I'm liking the changes to SFxT alot. It feels way faster than it used to.
My thoughts are the same. I'm trying Elena/Xiaoyu at the moment and I really like Elena.

Hwoarang, huh Sakurazaki? I admittedly gave up on him quickly in TTT2 because whenever I'd try to do punch strings he'd just stop and do that weird taunt and I'd eat half a life bar. Bouncing around a bunch of teams in that, just like in SCV I don't think I'd be able to find a main yet.

And methinks I'll be on P4A later today too. With my printer working, maybe I can some actual Narukami combos...while remembering to NOT try to do everything at once, picture when they could be useful, and not neglecting fundamentals.
Sounds like this taunt is actually the flamingo stances. Those are important.

I haven't touched Tag 2 since Tuesday, but I need to get back into playing that.

If you're talking about the thing where he stands there and kind of does a half-circle type motion with both his arms, then yeah....I may just stick with Forrest Law over him.

Man, I have a bunch of people I've been trying to alternate team stuff with. From like King/Jaycee, Leo/Miharu, Armor King/Nina, Forrest Law/Hwoarang (who I'm pretty sure I'm subbing out as mentioned above) and kinda mix/matching them. I suspect I may settle on Armor King/Forrest Law if that can be good, but hey.

So, I've got a kind of dumb question to the other stick users out there that I've always wondered about but never tried. I use the middle D-Pad setting on my PS3 stick and have since I got it, but is there any notable difference if you try using the Left Stick setting to well, the left of it? Like does it recognize some things any differently is there more/less lag on things, etc?

If you're going to do Leo/Miharu, use Xiaoyu instead as I generally hear that Miharu is a worse version of Xiaoyu. The big thing that set me off from using Miharu is that her uf 3+4 ALWAYS lands on her butt unless it's a TA bound, and I have rarely used that move as a TA starter.

My advice on team making is to make sure your characters have consistent ways of tagging out each other in the middle of combos and are somewhat similar but have complementing aspects. Tag benefits helps a lot too. Like, put Jaycee with either Michelle, Lei, Leo, Feng, Wang, or Xiaoyu and she gets her Lashing Arrow back which is REALLY good for her comboing off her high launchers like her qcf+2.

I actually have the original PS1 version of Alpha 3, and will bust it out sometimes. It's sooo good. Like, I miss the Alpha series and CVS1/2 versions of Sakura over the SFIV version so much. The current version of her just doesn't seem as fun to use.

I used to dislike Alpha 3, but now I find it kinda fun. Game's pretty silly though.
I also main Sakura. She's pretty good and her custom combo does 70 percent or so of their health and it's easy.

Plus, of course, I like my footsie characters.

I maintain that she's a LOT more footsie now than she was back then but...I was much younger playing Alpha 3 (not at time of release, like 99-ish) and the CvS games so that could be childhood warped memories.

She's always been good at footsies. Alpha 3, it's all about back Fierce for her.
CvS2 just took Alpha 3 Sakura to the next level and gave her more special cancelable moves and a dive kick lol.

In AE though, I feel like her normals can't really compare with the stronger characters.
It's hard to get in with her.

Surprisingly, Sakura is considered a high tier character in AE because once she does get in, it's extremely hard to get her off. That's what I've at least heard.

Personally her CVS2 and Alpha 3 versions are probably some of her best, AE doesn't really compare.

I love the anthology XD.

Although I spent more time playing Hyper Street Fighter Alpha- Alpha with parries was awesome. I'm crap at Alpha though, I used R.Mika, Cody, Sakura, Gen, Akuma, Dan, and Fei Long.

I'm starting to have second thoughts with SFxTK. I think, for the most part, it's a good game, but I'm starting to feel methodical to me. I kind of had similar feelings with KOF: Good game, but not for me. After my time in Tekken, games with a stronger sense of mobility like 3D fighters, Smash, and wavedash fighters make more sense to me.

That's good to hear. SkullGirls definitely deserves a spot of some kind at EVO in my opinion.

Both games deserved to make it. At least Skullgirls got a really good consolation prize.

Pretty much gotta agree. I think it's good that Skullgirls gets some of it to be streamed and personally, I think EVO's going to be a bit more hype because of it.

Dudes I'm so glad all this is happening to SkullGirls. To be honest, I used to be afraid that SkullGirls was going to die if it lost, but holy crap I was totally proven wrong.

Life is kinda cool sometimes!

And I think the same would've happened for Melee, though it wouldn't get as much attention.

Rutger plays generic characters who take no skill but end up mid-tier.

"Jimnymebob plays girly characters who constantly down-back but sucks with them."

Hah! I suck, but I don't constantly down-back. My lack of crouch blocking and the fact I suck could be connected though.
