Ironically, ever since the PS5 drift news came out, the narrative has become "Well, ALL analog sticks drift EVENTUALLY! There's nothing wrong at all!" You can probably guess who has been saying that.

Though now that I think about it, I feel like its only gotten worse ever since control sticks began to double as extra buttons...

I don’t know how it exactly works for PlayStation and Xbox, but free Joy Con repairs weren’t even offered until years after the Switch released in the US, and still aren’t offered in many other countries.

I like to think I'm a pretty accepting guy. I'm satisfied with pretty much anything, and I'm generally open to new things. I always give things I have neutral opinions on a chance, and under normal circumstances, I'd go "Oh, cool" to an Among Us Mii.

But after seeing the unfunny, obnoxious, and legitimately unsettling Jerma faces that always accompany the word "sus" a couple (Or a hundred) times too many, my opinion on the game has been soured. And those faces would most definitely be everywhere if we got an Among Us Mii, and that would be the absolute worst f---ing outcome.

Giving him something so that Distance Demons like don't have free Mac N' Cheese for lunch might be a good idea too. Worth noting that Side B was supposed to alliviate this (as shown in his 4 trailer), but currently it has little ability to bypass projectiles.

I always wondered about that. The way Jolt Haymaker was described it sounded like it was projectile invincible, but upon release it...really wasn't. I kinda feel like it should be until the hitbox is about to come out, not that that would help against Min Min (perhaps a special exception?).

The lawsuits have me weak for real.

To be fair if it only happened when you weren't playing then nobody would care. It's when you're trying to talk to your students in Fire Emblem: Three Houses and your camera starts spinning or when you're trying to make precise movements and your controller's like "haha directional stick go brrrrr!!".

I don't know enough to pass judgement on the lawsuits, but the problem of drift itself isn't a non-issue like you portray it here.

I will say that I have never had an issue with stick drift until the Joy-Cons. Didn't even know it was a thing. That and neither of the Pro Controllers that I own have had this issue while 3/4 of my Joy-Cons do.

One of them did get screwed up anyway but that's because static electricity was absolutely horrible one winter, and I accidentally electrocuted it, which rewired most of the buttons.

My original point was that Earthbound Beginnings and Earthbound are wanted enough titles that there's a good chance that they'll end up as timed exclusives like Super Mario 3D All Stars and Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon and the Blade of Light.

If they were to finally go though all the effort of localizing Mother 3, there's no way they're gonna put it on the Nintendo Switch Online service (the localization would be too expensive for that), and I fully expect it to be a timed exclusive, especially if the previous two titles were bundled with it. Best case scenario though, they'd just sell it normally.

Mother 3 is never getting localized due to the Pig Nazi's, the Magypsies, and the Literal Drug Trip. Nintendo Treehouse doesn't want anything to do with it. So, they're probably not doing the Limited Release thing with the Mother IP.

Didn't it not do well in Japan in the first place since it was radically different from the first 2 games? Plus it was released near the end of the GBA's life cycle, so that might also be why it failed to come over when the DS was starting to become the next big thing.

The original context was under the pretense that it was, and even then I was postfacing it with "if it was" and my previous reply said it wouldn't be.

It was many replies ago and I got mixed up on what we were talking about so I'm not mad, but I have no delusions that Mother 3 would be localized. A rerelease for Japan maybe (but probably not), but not for the U.S.

Actually that would be kind of funny if they did that since the console isn't region locked. I wonder how many people in other regions would buy and play the game despite it not being localized.

I think that's why so many people hated Undertale so much.

I don't think that's the only reason. I wouldn't doubt memes having a part due to how much the first few notes of Megalovania were used for rickroll-like memes, but I think the bigger reason was fans really trying to control streamers and Let's Players to play a certain way, as well as them spoiling way too much. That was the reason why Markiplier stopped playing Undertale for a time was because there were fans that really ****** on him for how he portrayed Sans voice-wise and they ended up(intentionally or unintentionally) spoiling his role in that route.

Not an official rule from Sakurai or anything, but I don't think it's particularly likely, especially if the company has gotten stuff like Mii Costumes outside the franchise repped in a DLC bundle (SMRPG and Geno for example).

Same goes for companies who are still waiting for their first character but have been getting costumes in recent bundles (Ubisoft, Namco, Konami, etc.) It's still possible, but given how hard they've been trying to group relevant costumes together, it's definitely something to keep in mind.

Officially no. There's nothing stopping Microsoft or Square from having another fighter; its just the assumption is Nintendo is working with a variety of companies and including its own characters, and that third parties have rarely gotten more than one fighter in a general year. Thus more than that would be a surprise.

I think all of Nintendo's candidates heavily depend on factors we can't possibly discover beforehand:

• Would they be willing to add Rex even after making him a purchase incentive for the previous pass?
• Will Kirby be one of if not the big title for this year?
• Will Pokémon be Pokémon and give us another Pokémon?
• Will Metroid do literally anything this year?
• Is Golden Sun actually getting that revival?

Granted, these aren't the only candidates, but there's just too many questions surrounding any of the possibilities. Even so, I actually do expect at least one more in this pass. Just...a feeling.

Well, I'd assume F10 is third-party. Wouldn't shock me at all if either F9, F11, or both were first-party.

All the major choices save for Rex have some major barricades in the way (DLC doesn't favor supporting characters, lack of European port, franchise inactiveness, etc.), but then again, so did almost all of our DLC so far. I'm willing to risk a gamble and say that yes, we will be seeing another Nintendi character in this pass.
