Daddy Sakurai doesn't exactly seem to think so.Toad deserves to be in Smash.
You know it's true.
Yeah I think he'd be way cooler if he just used his dragon form the whole time. Here is a question would Corrin be better if instead of counter down b he switch to a dragon with full moveset instead?
I think more 4 legged fighters would be cool.
At least Corrin's gameplay is interesting. Can't say the same about a certain somebody else...I think Corrin would be way cooler if they just didn't exist.
As in, not even outside the context of Smash.
Out of curiosity, who exactly are you referring to?At least Corrin's gameplay is interesting. Can't say the same about a certain somebody else...
That's not what SKX31 asked for, he asked for imagery because you mentioned Sonic, Joe Merrick/Serebii only reports on Pokemon stuff and yeah, older Pokemon games had you literally gamble in the games, where's your source that imagery without gambling is also going to force it to be 18+?
If you do as much as insinuate Byleth isn’t fun to play, you don’t understand Smash Bros. Aymir is the ultimate litmus test in whether you still feel joy for Smash at all.At least Corrin's gameplay is interesting. Can't say the same about a certain somebody else...
This reads like a copypasta, but I don't know if it is one or not...If you do as much as insinuate Byleth isn’t fun to play, you don’t understand Smash Bros. Aymir is the ultimate litmus test in whether you still feel joy for Smash at all.
Now, Robin, naga bless his uniqueness, is an absolute chore to play, except when he uses his sword. Funny how the world works. As much as Marth’s Forward Air has been overplayed and is the absolute bottom of the well when it comes to uniqueness, style or flair, there’s quite no move so satisfying to land or chain however they twist it for that last bit of creative juice. The heart wants what the heart wants, I suppose.
Funny, I had the same feeling going through Fire Emblem: Fates support conversations. This reads like a copypasta, but I don't know if it is one or not...
I'll agree with this bit. I don't think anyone is running defense for Corrin's writing, haha. Or Fates in general. Also they're an unironically better written character despite being a silent protagonist and their game is infinitely better kthxbye
...So flashy environmental design inspired by casinos aren't for good boys and girls even if there's no actual gambling?
That's a bit too far.
I saw it posted by this person
Think this quote in the article that the tweet links to is crucial in this context:That's not what SKX31 asked for, he asked for imagery because you mentioned Sonic, Joe Merrick/Serebii only reports on Pokemon stuff and yeah, older Pokemon games had you literally gamble in the games, where's your source that imagery without gambling is also going to force it to be 18+?
Sidenote this means **** all if we can't get lootboxes, ****ing get on it PEGI
The VSC [ Video Standards Council, the administrative body for PEGI] expanded on how these changes work. "In 2020, the PEGI criteria were changed so that, in future, any games featuring moving images that “teach and/or glamorise the use of games of chance that are played/carried out as a traditional means of gambling” will be rated PEGI 18."
It doesn't look like Sonic's going to be affected under those circumstances - unless Sonic Team start having you wager rings in order to get stuff like shields and whatnot."This refers to types of betting or gambling for money that is normally played or carried out in casinos, gambling halls, or racetracks. It does not cover games where betting or gambling is simply part of the general storyline. The game must actually teach the player how to gamble or bet and/or glamorise gambling. For example, this will include games that teach the player how to play card games that are usually played for money or how to play the odds in horse racing."
That's got to be Ethan Winters.I decided to make Artflow AI draw the next Smash character. Here's what it gave me:

Wasn't the actual gameplay/map design of Fates really good? I thought it was the story that people took issue with.It is somewhat amusing for me to look back at something like the 2015 E3 and see that Fates (with Corrin) ended up being a fairly controversial FE title... and yet it could be argued that it's still maintained a more relevant/positive reputation than a lot of the games focused at that event: Star Fox Zero, Tri Force Heroes, Federation Force, Amiibo Festival, and so on.
It is somewhat telling of how much Nintendo was struggling by that point, that one could unironically express a sentiment now of "Thank goodness for Fire Emblem Fates brought some quality that year".
Anakin was def not my first choice for a Star Wars rep, but I'll take itI decided to make Artflow AI draw the next Smash character. Here's what it gave me:

