You know

I never thought about the idea of Little Mac having command normals in the place of grabs, but it could be a good idea for his Grounded playstyle. The only thing I'll say is that while Hugging your opponent I believe is illegal, It sometimes is common in Boxing matches, or at least it was in the Mayweather vs Paccquio Fight

Personally besides potentially giving Mac his Down tilt combos back, I would personally increase the Range on his Aerials a little bit, and Also make all of them Launch the Opponent to the Ground. I think that will help Mac force the opponent back to the ground, while also making sure his Aerials still aren't that good

I did have the Idea of a character having No Grabs with Dante though. I imagine instead of Grabs, Dante's Grab button would either be the Style Switch button, or it would be a Gun/Shoot button with whatever Gun he has equipped. I thought No Grabs would be good as a balancing method because Dante has long range and has capacity for long combos. Instead I would give him High Shield damage to compensate for no grabs
One idea I've had for a fighting game is that universal grabs are replaces with a more universal short-range shield breaker move. Sometimes they're grabs, but other times they're a heavy punch, or whatnot. Thought that might be a cool thing to do.

I wonder. Do any of you have a case for your most wanted character? Like even if it's just a speck of information in their favour or just something you hold onto for hope.
My most wanted is Hayabusa. He's thought to be pretty likely.

Lol.

There was a problem fetching the tweet
Is the 4th Sonic movie just going to be the 3rd one with extra footage and called "and Knuckles"?

The next DLC character is going to be an adorable character.

(Now to see if this post remains timeless).
I'm gonna laugh so hard if it's something like Nemisis t-Type.

Think you meant to say "grab game" instead of "ground game" there.
Not sure how the word ground got there...

I'm not entirely sure myself on that - KO Punch is already unblockable (although it feels a bit superfluos when Mac doesn't lack kill moves) - but honestly, that sounds pretty interesting. Now I doubt Sakurai and co. will give the confirms :4littlemac: had back to him, so it honestly might give him some mix-up potential at least.

Of course, I'm someone who really dislikes the way Mac's playstyle's been enforced. While Rekzius' Little Mac video did have a major effect on how I view Mac as he is in Smash - especially how platform camping shuts him down - one of the issues I personally have is that Mac's playstyle feels railroaded. Those command normals would help with both those things, and that's a plus (assuming no rework).
The thought process behind the unblockable mostly stemmed from a video talking about how removing a core mechanic from a character needs to give them more depth rather than less, with Master Roshi and Videl as examples of what to and not to do respectively. My thought was to give him an unblockable (which is essentially what a grab is) in order to make sure he still technically has that core mechanic. Though perhaps the extra utility of the command normals might be able to add in the extra depth that's lost when removing his ability to threaten shields with an attack you can't block, but I feel like even if that was the case he'd become shield break central or just worse off than with what he has now. The ability to beat shields is really important I think.

The thought that sparked this idea is mostly just "how could a character that sucks in the air not lose to platform camping?", and a quick vertical jump could probably do it, since it would alow him to join his opponents on platforms, and as a command normal like this, it also wouldn't overtune his recovery.

The character is already gimmicky enough. He doesn't need something like this. His grounded normals need to be safer on shield / poke shield better. A character like Mac can never be good without being toxic, but he should at least be playable.
How would something like this make him unplayable? It's just another set of attacks instead of a grab, and aside from my dragon punch idea (which would hopefully be a solution to the camping problem) I'd imagine these would be fairly standard. It shouldn't overcomplicate him in any way.

This is a genuine question by the way.

They're especially adorable at parties!
Oh great. Not only is the table broken, but now the cake is contaminated with a bio hazard. Who thought this was a good idea?

What I meant was that he's currently unplayable. But he doesn't need so many outlandish suggestions to "fix" him. If he had attacks that just ignored shields (presumably they'd also have bigger range than grabs as they're punches too) it would make him too strong, which for a character with a toxic moveset like Mac's is not a good thing for the game.

