I swear, Marvel is the most hated game by people who don't play it.

I mean, I get it. Everyone has games they like and games they don't. But bashing on a game doesn't help anyone, and it's divisive and alienating. Why would someone try the game you love if you hate on the game they love? I don't like SFIV, but ****ting on it won't make people any more receptive to playing my anime games.

Yes, having a good defense is important. Because the players who consistently place well in Marvel have good fundamentals in general.
I'm not hating on Marvel. Rather, I'm fed up with how it seems most Marvel players won't play anything else but Marvel. So this is a case where I can't stand the fanbase. I'll genuinely watch some Marvel if it's on a stream I'm watching for a little while.

Meanwhile, I'm here trying to get better in Tekken where my only source of multiplayer is online where I can't block, parry, or throw escape outside of mashing or having to guess each time.

I guess I'm just venting out, is all.

Like I said, I haven't played Marvel, I will eventually though, it's just not a priority atm.

I really wanna play KOF though. Never played a single one before, and the game looks awsome.

I suck eggs at Tekken, but oh well.

MK looks pretty good too. Kinda like SC, easy to learn, not too deep, but it has SOME competitive scene.

I suck badly at KOFXII and TTT2 too, but thankfully TTT2 has a really good netcode, and the odd time I do get an offline KOFXIII match going its awesome despite knowing nothing.

DOA's surprisingly nice to watch too. I admittedly kind of wish it got into that final game spot for EVO this year, but hey. It's funny, but the more broader range of fighting games I watch, the more I seem to appreciate the individuality and differences of them.

DOA community is hella small and gets the most crap out of all the FG's and possibly smaller than the VF community IMO :( . Also waiting for Evo 2103 special announcement right now on Wake UP SRK.

DOA is another game I've always wanted to try. Dem boobies intense and complex fighting mechanics.

Well damn, that's pretty cool. Though...that's gonna be a stream nightmare, so I kind of hope they like...do it on a 4 games Day 1, 5 games Day 2 thing. Like, I can't see them doing more than 5-6 games Top 8s on Day 3, and you know 2 of those are going to be AE and Marvel. I'm really curious how the Top 8s of the other games would go, and other than my personal prediction that Melee will be concluded by Day 1 as to get the CRT and Gamecube issue out of the way early, I have NO IDEA what days P4A, Injustice, MK9, KOFXIII, TTT2, and SFxT2013 will be on. Though...if you made me guess, I'd suspect TTT2 for Day 3, and SFxT2013 for Day 2 with KOFXIII being the Day 2 finale as not to burn out the crowd for AE and Marvel again.

They couldn't have put Skullgirls or ST as a 9th game after tens of thousands of dollars but Injustice comes out and magical 9th spot appears for free? I don't even play either of those games and I feel like they just got hit in the face here.

Yeah...I admit it's kind of odd and feels a bit wrong. People on SRK are shouting conspiracy theory and suspecting NRS offered the EVO organizers money to include it.

I kinda chuckled through reading some of this, I guess if a game doesn't let you burst it isn't good?

Gotta have a strong D
My issue is how most competitive games and such are about outplaying the opponent, reading them and then punishing them. In Marvel 2 or 3 hits can be enough to finish a match. Now is this about how outplayed the opponent or about who has the best techskill?
Also the fact that Marvel players bash Brawl for being crap and they play a game with zero interaction between players and a game where blocking kills you.

Dude I called it Injustice being at Evo it was so obvious and now smash and SG folks are crying about it lol. Money makes the hungry FGC go round.

Yeah, I know like money, sponsorships, etc have a lot to do with EVO because holy hell, running an EVO can NOT be cheap in any stretch of the imagination, but that still doesn't mean SG should get left with nothing.

Gotta get the cash, gotta get the dough.

Most fighting game players bash Brawl (I play smash AND Brawl and bash it too) I don't think I've ever blocked something and died (I mean, unless you're talking about having almost no health left and blocking something, but complaining about chip would be silly), and if you drop a combo you won't kill someone.

I know some games like P4A make it so you can't die from chip damage. Conversely, there ARE games like MK9 where you take chip damage from every attack, even normal ones.

Seriously? In Marvel there basically is not block. Even if you block you are going to eat a ****load of damage. Blocking should be blocking instead of a blockstring touch of death combo.
Look at TvC for some great chip damage. It's barely anything, but it still makes you not want to block everything. But TvC is an exceptional game in many ways so it would be unfair to compare it to something like UMvC3.

It seems like every other week, some new glitch or something is found.

Yep yep also last video on it. It seems like that only Nova and Super Skrull can only do it ATM.

EDIT: Screw it cause Zero can do it as well with a assist character.

Alright I swear this is the last time I post about it. The first one is the glitch with a Viper unblockable. Second one is a haggar one being a boss.

This new bug is cool.

I really hope it becomes a great offensive tool, the possibility of eliminating one of your opponent's characters when they are at full health sounds amazing. :3

Viper apparently being able to land an unblockable after it is set up is a good sign.

I guess you could try to kill both.

Might be an easier, better idea.

I was only thinking about how the extra character no longer exists when it leave the stage. I may have been trying to make it more complicated than it is. :P

This...is horrifying. I mean, not quite "if Arakune's bees were unblockable" horrifying, but still. That's scary stuff, especially since I'm imagining someone taking advantage of this with Vergil and a Morrigan using the mirror super.

Is there a reliable way to blockstring someone into an airtight POWER OF THE NOVA FORCE super, or any of the other moves that cause comboable deadbody? 'Cause the glitch only works if you get chipped to death, afaik.

Technically, yes.

But you have to get chipped to death with very low life, and they could just alpha counter or x-factor to negate it. Maaaybe even pushblock?

I heard 3rd character can't block from this. And killing one of the characters (maybe the 3rd) ends the game even if the other is alive.

There's a video that shows it working without chip. But it could be that the first hit chipped while the rest comboed. It was a little weird.

While I doubt this will be the norm and change up the game, I'm sure glad I use Zero since his body explodes.
