED an Earthbound game with those Links Awakening Switch graphics!
If anything I love the fact that E3 is typically a homecoming of sorts and people who haven't logged on in months or even years will suddenly come back for all the speculation fever to come. The fact that there's a good chance a good number of people who haven't been around since Smash 4 or even Brawl will be logging back on this year in the wake of certain announcements definitely has my feels on standby.View attachment 272232

Want to get more active as June is approaching and been seeing weekly updates or announcements from Nintendo, things are getting interesting.
... though my return may have more of this reaction:

This is almost assuredly an endgame scenario for some. Even with E3 cancelled, it's so ingrained into our brains from previous years to expect a big Smash announcement of some kindIf anything I love the fact that E3 is typically a homecoming of sorts and people who haven't logged on in months or even years will suddenly come back for all the speculation fever to come. Well it's also like "when else would Geno be?". If he's not 7, I'm gonna get a bit worried. If he's not 8, I'm going to get extremely worried. This is almost assuredly an endgame scenario for some. Square and Nintendo Amiibo coming together? When else have the two been together, HMMMM...Thanks for the reminders with the list, the talent Polish retailer amiibo list is very fascinating.
J JarBear Welcome back! Be sure to take a look at The List™ to get caught back up if you've missed anything

Same here, and it seems like as more and more weeks go by, more "evidence" comes out that supports Geno. The stars are aligning. The seven stars to be exactThe more i look at that list the more my hope rises which im really trying to not get overconfident. Still a good list tho.

I wish the letter to Operation Starfall or the June Amiibo thing meant anything, but it doesn't for Geno specifically. The former was cute and the latter just means "Smash news on or before the 12th is extremely likely".Same here, and it seems like as more and more weeks go by, more "evidence" comes out that supports Geno. I can't believe Goku is getting announced for Smash Bros.If anything I love the fact that E3 is typically a homecoming of sorts and people who haven't logged on in months or even years will suddenly come back for all the speculation fever to come. Obviously this means that I have to bring back my Roger the Alien persona and change my user name back to Roger Smith for his announcement. I get it. It's all part of the feels. Nostalgia really is a ***** and I can't wait to get my shining moment in Smash. If anything I love the fact that E3 is typically a homecoming of sorts and people who haven't logged on in months or even years will suddenly come back for all the speculation fever to come. I'm guessing partners aren't limited to the "Cheer" option either, but that it's reserved for the audience; it appears to be early game, before Mario has met any partners, so it'd be weird to already have the cheer option visible and seemingly available to use plus it using the Toad silhouette makes sense for the audience too and could be like TTYD's audience except you're more in control.>No cards or any bull**** like that
Welp, this is far better than Sticker Star and Color Splash to say the least.
2 things I noticed. The Toad in the back said use a fire flower, so I guess fire flowers are back as an item and there's a gear prompt below the weapons/item selection. We can change our equipment during battle?>No cards or any bull**** like that

I'll give it that, but: no FP, no levels no badges*, no thanks (from me at least).>No cards or any bull**** like that

Immediately after watching the clip I scroll down through the comments and catch-onto some details I missed. Oh baby this game's looking like it's gonna be IT!>No cards or any bull**** like that

Thats the Smash community for you. A bunch of 20-30 year old manchildren that act like know it alls. The thing I find funny is that people are STILL acting like certain characters are impossible. I thought Banjo would have ended fan rules for good, but no. The Smash community always finds a way to say a certain character will never happen. You know, they call Geno supporters delusional, they say we're stupid to keep pushing for something that'll "Never Happen" and that we should just give up and that it's pointless, that we're screaming at a brick wall. Never mind that fan push is what got us Ridley, K. Rool, and Banjo, nah, Geno is too impossible
You know who else didn't give up? The DC fans that felt like they got a raw deal on their cinematic universe. They spent years pushing, and pushing, and pushing, and pushing to the point where they were a joke, where people would say the same things to them as they do to us: "Just give up" "You're wasting your time" "It won't happen"
Well, today it just happened for them
There was a problem fetching the tweet
If the Snyder Cut can happen, then Geno supporters are NOT fighting a hopeless battle. We CAN be heard. They didn't give up, and neither should any of you
I think a lot of this kind of backlash is based on jealousy. Like, imagine having a character you'd really, desparately want to see get in, but said character has little to no support within the fandom. Then imagine some other character who you don't really have any attachment for does, to the point that the lead developer of the game himself even acknowledges their popularity. Lastly, imagine knowing that that very support that their character has and your character lacks is one of the deciding factors that lead to three of the biggest NEVER EVERs getting into Smash. You know, they call Geno supporters delusional, they say we're stupid to keep pushing for something that'll "Never Happen" and that we should just give up and that it's pointless, that we're screaming at a brick wall. Holy ****, it's actually happening?! Well if they can finally get the Snyder Cut, I think Gemo's all but confirmed at this point! You know who else didn't give up? "I'm not salty my favorite pick isn't in Smash, y'all just toxic/your character fits so much better as a Mii costume anyway."I think a lot of this kind of backlash is based on jealousy. Must really sting.
What makes you so sure there’s no experience? The only battle footage we’ve seen cuts before we’re able to see the battle end.I'll give it that, but: no FP, no levels no badges*, no thanks (from me at least).
(plus my hate on the art style and the "everything is paper, even 90% of the jokes/writing" still stands, even if the gameplay is improved; I just can't, I'm sorry)
*Assumption based on the lack of FP. If there's no point to battles and no badges, I will not enjoy the game, but man I'd *love* to be proven wrong.

Exactly, when I found out that it existed, it was the first thing that came to mind and also if Ash fought 7 regions and 20 years to win the league, why wouldn't we fight 24 years and 5 Smash games to see Geno Playable? You know, they call Geno supporters delusional, they say we're stupid to keep pushing for something that'll "Never Happen" and that we should just give up and that it's pointless, that we're screaming at a brick wall. Oh okay, I misunderstood and thought that was just about the badge part.
It was at first but then I added the levels part because I forgot about it. Again though, just an assumption, but if I have to pick between optimism or pessimism for a paper mario game after loathing the last two (and not liking the one before those two), I'm not gonna take my chances on blind faith again.Oh okay, I misunderstood and thought that was just about the badge part.