I'm not as familiar with the specific complaints; the general vibe I've seen from fans (admittedly not something I've done deep research on) is that the story and localization are particularly controversial, but that there's no gameplay mechanic that's all that unpopular (at least in comparison to the two former elements).Wasn't the actual gameplay/map design of Fates really good? I thought it was the story that people took issue with.
I can already see Pokemon RBY and GSC not being on there and causing a massive uproar that will go on for years on, even after the Switch is put to rest. And then Metroid fans will be like "hey, we can play Metroid 2, that's cool, I wonder if we'll get Fusion on NSO eventualy.".Surprised this hasn't been brought up yet. NateDrake said on his podcast that the "Hiyoko" emulator found in the code of NSO is for a Game Boy/Game Boy Colour emulator and said emulator is coming "very soon"
Rumour: Game Boy & Game Boy Color games could be added to Nintendo Switch Online “really soon”
Reports from multiple sources suggest that Game Boy and Game Boy color games could soon be added to the Nintendo Switch Online service.mynintendonews.com
I guess it's good to see Nintendo is doing something to improve NSO and their general offerings of retro titles on the Switch, but it's going to take a lot more than this to course-correct either of those services beyond being a ransom payment for online and a massive step back from the Virtual Console respectively.
Are direct announcements made around 5 pm? EDTLess then an hour to see if we get an announcement.
which one will you hear out?NateDrake and Zippo, one of which I'll at least hear out, the other who is hot garbage.
Nate, they've at least been somewhat credible in the past.which one will you hear out?
Ah, old REra. Pop a bunch of nonsense out your mouth, nobody bats an eye, but make one little passing comment on a female character's design, bam, you're permabanned. What an enigma of a website.Nate, they've at least been somewhat credible in the past.
Zippo's track record is poop and I don't know how they're not banned from ResetERA yet for having such a **** track record.
So far as I've seen, PSO2 and NGS for the Switch hasn't been announced for the West. I don't think it's impossible, but one of the issues that could turn off people with PSO2 and NGS on the Switch is that it uses a Cloud system/cloud gaming, like what happened with Resident Evil 7, and considering how cloud gaming is not exactly popular, especially with the Switch, it's possible the devs in the West don't see any potential profit to port the Switch version over.I've got a question for the PSO2 fans out here (tagging Ivander preemptively):
PSO2 is on the Switch, but only in Japan, right? Is there any data on when it will come for the west? I know PSO2 is already available there and NGS was announced... this year, I think? But you can find almost no info about a western release.
Zippo IS banned from ERA. Permanently. and precisely cuz their track record is trashNate, they've at least been somewhat credible in the past.

Obligatory:Anakin was def not my first choice for a Star Wars rep, but I'll take it
And yes, you could hear "I find your lack of faith disturbing" from this alt costume:Taunts:
- Looks down and says I miss you Padmé.
- Tosses his Lightsaber while saying "This is where the funny begins."
- Shouts, "I have brought peace, freedom, justice, and security to my new empire."
- As Darth Vader shouts, "I find your lack of faith disturbing."
It does raise an interesting point though: what the trading rooms in RBY / GSC wind up being. I for one would personally hope that they'd connect NSO RBY / GSC to Pokemon Home and other services, but I can't help but to get the sneaking suspicion that Game Freak would not be bothered to do so and just flat out disable the trading rooms.I can already see Pokemon RBY and GSC not being on there and causing a massive uproar that will go on for years on, even after the Switch is put to rest. And then Metroid fans will be like "hey, we can play Metroid 2, that's cool, I wonder if we'll get Fusion on NSO eventualy.".
Given NSO's track record so far (especially the disconnect between what NoJ releases on NSO and what NoA / NoE release) I can't help but to feel that if the Game Boy emulator is real NoA / NoE will do the bare minimum and get some of the classics + the cheapest licenses they can get like what has happened with the other consoles.Something to keep in mind is that NSO launched on September 18th.
If the whole GB/GBC games on NSO rumor is true, which, I don't think is too much a stretch to say it could be, since the emulator has been inside the Switch for 2 years now, something tells me that the Direct will 100% come before the 18th to celebrate "3 years of Nintendo Switch online!".
I played Fates after Blazing Sword and Awakening, it was far more entertaining (to me at least) the triangle based on colors gave more variety to the gameplay, daggers, shurikens and other ninja weapons seemed more interesting-Graphically was a huge improvement, it looks spectacular, seeing scenarios based on feudal Japan or gothic castles was very creative, the premise of a war between goth knights and samurai was great in terms of music and art direction, too bad the portrayal of Fates in Smash is kinda rubbish (4 songs that are exactly the same and no stage, just.... Corrin on his own...)Wasn't the actual gameplay/map design of Fates really good? I thought it was the story that people took issue with.
The more I think about it, the more I'm leaning that way myself, especially because I can so easily see the news/announcement screen of "Wario Ware Get It Together releases for Nintendo Switch tomorrow!" and a quick highlight of Sonic Colors Ultimate which will also be out by next Thursday.Getting a direct by the end of next week just feels like it will happen, y'know? My direct sensors are going off and when that happens usually one comes within a couple of weeks.
Ethan beating Jill, Chris, and Leon to be Smash's Resident Evil character would be pretty funny, especially since he's by the far the most grounded RE protagonist in terms of abilities and skills (although, there's plenty of time for Capcom to flanderize him into a macho action hero like the others). That's got to be Ethan Winters.
Nintendo will need to instigate and win in an armed conflict with TPC and Game Freak to get Gens 1 and 2 on NSO. It took them 5 years to get Red/Blue/Yellow on the 3DS Virtual Console at double the standard price for Game Boy games, so it's going to take some really smart and persistent negotiators to have them give those games away for free.I can already see Pokemon RBY and GSC not being on there and causing a massive uproar that will go on for years on, even after the Switch is put to rest. And then Metroid fans will be like "hey, we can play Metroid 2, that's cool, I wonder if we'll get Fusion on NSO eventualy.".
