The manga was vastly greater than the anime. The anime was rather disappointing compared to it, actually, especially L's English voice.
The first two Japanese live-action Death Note films are great, too.

Death Note isn't my favourite anime of all time, but it's definitely up there among the top.

but seriously one of the best animes of All time is Urasawa Naoki's Monster. defintely my favorite

Nothing holds a candle to them...? That's a load of rubbish. Bleach and Dragonball are alright, but they're two of the most tedious, repetitive and unoriginal anime's ever. Why, even the manga is better than the anime.

I actually haven't seen all of the anime episodes yet, so I don't know how that particular event was actually handled. But I agree; the dubs were really terrible. I suppose I could just watch them subbed, though.

Uh... what? They aren't really old anime's, neither are they anywhere close. Them anime's were made late last decade/this decade, meaning they're not very old at all.

Anyway, like many others here, I also like a lot of anime shows... a lot. Oh, and as for the person that mentioned Case Closed!, I've only ever read the manga, but that was great. Hopefully the anime is just as good.
Unfortunately, hardly any anime gets shown over here in the UK, so I mainly have to depend on buying them, which is almost as difficult.
If you want me to list all my favourite anime's, I will. Otherwise, I'll just point out whether I like an anime of which someone else mentions.
Fruits Basket hasn't been given a mention yet, may I say.

IM Watching higurashi ATM. And i certanly did not forget it. i was making the list at my cousins house and i had to go.

I find it difficult to distinguish a personal favourite anime.
A question that I feel is on topic, aimed at those who's favourite anime is Naruto: what is it that makes Naruto so appealing to you, and have you at least watched at least 5 other anime? (Poke'mon, Digimon, Yu-Gi-Oh!, Dragonball (series), FMA, Bleach and One Piece not included, seeing as that they are also highly popular/well-known anime)
I'm not digging at the fans of Naruto, nor am I stating that it's rubbish. I simply want your opinions, so please answer the questions I've stated above.
As far as I'm concerned, this anime show is one of the most overrated ones in existence, something Shonen Jump anime seems to be good at.