I disagree with this on the pretense that grabs are unblockable already, and while giving Little Mac an unblockable punch could extend the distance at which he can pressure shields like that (if his grab is particularly short ranged, and I imagine it is), it doesn't have to be longer than most or all grabs (for example, a hook could be made to be pretty short ranged). I certainly wouldn't make it on the same caliber as Bowser's grab or anything. Really, I would just make it on a similar caliber to his current throws, so he could still deal with shielding, but it's not that great a tool in the grand scheme of things.

He might even be able to do without it entirely. I kind of have a feeling he won't, but it would be something you'd have to put into practice to find out.

As far as fixing him goes, I just have a hard time believing that you can't find a way to improve on the design without completely removing the core ideas of it. I do think it should be less polarizing of course (his aerial attacks should probably at least function), but I think even more than that he should have some sort of option to reach higher platforms that isn't raw Rising Uppercut.

I’m actually starting to think that a Mii costume is likely. The head isn’t anything to worry about, just make it like the little stump a crewmate gets when they’re killed.
The only thing that may or may not kill it, is the fact that it's popularity is too new BUT we also don't know how Mii Costume development works so it could very well be a thing.

That's the best the game could get IMO. Among Us existed when the fighters were locked in, but not in a state that would make Nintendo go "Yo, sak-dude, you NEED to put in the sus bean astronaut".

I forgot, is Spawn Wave credible? I saw this post.

I'm not sure on Spawn Waves Credibility, but Kelios mentioned that Phantom Hourglass had a trademark renewal in australia, and that got people talking so this post is probably in response to that.

but hey, Phantom hourglass was a good game so you don't hear me complaining if it is a legit rumor

Yeah, that is perfectly reasonable. On the other side of the polarization scale, a slight power reduction of his Smashes might be a good idea since he has a lot of kill power anyhow, even with a slight reduction. And improving the usability of his tilts so we're not looking at Smash Attack Central.

Giving him something so that Distance Demons like :ultminmin don't have free Mac N' Cheese for lunch might be a good idea too. Worth noting that Side B was supposed to alliviate this (as shown in his 4 trailer), but currently it has little ability to bypass projectiles.

All this means is it's now time to stan Linebeck for Smash.
Would this mean the return of Mr. "Leave it to me!", Alfonzo?

If so Linebeck's hypotheoretical Challenger Pack would be an automatic 10 / 10.

I like to think I'm a pretty accepting guy. I'm satisfied with pretty much anything, and I'm generally open to new things. I always give things I have neutral opinions on a chance, and under normal circumstances, I'd go "Oh, cool" to an Among Us Mii.

But after seeing the unfunny, obnoxious, and legitimately unsettling Jerma faces that always accompany the word "sus" a couple (Or a hundred) times too many, my opinion on the game has been soured. And those faces would most definitely be everywhere if we got an Among Us Mii, and that would be the absolute worst f---ing outcome.

I've finally hit the point where the fandom and memes surrounding them has truly, completely spoiled a concept for me.

New milestone. Yaaaay.

The lawsuits have me weak for real.
“I bought this thing from you, and even though you offer refunds and free repairs/replacements, it’s an inconvenience for me. Therefore I’m going to sue you for millions of dollars for causing my character to move slightly in a direction when I’m not playing.”

"I have to wait a while to get my controller fixed because my controller isn't the biggest priority in the world right now!? screw shipping essential item's, my Splatoon team need's me more than people need vaccine's!!!"

I wish people were more patient and considerate of other's, right now a large part of the population is so selfish, I wish that could change.

it really isn't that hard to get them repaired.

I'm pretty sure it's a class-action suit. Meaning they're going to sue them for millions of dollars for causing millions of characters to move slightly in a direction when they're not playing.

It really isn't that hard to make them not break in the first place. But two companies have failed at it now.

nah it's because they are selling faulty products and not doing anything about it

A class action lawsuit means the millions of dollars is being spread among everyone who is affected by the faulty product, not just the individual who is suing.
