Meh, just two fanboys who refuse to admit that MS and Sony had crappy conferences.

I liked how the guys at screw attack summed up Microsoft's press conference (STRONG LANGUAGE ALERT): http://screwattack.com/videos/Exclusive-Microsoft-Press-Conference-Recap

No, it's not because they don't bend over backwards to warship Japan, it's just because they're a bunch of MS and Sony fanboys over that at IGN (more so MS than Sony).
I love ScewAttack. Angry Video Game Nerd for the win.
IGN does a decent job w/ their work.

Anyone who says anyone's conference was below 7/10 or above 9/10 is being biased.

Side Note: I may get a 3DS after all, the PSPgo is still $250.
Gunmaster, coming from someone who loves Sony almost as much as Nintendo, PSP is fail. I pre-orded it, I kept optop of it, it was fail. UMDs were a failure because of slow loading time and little room for data. (They could not compress that well, etc.) PSPgo is decent but still, downloading everything just sounds like Apple, and with no physical copy can be risky. (IMO)

Honestly, Microsoft was the only one who did bad. Sony did okay, I'm more or less upset at companies for the lack of appropriate sequels/new content, but Sony doesn't help the matter. (Sponsoring the games, they have the right to *****. They see cash games and go "whatever")

But saying 9/10 over is biased is pretty much saying IGN is biased, which contradicts what you said earlier, because IGN praised Microsoft with holy words of goodness. It doesn't take much to see they flopped, Sony meh, and for once Nintendo did great. (Which means they are going to have bad years soon)

"You can't spell Ignorance without IGN" <.<

^ Just remember, I didn't make it up. I stole from a guy who hates IGN. There is also one for Gamespot I believe... "You can't spell *** without Gamespot" I don't know though, I perfer GS over IGN.

Edit: Nintendo is scaring me these days.

Yes, PSP DID fail. I bought it the day it came out and all the games sucked, super slow loading times, pretty low memory, annoying power switch position (the DS also shares this distinction), etc. I know your pain son.

I agree, Sony did ok. Microsoft and Sony could've used more room for games and less room for shoving their new apps down our throats

Yes, you see what I mean right! Microsoft disgusted me this conference (do you think I CARE what the underside of an avatar's shoe looks like?), yet IGN only gave it good words. Nintendo deserved all the praise, yet they made Nintendo sound like it gave a mediocre conference.

Oh my god what game did you get with PSP? I got Darkstalkers the fighting game, Brotherhood of the Blade (good game, actually), and Rengoku (lol fail fail fail)

I pawned my psp to get my Girlfriend Pokemon Platinum for her bday last year, that is how cool I am.

And yeah, everyone tends to hate Nintendo that loves Sony/Microsoft to fanboy death. Dunno why.

It's just because Nintendo isn't "hardcore" or some similar bull****.

Either that or they're just trying to keep the fanboys off their backs.

Hmm... this makes me wonder what Gaming would be like if non-gaming companies never got involved.

I can't remember that much anymore actually, but I do remember that I got GTA Liberty City Stories. Blegh. It even sucks as a music player.

It sucks that just because Nintendo releases "kiddy" games, people have to hate on it the one time that Nintendo pulls out all stops and actually changes many people's minds (including me) on how good Nintendo is.

It kind of makes me sad that even though Ninendo does put out games tarted at older audiences (Eternal Darkness, Metroid Prime, ect.) they just kind of ignore that and still keep the "kiddie" company label on them.

Oh my god

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xavIuDbwrCk&feature=channel

These guys are being waaaaaaaay too kind to Microsoft and Sony, and they're not giving Nintendo enough credit...
Nintendo expert: "Ninty ****ing *****"
Microsoft expert: "uhhhh...tie? Kinect was sorta cool, sorta"
Sony expert: "uhhhh...tie? Move was kinda awesome, a bit"

Not to mention, they IGNored the Ninty guy after giving him 20 seconds to talk at the beginning, while both of the other guys still gave Ninty props for their conference. I think we all know who won.

Dude, they only gave it props to be polite, they obviously got the one guy who loves Nintendo at IGN, they never said that they tied

GTA, yeah.

Maestro you should know people have different tastes, though gamewise the Microsoft guy didn't back up his arguments.

Side Note: The Legend of Zelda SS may already be finished. Read up on Miyamoto's interview from ign.

