You are aware I suck against Sheik, and I pretty much let myself get f-air'ed to death FOR DAYS.

But sure :D

KK you should co-commentate with wobbles at somepoint.

And thanks for sortof clearing that up wobbles... Lol ^^

oh and does standard wobbling have any benefits over blizzobling? I find blizzobling easier and I mess it up less often.

Also I live in the midwest... Lol...
But i'm bad ^^

The hitbox of F-tilt comes out faster (like 10 frames) so it is easier to mash out of a blizzobling set up than normal wobbling. However, if you are going to wait before you do your first f-tilt (which you shouldn't IMO) then I don't see why you shouldn't use blizzobling. Personally, I find wobbling to be much easier, though.

I enjoy it too.

Have you guys all tried Project M? I think once ICs come out, I might just focus my time on that...

I'm on the PM dev team. I'll try to not make ICs stupid.

I'll still likely stick with the characters I currently play in PM instead, though, for the sake of a new experience.

ICs are too skewed right now between punishment and opportunity.

They have a few opportunities to hit way harder than anybody else, and a lot of gameplay is poking and waiting for those chances. More flexibility in the neutral game and better attributes should be compensated with less skewed grab stuff, IMO.

Their cool stuff is all escapable or involves lots of guessing and luck. Their efficient stuff is pretty boring. There are a few tricks that are effective AND look baller but they're hard to pull off, or really situational. I'd like to see a little re-working in that area.

I agree with Wobbles; I wouldn't really mind a nerfed grab game if they were given better spacing and approach tools. A little bit of extra range/disjointedness here and there would go a long way, because Project M seems to have a lot of big characters with big hitboxes.

I've been messing around Charizard. He's really straightforward to use and has some fun combos (and people seem to think he's bottom tier, so maybe he'll get some buffs in the next version).

ICs could win me back over, though. Melee ICs + some brawl mechanics (lboth being able to grab the ledge, improved squall, Popo being able to solo blizzard) has potential to be less of a glass cannon and more of a balanced, fun character to play.

I agree with shbairwavelandingness

Also the grab game is gonna be kinda nerfed from what I understand... I don't think the PMbr is going to add wobbling back, but i think we may get to keep the brawl blizzard (which is long as ****) :D

i agree with wobbles.

and a little extra range would do a lot for those little munchkins. they are really modest in the hitbox department.

Ok so I watched some old Chudat matches vs PC Chris's Fox from FC6, and I must say he is truly a genius at this game. Whatever happened to him?

Then I watched you Wobbles, play Chad's Fox in GF's...the first match. I compared both your playstyles. I'll say that Chudat was a bit faster, more technical, with a small usage of dsycns while your was more dsych/read based with more intricate trixies such as the dair edgeguard vs fox, and the blizzard nana dsync charged fsmashes. What do/did you guys think of Chu's ICs and how they fit in the metagame of today?

Also, I know this is more general, but how do you guys improve as players? I'm a struggling player(I'd say mid-mid high level atm), and I want to reach top level so badly, but I seem to have mental blcoks when I'm playing and I want to break those so I can start playing consciously and actively being engaged in my opponent's habits/patterns/playstyle. Any tips for overcoming this?

Chu has really strong fundamentals with this character. But he also has no tricks whatsoever and doesn't abuse much of their gayness (the set death combos, their projectile stuff, blizzard walls, etc).

He mostly just shows ICs can be played successfully even if you choose not to emphasize their unique features and play them kind of like a more conventional character.

Fly and Wobbles really specialize in certain aspects of them. They're still good players fundamentally, but they've chosen to exaggerate some (unique) qualities of ICs and built their styles around those things. It's a different approach and it's worked out well for them IMO.

I like that strategy, but I heard Brawlers (top level ofc) are starting to adapt and counter it with grab.

Hehehehe Brawl bashing - it is a legitimately fun game. It makes up for the decreased speed and jankier gameplay with a unique, drawn-out, chess-like mental game.

It's definitely not the worst thing they could've done with the serious. Still very fun to play with friends.

It does indeed have its moments.

The mod demands that talk of Brawl--positive and negative--shuffle itself back to the topic of Melee.

I think it already did...
You can't talk about brawl for more than a page without getting angry.

Also I may record stuff friday/this weekend because I found a way around corrupted video file stuff ^^

suggest music though, because I have no way to record sound and nobody seems to like my music .-.
