I'm not hating on Marvel. Rather, I'm fed up with how it seems most Marvel players won't play anything else but Marvel. So this is a case where I can't stand the fanbase. I'll genuinely watch some Marvel if it's on a stream I'm watching for a little while.

Meanwhile, I'm here trying to get better in Tekken where my only source of multiplayer is online where I can't block, parry, or throw escape outside of mashing or having to guess each time.

I guess I'm just venting out, is all.
I cant believe my dumb self overlook this lol. If you play Tekken that we need to get games in soon lol as long your on PSN?

Nah, I'm on XBL. However, I"m highly considering getting a PS4 in the future.

I have a 360 only because I had SF4 on my dad's 360 at the time, and that we're an XBOX state. Otherwise, I never bought a single 360 exclusive so I'm thinking of making the jump because I know otherwise I'm better off on PSN.

Also that glitch has just been banned at EVO now i'm sad :(. https://twitter.com/EvilMrWizard/status/332328825390264320
...

what...

Okay, so I don't play marvel and I don't really understand this glitch too well, but you need to be killed by chip damage right?
Couldn't you avoid it by just letting yourself get hit? Plus if you screw up your opponent gets to have two characters on stage at once, which could be interesting if they know how to use this.

Even if that's not the case, it seems like a big overreaction right now. Not even a day to see how it affects the game?

Well if we are going to think like that, Guilty Gear XX Accent Core and Skullgirls are the only viable games for Evo. :/

IDK man but the decision has been made. Also more vids about it showing even more broken stuff.

Haven't tried Skullgirls, but GG is damn awesome and deserved more attention than something like Marvel. It's bad image for fighters.

Add VF5FS and possibly TTT2 to that list as well.
I haven't noticed anything glitchy or anything of the sort with Tag 2. The worst thing is probably the Mishimas and online lag, but the former is definitely something you can overcome with time. Meanwhile, Virtua Fighter is Virtua Fighter. Even if that game was at EVO, only the Japanese would play it.

Guilty Gear's in an odd place IMO. It's a last gen fighter that's hard as hell to get into, something that doesn't appeal a whole lot of people.

True, it's hard as hell to get into, but the characters are all so interesting that it's all worth it imo.

Dont forget that GG is the O.G of anime FG's. My scene has a few O.G players luckily and I'm still trying to learn it and Slayer stuff.

The double Level 3's using that glitch in Marvel reminds me of SFxT Cross Arts lol.

I disagree with GG being "hard as hell" to get into, imo it has an unfair reputation of being very difficult.

And when talking about being really good at GG, it's true that there is a lot to learn and you really need to spend time on it it if you want to get far. But I also think GG is very kind towards low level gameplay, the game has some strong defensive options and good fundamentals can get you places. You just need to start off with the basics and take your time with harder things like FRCs.

I would personally recommend GG over UMvC3 as a starting point, low level in GG is not complicated at all.

Sure, but the amount of mechanics in the game is scary for new players. At least you don't need to know any complex combos early on, a few hits will do enough damage for some time.

Rutger's right, GG's pretty easy to get into. People just want to build it up as the most complicated fighter in existence. Universal mechanics and gatlings make the game user-friendly. No one has to learn the hard stuff right away and there are plenty of easy characters too. Also hate the "my game is super complicated, go play my game because it's legit" mentality. You can get by without learning everything until you meet specialists, just like any other fighter.

I'm torn since I kind of feel like Vampire Savior is the OG anime fighter. GG did add universal air dash and (eventually) bursts.

I agree that GG is pretty forgiving on new players. Whenever I show it to a friend who wants to try it, they have an easy time grasping how each button works and how the basic mechanics flow.

Well good point about VS but that would mean that Capcom created the birth of the anime FG's? CONSPIRACY. But anyway a little promotion for the guy but if anyone here are learning knowledge on Tekken and SC, I know a guy who is a T.O who do podcast for TTT2 and SCV on characters and players so if you wanna enhance your knowledge on these games and the characters and wanna level your game up a bit you can check out his channel here http://www.youtube.com/user/kitaenjacks .

Also what do people think of that Chinese FG KOF style game Xuan Dou Zhi Wang?

My issue is how most competitive games and such are about outplaying the opponent, reading them and then punishing them. In Marvel 2 or 3 hits can be enough to finish a match. Now is this about how outplayed the opponent or about who has the best techskill?
Also the fact that Marvel players bash Brawl for being crap and they play a game with zero interaction between players and a game where blocking kills you.

Don't get MvC2 mixed up with MvC3 yo.

But I guess you can play crap and still call out crap. Not saying that either game is crap though, hated MvC3 from the start but I'm starting to take some interest with the new stuff being discovered.

Hope you get some juicy info in that podcast. Also I suggest listening to the other ones to help fighting against or learning those characters. Also waiting for the Raphael podcast and possibly I can try to get on there.

First thing I did with this: C blackspot to Godhand. It was SO much easier omg. Now to try out bold cancel.

And yes, my wiring organization is horrible. It's really hard to group everything together neatly =/

Looks pretty nice, Crusayer. I'm also one of those that are more comfortable with arrow keys instead of wasd.

It was the only option I could find for the custom build outside of carving one myself.

Crap, for a second I thought you meant like "cars" like Stinger from Fighters Megamix where you actually fought legit as a car. That would've been awesome.

This may sound like a weird question, but are there any female characters in Jojo's?
Jolyne Kujo. Very likely she was a partial base for Juri since the initial leak for SSF4 compared Juri to her.
