Lol, why not both? xD
Oh, I'm not saying that there's anything wrong with commentating, but knowledge isn't terribly useful if you can't execute it. If you can do both successfully, then there's obviously no issue.

i find that people generally get scared of ganon easily so...they might not be 'sandbagging' you, just nervous

maybe, maybe. i find that at least one of my kills during a match is caused by an extreme lack of ganon knowledge. the amount of time i get a kill with aerial wizkick because no-one expect it to kill at 100% is unacceptable

We don't have nearly the trouble with MK as we do with the characters taking his place.

Nah IMO MK is Ganon's worst matchup. Snake/Diddy/Wario/Marth really aren't awful for him. His biggest problem will be Falco... sure there will be some DDDs/ICs/Olimars that will give him trouble but I doubt that a lot of people will pick these characters up, considering how boring and unappealing they are to play.

Besides who would actually counterpick DDD or Icies against a Ganon? There are very few people who would go that low; most people would be too proud to switch away from their main even if they lose round 1 to a Ganon. After all "it's ganon right? lololol"

Considering that I've been to 2 MK banned tournaments already, I can say from experience that it is much less nerve wracking to bring my Ganondorf in during tournament sets without MK in the picture. I mean I still probably wouldn't subject myself to suffering through a DDD vs Ganon set, considering how many secondaries I have that do great against DDD... but my point is that there will be much less DDD, Icies, and Olimar players COMBINED than there are MK players right now.

There will probably be a lot of Falcos, but eh... just do what I do and pick up Pikachu lol. Problem solved... no one counterpicks Falco against you if they know you have a good Pikachu.

we still have nightmare matchups. all of my characters get wrecked by mk and d3 though, so yeah :L
anyway. uk has actually decided to ban mk and i'm honestly surprised we followed suit so quickly. we have a different stagelist, but otherwise its the same as unity

also ive recently realised my ganon is actually my best character, but becausei ke and rob are better characters themselves, i end up doing better with them. such dilemna's

Campy snakes are pretty bad for Ganon. Aggro snakes are even.

Yeah Mink, but I shouldn't be hated on for going my main, lol.

Also it's probably going to be straight Dedede for me until Apex, except in doubles.

Though I'll probably go MK if we host any gimmicky MK legal tournaments :awesome:

If you main DDD, then you're not counterpicking DDD against Ganon. You're just picking him. Big difference hehe.

exactly. ive learnt to never underestimate someone. its hurts me on more than one occasino to do so
Underestimating your opponent is always a mistake. Because if you're not underestimating him, then it wouldn't be a mistake. You'd just be estimating him.

professor! im reporting a uncalculatable amount of logic being released in this post!

very true. i underestimated a guy last time as i ***** him at the previous tournament...he had stepped it up big time and i ended up losing like a scrub XD

When I play, I always overestimate my opponent. There's a Japanese proverb that the old samurais use that goes something like, "enter battle hoping to live, and you will surely die; enter battle expecting to die, and you shall surely survive".

Superstition to be sure, and I'm not one who believes in superstition, but it's still an interesting proverb, if at least for a morale boost of sorts. XD
