"The European starling is a medium-sized, black songbird with short, triangular wings, speckled plumage, and a short tail."
"They are about six inches long - similar in size to the America Robin - with a pointed bill that is yellow, but becomes dark in the fall."
"The wings have a green hue whereas the wing ending is brownish black."
"The new feather tips are whitish, giving the bird a speckled appearance. Over the winter sunlight and weather dulls the speckled look and the bird becomes uniform dark brown or black."
"Juveniles are drab gray-brown overall."
"The song is a rather quiet series of rattles and whistled notes, often containing mimicry of other bird species. Flight call a purring "prurrp.""
So what can we learn from these quotes? They're about Six inches long, A part of their body is Triangular, They're Yellow, Brown, And they have have a rattling like cry.
Six inches long is quite short but of course it's a bird so this very well may mean nothing I'm just throwing out ideas. It's still quite short though and most dolls or plushies come in sizes of 6-8 inches like:
This One,
This One, This One, This One, This One and plenty others. Maybe the size is mimicking a dolls size which is why they chose a short bird like this if the details do indeed matter.
A part of their body is triangular which in this case is their wings while Geno would have his nose as the triangular part of his body.
Yellow and Brown are two very predominant parts of Geno's color scheme as Geno is brown since he's a doll and parts of his cape and hat are Yellow.
And finally the big thing that really stood out to me from the very get go was the Rattling sound which many upon many of fan made trailers or animations have Geno associated with. Like
here for example, When Geno falls in this animatic he makes a rattling sound and I recall seeing this sort of association elsewhere plenty of times.
If the details do matter then there are some comparisons to be made.
