he, he, it's good to see I'm not the only one around here who enjoys this great drink because y'know what? it's actually my 2nd favorite drink, Mountain Dew Baja Blast being first.

and Hylian, too bad that Orange Soda has to taste like those pills you used to take, it must suck that your childhood drink taste has to be substituted by some kind of medicine that you must hate.

Dr Pepper at McDonalds? I don't think they do that here (but then again, haven't been to a McDonalds in probably 2 years)

Normally I'm a Classic Coke guy (especially the imported Mexican kind), but in the absence of that, say at a Pepsi sponsored establishment, I'll always go for a Dr. Pepper.

different establishments don't have different quality Dr. Pepper (or any other soft drink). it has to do with the fact that the carbonated water and flavor syrup are stored in separate containers in the fountain. When the syrup runs low, you'll get a lower quality drink since the syrup/soda-water ratio will be off. Likewise you may get a higher concentration of syrup in your drink than how it may be bottled at the plant, this can make it taste more flavorful than normal.
I eat at a sandwich joint in town every so often, sometimes the Dr. Pepper is the best I've ever had, sometimes I get just carbonated water, but its the same machine and the same place every time.

Vyse, you can still get Dr Pepper from novelty sweet shops. Last time I was in the Gold Coast I got a few cans (and some A'n'W Root Beer, for that matter) from a sweet shop in Pacific Fair.

It wasn't cheap though, sadly. Worth it though. Always worth it.
