is it okay that i can't consistently wavedash from the ledge, but instead waveshine? I can waveshine from the ledge quite consistently, just not normal wavedash.

also, can fox waveland onto the platforms of DL64? i can do it on battlefield, yoshi's, fountain, but not DL64. i figure he can it just is really hard?

and, does anyone sh uair with the c-stick? because i use A to do uairs because its really awkward with the c-stick, even if i switch to traditional right hand(i play overhand right hand)

Double post:

My game vs SFAT:

Since lovage asked. Might be a troll post, but wasn't sure.

My mood again: at this point after my set with hbox I was still pretty disappointed with my overall play. I was happy about coming close and all the support that everyone gave me.

I was also super tired, hands still hurt a lot (which i forgot to mention for the set vs Hbox), and just wanted the day to end so that I could sleep and also get away from the nightmare of a controller that I borrowed for the bracket (like between the 3 controllers I used after my main one broke, I couldn't even combo up-throw -> up-air on floaties if they DI the throw for almost a full month. I also couldn't do a thunders' combo for all that time [except vs jiggs cuz its way more lenient]). Before going into the set, I already knew that fighting spacies was near impossible for me at the time for the past month, since everyone is now way more technical than me. I also was not happy at all how my set with zac went in winners. I was trailing behind all the time having to rely on jank. Then got a lucky gimp to win game 1 (well he made a poor recovery choice). Then game 2 went similarly, but then he SD'd at 0% when we were both at 2 stocks. He didn't seem disappointed, but I couldn't even tell him that it was a good game. I really felt that I didn't deserve it (but a lot of BS happens to me as well so I still had to take it and continue). He is also a good guy as well as a really good player. I already knew that wasn't going to happen again. If he played slightly better set 2, then I auto-lose. Which he did.

Match 1: the rage quit
Game strategy was to try and play like how I play any fox ditto. I had to play way more passive in the previous set due to lack of execution. I found it fairly easy to hit and edgeguard him, but I kept dropping combos and couldn't pressure/space at all. So he was beating me with tech skill. I caught a few lucky breaks.

As everyone has probably seen, I quit within 2 stocks of the first game. He was running me over with his tech skill and I couldn't keep pace. On top of the SD, it was time to pack it up. Things weren't going to get better for me. Maybe worse for him, but it would'nt have been fun for me. So I just quit. I could go in depth in the matches, but you will actually just see "john" after "john" after "john".

I then told him that I really hope he gets 2nd place at least. But then the upset with Fly happened

The thing is. I can

The varying perception of "john" if ****ed. So it's a john in your eyes. Not mine.

Understanding what went wrong and how can also be used as a means to improve by variables like knowing what does/should work and what doesn't/shouldn't work. When, how, where, why to do certain things.

You lose invincibility and surprise factor for consistency ... but you could just learn it consistently the proper way and ****

The only thing you need to worry about is jumping as soon as you let go of the ledge

Honestly if you think you can't do it consistently enough you probably haven't really put much effort into it because it's not any harder than doing the waveshine ~_~

it's much harder than doing the waveshine for multiple reasons

and I say this as someone who has put many, many hours into ledgedashing and integrate it as part of my game plan

I mean I've also grinded out ledgedashes for hours and by this point I'm way more likely to die trying to waveshine off as opposed to regularly ledgedashing

Your ledgedashing in friendlies is the most perfect I've seen in seven years... in tournament its another story. ;)

I feel like ledgehop waveland is easier with out the shine. I mean I guess the latter is similar to wave-shining when it comes to timing, but I just feel like the former is easier for some reason. It's not even one of those things you have to actually practice a whole lot either, it's far easier than like implementing jc shine in your initial dash animation for access to more shines imo.

do stuff -> win

that's how everyone who doesn't play fox thinks you play fox...but oddly they don't play fox.... weird.

I keep hearing about Steins;Gate. When I have a proper computer again, I'll put it on my list of anime to watch.
