"Mii Costume Guy" and the guy who said Crash was 5 were two different people but had the same in-between/confidant that shared the information. That's why it's confusing. Mii Costume Guy has yet to be wrong about anything but Chocobo, Smithy, Mallow, Kris, and Knight Mii costumes are still MIA.
Fatman do you happen to have the source on all the costumes they leaked? I'd love to update the big evidence post I have with that since atm my Mii costume leak image is Lord Woomy posting only the SMRPG/SE costumes.

In a way this is why I have the feeling that Byleth was sort of just thrown in there at the last second and the ACTUAL FP5 was pushed back. I mean, this next fighters pass has 6 characters now instead of 5. Could be just me wearing a tinfoil hat, but I think that's a bit weird they included 6 this time around instead of 5 which is why I'm holding my breath with Mandycam since he could still be right afterall.

Face the fact. Byleth were a marketingploy. You don't plan them out in the last minute at random. Let me also point out that if Byleth were a throwin, Sakurai would never been needed to have a early copy.Byleth were always meant to be the 5th and last before they decided to do more.
I'm going to stick with Geno by Dexy's Midnight Runners until it happens and he picks something else. It's such a lively ska tune with lyrics that feel almost boastful. It's what I'm gonna be blaring wherever I go when he gets announced, either way.
I've thought Living on a Prayer by Bon Jovi would be a damn near perfect fit for Geno's BestGuyEver video for a while now. Not so much for the lyrics (although there's a part where a girl named Gina is mentioned, which I always hear as Geno, funnily enough), but just the sound of it captures the energy and determination that I'd want from such a video very well. And come on, it's called Living on a Prayer! Isn't that an accurate description of what us Geno fans have gone through this whole time?

Since Geno's been a long time coming... hear me out. "You Say Run" from Boku no Hero Academia. The theme may not be "star" related but, the theme fits perfectly with the event of overcoming an insurmountable challenge. Geno's remained consistently requested since MELEE (I still remember seeing someone cosplaying as Geno with a sign that said Geno for Smash at a local con I went back when I was in early college; circa days of Brawl), and for him to finally make it in as a playable fighter *clenches fist as it begins to shine*, would be the ULTIMATE *steam starts to shoot out from joints* VICTORY!!!! PLUS ULTRAAAAAAA!!!!
Byleth alts, yes, but I haven't heard about the Ori Mii. It wouldn't surprise me though because he has shared 6 Mii costumes that could be considered "Indies" including Cuphead, Kris, and Knight. He called Byleth's ALTs "costumes" so, as I've shown in some of my past posts, a vast majority of us took it literally and thought he meant Mii costumes. Some people got that info as early as October but I got it in late December, literally Christmas Eve.
While I get your point, there's a certain degree of coincidence when things stop being a coincidence. For example, if someone were to predict Amy the hedgehog for fighter #6, Frogger for fighter #7 and Geno for fighter #8, and the first two ended up true, I'd say that's a 100% chance that said person was dead on with insider info and that Geno was next. Why? Because the "guesses" were so incredibly random and unique that the chances of both being simply "lucky" would be less that 0.000000000001%. Room for doubt? Sure. But come on, the Goemon/Team Rocket thing still warrants more credibility than pretty much any other leak in existence right now.
Well, there's nothing that outright disconfirms it, so at the very least it's still in play.
One of the telltale signs of a fake leak is that they almost always base themselves on things that the general Smash fans are currently guessing at or anticipating as a way to seem more legit. For example, if everyone is expecting a certain character, then that character is likely to show up in their posts. If a costume is assumed to be a lock, then it'll appear on their list. The fact that the Mii Costume List correctly called both the Goemon outfit and the Team Rocket Grunt outfit at the same time is too much of a shot in the dark to be definitively fake. Seriously, who could've expected we'd get both of those as costume?
Since I'm planning on making my own BestGuyEver-esque video for Geno, I'd like to keep my choice a secret. At the very least know it's not Starman.
Heh, didn't Doom's music borrow heavily from metal bands such as Metallica, and Master of Puppets specifically is allegedly the direct inspiration for E1M1? Man, if both Doomguy and Geno get in together
Could the entire list be correct? Sure, but we also know that people like to take bets on twitter and delete the ones that are false for the sake of getting attention when said individual finds it its time to "get it out". We also know that Nintendo likes to put false information out there. The Mii Costume Guy could just have heard some names, and then thrown others for the sake of it/put some false inside the info in order to not get caught, or getting misinformation from Nintendo. There is also the potential scenario of the said individual also being extremely lucky so far. All three variables are potential scenarios for this entire leak no matter how ludicrous the last one might feel.
Honestly... I might’ve said too much in that regard. I’ve only heard murmurs of it on Discord and I assumed Fatman must’ve talked about it because other people on the Star Road Discord seemed to know exactly what I was talking about, but I guess they heard about it elsewhere.
I know it's prolly not very famous, but the song "Wishing Well" by Blink 182 has always given me strong Geno vibes.

Thanks, man. I ain't discouraged whatsoever. I got some great ideas that I know you'll all love, and I'm just DYING to show you all when the time (hopefully) comes.
It's for the same reason that when Cartoonshi did a video on Borderland 3's horrible story much in the style of Mauler it was enjoyable but made me wish that Mauler would now do his own video on BL3, or when two other channels did a B&K video like BGE but I still hoped he would do one. Sometimes, even with the simplest formats you come to love how a certain person performs, and often times it tend to be because they have mastered their craft. I can comfortably say that with BGE with his Smash - CONFIRMED series.
Still though, don't let that discourage you, as I will watch the **** out of that video you make bro!

I think the only reason Sakurai made Geno's Mii costume to have his gun was to fit the Mii gunner nicely.

That's utter bull****! Nintendo should let the fans create games with their IPs in that game. I guess if they're going to do that they should also take down all fanart and videos with their IPs presented in it as well.
I would argue that this was to be expected concidering they are known to kill fangame. Which begs the question of, if they can kill of projects on this... why not Flash? It is not like Dreams use assets from Nintendo.
It's because Dreams is only on Playstation. A direct competitor.
