Why I think the wild hare up our ass triple reveal rumor from November may actually be onto something:

-If Cacomallow is real but Geno's not 6, would they really wait a long time to reveal 7 (presumably Geno)?

-Smash website was updated for space in the code for 5, 6, and 7 around the time of Terry. I talk about this here back in early November:

-If the SNES game dump rumor is true, SMRPG has a decent shot of being one of the games given it was on the SNES Classic and both Virtual Consoles.

-Last Smash announcement will have been 4 months ago starting in early January. Gap between Joker and Heranjo was almost 7 months so having at least two characters to "tide people over" wouldn't be unusual.

Every time there's been a single character announcement trailer (Ridley, Isabelle, and Joker), it's been followed up by presentations with multiple announcements. Ridley was followed by the August Direct with 5 characters and two full on trailers, Isabelle was followed up by the November Direct with 3 characters and one technically two trailers (Keniroar and WoL), and Joker was followed by the E3 Direct with 2 characters with two full on trailers. Suppose this continues for Terry? Three characters but two trailers?

Fun stuff.

While I doubt there's as much as a single soul who speculates that hasn't thought about this, nintendo has always been abysmal with smash pacing. Just look at brawl/4/4's dlc/ultimate base. It feels like it's getting worse as time goes on too.

Honestly don’t know who character #5 could be if it’s western Could be Dovahkin (The Dragonborn) Played The Elder Scrolls Skyrim really like the game favourite in the series. Great role-playing and cool fantasy setting. Wouldn’t mind if it was him. But don’t know who it is Sabi and Vergeben are on not on character hunting season right now so could be anybody. They might load their riffles and start shooting characters down again soon though. So who knows.

#6 Sounds big but we’ll see. Could be a long-requested character or someone like Master Chief if that is true we wants it. We needs it!

Sakurai is very good at stirring up hype with reveal trailers. I didn't even really know who K Rool was beyond 'that DK villain' and didn't have much attachment to him, but I instantly wanted to play as him after that fist-clash shockwave with him and DK/Diddy. I hope people have the same reaction to Geno's trailer.

Maybe something akin to Sheik's, but him turning into a Star and flying up. Could be somewhat comparable to Fox's in that way. It still feels... a bit shoehorned, but it at least relates to him.

I was thinking of it being Geno Blast, honestly. Like let him have 3 levels of charge, and he goes more distance as he fires the lasers downwards, also doing damage to those beneath him.

January 6th is my educated guess for the date of the Direct. Amiibo launch on the 17th and there's no way it's in December. The 6th or the 8th is basically the 'halfway point' before the new Amiibo line launches, and Directs happening just before an Amiibo launch is one pattern we know is consistent

I dunno about three characters, but I can absolutely see 2 characters in the next direct, one to end the first FP and one to start the second. Otherwise it's gonna be a loooong snorefest of fan rules and speculations for what fighter pass 2's theme will be.

Seriously, though, they fit Banjo and Hero in a single direct, Simon and K. Rool in a single direct. And that's honestly only counting Ultimate as inspiration for directs and whatnot. For Sm4sh, they revealed Lucas, Roy, and Ryu all in a single direct that would've blown our socks off had it not leaked beforehand.

Smash has done more characters in a single reveal before, certainly they can do it again. Hopefully, it remains unleaked (about as unleaked as Fatman is attempting to keep it should what he know be even partially true) so that the reveal of such a thing can have its full impact. I want to be caught thoroughly off-guard, in spite of my hopes for who is shown.

It says "All packs will be released by February 2020", so that seems to indicate that we'll have the fifth Fighters Pass character by February 29, 2020 at the latest. However, a delay of some sort is still possible.
