Smash Legend
Personally I just refer to each Pokémon in the roster as male except for Jigglypuff, female Pikachu, Spiky-Eared Pichu and maybe flower Pichu (not 100% sure on Pichu in general though).

Jigglypuff is never referred to as female in the anime as nothing has officially has confirmed it. The only thing that's been said on it was a Kids WB spot saying it was male, but it's ignored because it was a random thing the channel did and they probably didn't consult TCPi about it.Yeah, she is. So are some of the Pokeballs (Snivy). I’m assuming they base it off on the anime.
90% of the people out there go by the gender they look like, the chances you actually offend someone are so astronomically low that I don't think it matters. In addition to that, I've learned that If you want to be accepted as something other that what's assumed, the quickest way to do it is to not get pissed when people assume wrong based on literal millenia of prior experience. Just politely correct them; that's all. You can't expect people to change millennia of prior experience inside of only a few years of asking them to.In the year of our lord 2021, I've learned to not assume someone's gender until they're comfortable telling me.
Coincidentally, Chell's likeness is Zero Suit Samus's Smash Bros actress since Brawl, so I'm sure they'd be fine.So I just finished binging the Portal series, and I noticed in the credits that someone is credited for Chell's likeness. Hopefully that wouldn't cause any severe rights issues on the off chance they did decide to try and add her.
That seems about right, though I feel like the later half is a bit stretched out. I highly doubt we'll have 4-5 months in between fighters; Usually, December 31st is a placeholder date, and it's probably not final. So, with the last three characters, if the pattern went:
- Revealed in March, Added in April
- Revealed around E3 time, Added in August
- Revealed in November, Added on December 7th
is that too safe of a prediction, or is it in the realm of believability?
Don’t give my Neku Stan ass hope like thisI'd say the reason that DLC Mii Costumes disconfirm isn't because of the onerous cost of 75 cents or because they're "consolation prizes" or whatever. It's for business reasons. They probably want to make DLC that'll sell for as long as possible, and one of the easiest ways to make a Mii Costume stop selling is to make the same character a fighter.
Picture this: you're Nintendo, circa November 2020. You're licensing with Square Enix for the Mii Costumes that will be released alongside Sephiroth. You get Chocobo back, you get the FF7 cast, and you have the resources for one more. It could be any Square Enix character. 2B, Lara Croft, Neku, Gex, anyone. Why would you go for the one character that you know will be a fighter down the line?
Hey... was that necessary?
No offense, I'm assuming his lack of English knowledge and unprofessional use of a translator is what resulted that blurt out.??? I'm sorry what?

I don’t disagree with your reasoning here, but DLC characters make much much more money than the costumes. If they think a character will sell well, I doubt the costume already existing would stop Nintendo, and I feel they didn’t already lock in dlc characters for ultimate when they made the smash 4 costumes.I'd say the reason that DLC Mii Costumes disconfirm isn't because of the onerous cost of 75 cents or because they're "consolation prizes" or whatever. It's nice to speculate on Valve characters and i'd see no problem if Chell ever get in, but i just can't see any Valve character getting in before Gordon. Portal and TF are important too, but HL is Valve's golden child (and Gordon have been crowned many times as one of the most iconic VG characters of all times). So I just finished binging the Portal series, and I noticed in the credits that someone is credited for Chell's likeness. You're thinking about it backwards. Fighters are chosen before Mii Costumes, even if they are released after them. So of course a costume wouldn't stop Nintendo from adding a fighter. It's the other way around; if you know character X is releasing as a fighter in September 2021, you aren't going to create a Mii of them in August 2020.I don’t disagree with your reasoning here, but DLC characters make much much more money than the costumes. From what I know, Half Life is more popular amongst the gaming crowd, but Portal is one of the few games that has become highly popular amongst the general audiences. I think they'd both have a shot. It's nice to speculate on Valve characters and i'd see no problem if Chell ever get in, but i just can't see any Valve character getting in before Gordon. September-October is a more likely time for a reveal with it then being released in December. So, with the last three characters, if the pattern went:

Yeah, i perfectly understant. My interest in smash come and go periodically. I stay away from Ultimate and smashboards for months until a truly interesting character appears, like Sephiroth. The last character that really kept me interest in smash and speculation was Terry. If the next character doesn't appeal to me, i'll probably leave smash for months again. Thats pretty normal. The reason why I feel like leaving is because I am losing interest in Smash. In fact, I'm starting to lose interest in a lot of different franchises.
I wonder about that. They may be chosen at the same time. Like, they know what company they're going to ask with a pool of characters they have in mind and decide on both characters and Mii costumes all at once. You're thinking about it backwards. Fighters are chosen before Mii Costumes, even if they are released after them. So of course a costume wouldn't stop Nintendo from adding a fighter. Since we get them released in a different order than they are decided upon, we can use Mii Costumes as evidence pointing to the absence of a fighter.
I don't think that it would take that long to release a character after their reveal anymore, mostly because of COVID.September-October is a more likely time for a reveal with it then being released in December.
I thought you were leaving?I don't think that it would take that long to release a character after their reveal anymore, mostly because of COVID.
Maybe he considered changing his Profile Pic leaving?I thought you were leaving?
Not enough people cared so he decided to stick around and join the fun.I thought you were leaving?

I thought you were talking about returning smash 4 costumes for some reason. Then yeah I’d agree any costumes already in ultimate definitely won’t be a character. You're thinking about it backwards. Should just have an orange box character. Gordon freeman wielding the portal gun on 2fort stage. From what I know, Half Life is more popular amongst the gaming crowd, but Portal is one of the few games that has become highly popular amongst the general audiences. I think they'd both have a shot.
Also, I dunno about Half Life, but the Portal series has about 3 songs plus a more energetic rhythm or two that they might be able to add, so if Portal gets a character, then we're getting content from all of Valve's biggest properties, at least in that regard.
He's an absolute HEAVEN WHO MADE AN ALUCARD MOVESET WHERE HE JUST ****ING COPIES THE BELMONTS WITH ONE OF HIS MOVES HOLY **** WHAT THE ACTUAL **** WAS THE REASONING BEHIND THAT AS YOU COULD HAVE GIVEN HIM LITERALLY ANYTHING ELSE.Who's brawlfan1?

ahem
He makes quirky movesets, some for big commonly talked about characters, small ones who barely get discussed and a literal slice of bread. He's creative outside of the Alucard **** if nothing else
I say reveal in February, release in March. So, now that it's been 1 full month since Sephiroth's release, what do you all think about when we'll get news on the next character? March seems to be the most common date I see given.
It's ironic, because in SotN Alucard's Holy Water functions like the Classicvanias and Richter get a different, wave-like style, so it's accidentally correct in a way. He's an absolute HEAVEN WHO MADE AN ALUCARD MOVESET WHERE HE JUST *ING COPIES THE BELMONTS WITH ONE OF HIS MOVES HOLY * WHAT THE ACTUAL **** WAS THE REASONING BEHIND THAT AS YOU COULD HAVE GIVEN HIM LITERALLY ANYTHING ELSE.

I'd say it's Konami's fault for having Alucard use it in the first place. Oh well, hindsight's a pain. It's ironic, because in SotN Alucard's Holy Water functions like the Classicvanias and Richter get a different, wave-like style, so it's accidentally correct in a way.
It still a pretty lazy thing to slap on to Alucard, though.
I don't even have autocorrect lmao I'm a dumbassSomething tells me you meant to say 'Heathen'.
Yeah, what drives me up the wall is that Alucard has so much, the guy used the bat and mist forms, so he could have used the wolf. He could have used a special move instead of making it a ****ing throw, he could have used one of the items Alucard can use in combat, something with the shield rod, a Soul Steal command grab which Dracula's used in the series or even one of the many subweapons not used by the Belmonts but just 'lmao holy water'. There was the garlic, the knife, the diamond, the stopwatch and the bible subweapons to draw from too goddammitIt's ironic, because in SotN Alucard's Holy Water functions like the Classicvanias and Richter get a different, wave-like style, so it's accidentally correct in a way.

For his Down Special, Alucard holds a bible and burns to ash. This uses a stock and does nothing else. There was...the bible subweapons to draw from too goddammit
