Sorry I ment V Dropping not Z.

Vidjo Dropping, aka V drop:
Named after its discoverer Vidjogamer. Usually, peach cannot Z drop a turnip while floating, attempting to do so will mean she will do a standard throw forward and lose the float. However if you do an aerial while floating, then right at the end of the aerial press Z, the turnip will drop and you will maintain your float. It is not gamebreaking, but it is traditionally used to combo a dair - vdrop - dair - nair. Another use is that while recovering to the stage, you may have a turnip on hand, if so you can float above the stage, do an aerial, vdrop, then continue to float to find a safe landing space using the dropped turnip as cover, or you can just v drop off the stage if you don't want the turnip anymore.
Can be used to land a bob omb.

Would removing the springs from my controller help at all?

And would it be allowed in tournaments?

yes, yes you can. there are a couple ways, first off if you are in shieldstun you can just hold Z. because you are in shieldstun you will not grab, and Z is a buffer to full size lightshield. Also if you hold your shield just barely above the point where it clicks then when you go to that point you will have a nearly full size lightshield from then on.

^ this also works, but i don't like this method because you can't shieldgrab out of it, and you prolly have to claw if you want to wd out of it with out accidentally dropping ur shield.

edit: lol shieldgrab, i should be saying shine oos or something more efficient. you shouldn't be trying to shield grab out of lightshields anyway, or shine either...prolly just wavedash oos

I don't go to tourneys anyway, so that wasn't a big concern lol

Thanks for your help though!

And can someone help me with CC'ing?

I try to CC and dtilt/dsmash/shine when be repeatedly jabbed and the success rate of doing these attacks is pretty low

ZOSO plays without springs. I'm in RI so I stopped by to play today and when I picked up his controller the shoulder buttons threw me way off!!! Always makes me laugh, cause I'd LOVE to play with R/L buttons only but I do LIGHT SHIELD heavily.

I think it's best to just develop the muscle memory for whatever controller you're using. If you NEED to for whatever reason play without analogue, do it! It's a great experience.

if you want looser triggers you can cut your springs in half. warning i only did it once (like 4 years ago for the controller i still use) but it worked back then. try at ur own risk.

KOOL KOMBO IDEAZ
(that i noticed when i was ****ing around in training mode and vs. compz)
((no idea if they're good on humans or practical whatsoever lol))

- shine to side-B is a legit combo and, if you do it fast enough, will even work on spacies as an alternative to thunders combo. side-B also seems to always knock down (if they're not CC'ing) so you get like a techchase or jab reset out of it. anyway it seems really good vs like marth on FD or whatever (and like vs. luigi lol)
- i think first hit uair (land before second hit comes out) combos directly into ftilt or upward angled ftilt. could probably end a chaingrab with this, and i THINK it's deceptive enough that if you don't abuse it they might miss the tech after the ftilt so you could get a free usmash or shine usmash or drill reset at the end of a chaingrab

mostly just writing them down so i remember to try them vs people at a smashfest lol

Depends on the percent and the character your facing. CC shine is the easiest because of 1 frame. Do it it from 0%-50 or 55%.

It depends on the type of jab. If its a regular jab. shine out of CC. If its a get up attack, usmash or fsmash out of CC (depending where you are in the stage). don't know much about dtilit and dsmash out of CC though. I only use dtilt out of CC when ganondorf fairs me or Falcon knees me at 0% respectively.

Edit: One more post ehh Brookman?

I saw Zhu do this once (at least I believe it was Zhu's Fox) and I thought it was pretty cool. Can't they SDI out of the uair though?
It's probably possible but I always do first hit uair->utilt near the end of my chaingrabs and sw has yet to get out of it >.>

plus usually you're moving forward with the uair a little bit so even if they SDI away (the logical option), utilt would probably be within range anyway

so they'd have to SDI up, and if you use any move besides sh uair that would be REALLY bad combo DI

This sounds really interesting though... I want to make an original combo and use it effectively...

Also Warhawk, if its only the first hit your not sdi-ing out of anything...
I meant like SDI-ing the first hit so that the uair's first hit can't be chained into an uptilt or grab. About a month ago on the Falco boards Zhu was discussing first hit uair combos with Falco and said that if your opponent caught on they could SDI out of the combo. Then again, SDI-ing it up like Toph was saying could put you in a bad position regardless, so I guess it doesn't really effect it too much.

its possible of course, but it isn't an easy sdi at all. if they were smart they could sdi based on which way you ran at them with the falling uair but very few players i know that do that. doing the uair as late as possible and utilting really fast will increase your chance of success

As I said earlier, I'm in RI and I visited zoso. We played with this guy Travis. He plays FALCO!! lol

anyway. . I start with pichu and the best I was able to do is get him to one stock. :L he womps me first two games. I play falcon and lose spamming falcon punch/Up B/side b (didn't use down b for some reason??). I play marth and scrape out a few wins. ...I'm thinking "this is exceptionally boring"

Apparently, he agrees.

After only a few matches he is switching to ROY. I go to Kirby. 3xstock

Glad that was handled correctly.

I think we falco ditto. I finish the match by reading/reacting to his immediate double jump recovery out of my back throw and spike his side b with my own. He seemed impressed. I told him I'd never done that before to anybody ever.

I go fox.

I go fox and I realize I'm really bored playing him cause his style is simply intolerable for entertainment. I get stock leads and laser camp + back air him till I'm a drooling zombie.

Moral of the story. If you only want to play for fun: DONT ENTER TOURNAMENTS.

the dog,the dog he's at it again!
Could someone give me some fundamental knowledge for the marth matchup? Stuff like how to DI upthrow combos and getting out of chaingrabs and general knowledge for approaching and stuff.

I'm generally not too agressive when I play this matchup but lately it hasn't been working very much.

Any advice is appreciated.
