After the name of Dante having popped up today, I got to thinking on the characters that supposedly won't be DLC Fighter #5 and just noticed something interesting.
- Crash: made a cameo in last year's TGAs, announcing Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled; and most recently there's been 1) images of a supposedly new render spotted on a bus where he's holding some car keys, and 2) rumors of a new Crash Bandicoot game in the works.
- Ryu Hayabusa: a few months ago was revealed to be a playable character in Warriors Orochi 4 Ultimate via Twitter (specifically on September 3; the day before the Nintendo 9.4.2019 Direct).
- Doom Slayer: DOOM games (1, 2, 3) have been ported to the Switch, as well as DOOM Eternal and DOOM 64 coming early next year (as announced by Pete Hines within the 9.4.2019 Nintendo Direct).
- Geno: No direct announcement in regards to him (with the exception of the anniversary tweet last year), but all the contrary; no Geno Mii Costume as of yet, nor even during Hero's reveal and Mii Costume showcase.
- Dante: Devil May Cry 1 and 2 have been ported to the Switch, and... although this might be a bit reaching but... the latest entry released within the DMC series is numbered V. ... Five...
WAS IT HIM ALL THIS TIME?!?! Ok ok, I kid, I kid. And as I was JUST writing this, Nintendo officially announces via twitter that we'll be getting Resident Evil spirits this upcoming Nov. 29. Like... WHAT?!?!?! That could go either way (increase Dante's chances for DLC, or solidify the chances of a RE rep within the DLC).
Come to think of it... oh God... we legit have RE 1 through 6 on Switch.
CAN IT BE?!?!?!?! AM I STILL ON THIS CRAZY TRAIN?!?!?!
