Wow, his Marth is much more fast paced, is this what EL meant by NEO prgressing the metagame? Discuss.

Notes:

Punishes Doom's Lucario with DB alot.
Dashes the hell outta the stage, barely walks (which is great for spacing, but he has no problem lol)
Uses N-Air as a very good wall (Meep!)

on the second stock in match 1that lucario could've directed his up b to the wall and clung to it then did a wall jump back to the stage. Azen did it in a double's match. It was amazing. Good jon Neo. I get it he's the black marth cuz he's neo!

Every great Marth that has success at high level play is very offensive. Players like Neo, Royr, Danimals, ect are all aggressive. I just don't see how playing defencive takes advantage of Marth's strengths -- his shield pressure, safe attacks, range, and punishment. All of Marth's best attributes make him an incredible offensive character IMO.

Marth actually has a good defense, yes play agressive, but his defense is not a bad tactic too. Isn't defense a smarter way to play against MK do to his speed and outranging?

Because, we all do. And Ken isn't even putting work in @ whoever said he's on Neo's level. Yeah, he's beast at Melee, but I don't think that gives him a free ticket to Kingship in Brawl. The rest of the 'pros' put the work in.

And agreed. His UpB outta shield on that level makes his Marth better than mine. His style is similar to mine, but . . . I think I'm more grounded these days. I prefer to chase, and mindgame more. I play with my prey, he traps his. Ironically, I get hit less. Of course, that's just what I can see from these two vids.

ROFL. Marth's defense is amazing. I can play entire matches on the defense. His range to keep you at bay, dtilt to stop ground approaches, ftilt to stop oncoming aerial approaches, utilt to stop aerial approaches, and dancing blade to punish, with Dolphin Slash and counter to make breathing room, and jab to be flexible, makes Marth a highly well rounded defensive options. I suggest mastering new styles of play to increase your game.

No, but it's tricky for Lucario to break out of, and there are also tiny mindgames involves, since Marth might Dancing Blade.

I'm not saying that Melee experience doesn't help with Brawl tremendously, but considering how many melee vets still play melee and don't even like Brawl, if you've never won a significant Brawl tournament, and almost no one has ever seen you play Brawl, I'm not going to sit here and call you a Brawl pro.