It's not polished though. They'll refine everything and make it better, they always do. I just now realized TP and WW looked ugly as **** on their demos/trailers compared to the real deal. And GTA for psp definitely was one of their better titles, but it got boring. Brotherhood of the Blade was epic though.

And Roach, it was probably problems that weren't related to their software, it can happen. If it was, oh well **** happens, eh? Look at the Ditto Rage glitch, XD.

I never would've though Epic Mickey would be so...epic? And Portal 2 looks cool, but meh. Best on both systems? I agree that is dumb.

You're welcome.

And seriously, if people don't like what they see they should just give it time. A ton of stuff they show in early trailers and such are usually cut anyway.

I can't believe Ubisoft had one. I was dissing Rayman and then realized, Rayman is pretty cool I feel ignorant now =/.

Konami needs to remake the old yugioh cards, not games. Me/my gf/my best friend duel with old cards, no GX/5Ds.

D: Yes I'm a nerd.

So, I was actually AT E3. Here's a rundown of what I did at the show, for those that care/have questions...

- At the Nintendo Press Conference, fifth row

- Tried:
3DS (Snake Eater, Kid Icarus, Target Shoot, Mario Kart, Kingdom Hearts), Zelda, Goldeneye, NBA Jam, Metroid: Other M, Sonic Colors, DKC Returns, LBP 2, Gran Turismo 5, Sonic 4, Kinect (Joy Ride, River Raft, Ricochet), Kirby's Epic Yarn, Golden Sun: Dark Dawn, PlayStation Move (TV Superstars, The Fight, Sports Champions), Mario Sports Mix, Marvel vs Capcom 3, Epic Mickey, Wii Party, Super Scribblenauts, Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective

- Saw:
Geoff Keighley, Brian Crecente, MIYAMOTO (while I was playing Move), Peter Molyneux, Peter Moore, G4 crew (Kevin Pereira, Olivia Munn, Adam Sessler, Morgan Webb), Stuttering Craig, Michael Pachter, Reggie and Iwata at the conference

- Met:
Charles Martinet and...randomly Minnesota governor Tim Pawlenty at the airport

@Youko: Wait, how did you get there? I thought it was invite only. You must the luckiest man in the world.

EDIT: Now that I think about it, do you have any videos?

@Shimazu - I think my favorite GAMES were MvC3 and Sonic 4. The 3DS is LEGIT and simply amazing...even if you had to wait two hours in line like I did. I have favorable opinions of all the games, except The Fight. And Mario Sports Mix was actually a little disappointing, in my opinion.

@finalark - It isn't invite only, but it is limited to those with connections to the industry. In other words, it's a trade-only event. Fortunately, my best friend has all the right connections. My gaming podcast helps my case, as well.

I did take a lot of video while I was there and will be making an "experience" video over the next day or two.

Kirby is adorable fun. They're definitely moving away from the sucking enemies, multiple-jump gameplay. Instead, there's co-op, with gameplay that seems to borrow from Little Big Planet with platforming, collecting bits, and tethering. Kirby can still do a lot of cool tricks though. I loved what I tried of it, it has a really unique style to it.

DKC on the other hand, I have never played the original games. But you see what they're trying to, and it's essentially...New DKC Wii, to borrow a page from Mario. The homage is evident and well done. The co-op in this one works very well, too. Just don't play it after Sonic, for Donkey Kong you need to take your time and tackle enemies carefully.

Both are excellent, it's going to be a strong year for the Wii.

@finalark Definitely how amazing the 3DS is. It simply is incredible. Nintendo will not just be printing money, they will be DUPLICATING it.

Move is indeed pretty accurate. But I shouldn't be getting the impression that I can't control The Fight that well. Loved the tightness of the Ping-Pong gameplay in Sports Champions...even though the computer exclusively hit it to my forehand. TV Superstars is...just silly. That's all there is to it.

Kinect gameplay will be great for families. However, it's ALL TOO EASY to see its limitations if you're a hardcore gamer. The multimedia control is its saving feature at this point for me. The tech works, but there's only so much you can do with it, gameplay-wise. Especially if it's as expensive as it might end up being.

Looks like this year is 2d platformer heaven :) There's actually too many!
I know, it started with NSMB Wii, then Meroid Other M (which is sorta 2D-Metroid) and now we have new DKC and Kirby. Nintendo, let the retro revivals continue!

btw, enjoying your new Xbox?
Oh yeah, that bugged me not because they gave out free Xboxs, but because I just bought one a few weeks ago.
