There was like a vampire fever thing going on in 2010 and even MMO's have picked up on it: http://eq2wire.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/12/vampire_teaser2.jpg
WoW had a counter with the Worgen: http://ilovewerewolves.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2010/06/worgen.jpg

Now honestly this whole horror fiction thing is getting old.
There are a lot of cool thing in mythology.
So my question is, what is your favorite creature in mythology (yes you can say vampire or werewolf)?

It is so hard to narrow it down so I am just going to name off one of my favorites.
I really like imps. German imps by the way. In German mythology imps are little tiny creatures about a foot tall or so that run around and prank people. They team up and get into all sorts of mischief. The thing that made me first like them was overlord.

What about you?

Captain Falcon.

Seriously though, I'd probably have to go with Dragons, as obvious as that might be.

I'm not quite sure what it is about the idea of a beast as large as a truck, but they are definitely my favourite.

Um why, I'm religious and I don't care if people like mythical beings, heck I like them too :p.

And yea, I'm gonna have to go with a dragon, but the Bowser one that Omnicron's Baklava Enterprises' posted is pretty beast, not gonna lie.

Cthulhu's nice and all, but he's got nothing on Iku Turso from Kalevala imo.

Note to self, be sure to mark down people who don't know any Lovecraft monsters outside of Cthulhu as something that annoys me.

Besides, Cthulhu isn't even that cool. He gets nailed back into R'lyeh because a ship crashed into his noggin.

You know what's a scary mythical monster? Whatever the **** that thing was in Colour out of Space.

I honestly don't care for the Lovecraft pantheon in the slightest. I like Cthulhu only due to a series of running jokes involving him being Ika Musume's father, and the thought of a slice of life series depicting their interactions makes me giggle like a goofy schoolgirl.

It's a good thing that this blog is subjective enough so that I don't have to justify my choice, but I will anyway because I'm just that nice.

I can understand Lovecraft not being your thing, but it just kind of annoys me that Cthulhu is loved by everyone despite the fact that Call of Cthulhu is far from Lovecraft's best. Hell, Cthulhu himself really isn't even that important, he has one story and is mentioned off-hand in one or two others if I recall.

I guess it's the same reason why I dislike FF7, everyone is so busy worshiping it to the point where any other FFs and JRPGs get brushed aside despite many being superior.

While I completely understand you from an objective standpoint, I'm sure you realize that when it comes to personal preference, their tastes are better than your tastes regardless of the situation, and they can use their favourite series/character/whatever as their means of a comparative standard.

It annoys me when people dislike the second season of Minami-ke due to the fact that there's a slightly different palette scheme, and the series is focused more on its slice of life aspect in lieu of a bit of situational humour. While it's a different approach, it doesn't make the series bad!

But I digress. This blog is about dragons, unicorns, and other such things.

I like em too, I just think they have taken the whole werewolf vampire thing or just plain vampire fiction a bit to far. When I saw the preview for Day Breakers I was like "that is it!".
But yeah, I like vampires. I'm actually reading Dracula by Bram Stoker right now. It is actually a very good book.

What's with your signature then?

I'm not a worshipper btw, just wondering... lol
Because it's funny.

Just to clear things up, I think FF7 is a good game, but it's just a very overrated one that sadly sucks up the glory that other JRPGs deserve.

OKAY! Diversion over! Back to mythical beasts!

Phoenix by far. I love how they're so focused on revival and rebirth. Also I just love birds a lot.

Dwarfs/gnomes. Not the cute "HIGH HO HIGH HO" ones but these:

D*MN SUPERNATURAL U SCARY

I suggest that if you believe in the supernatural heavily you do not see this before you go to bed. The first video will always haunt me for some reason.
