I doubt that's gonna happen anytime soonSo basically, Nintendo needs to buy MercurySteam next to stop this from happening again?
Wait, why does my mind always default to "Nintendo buys another company", when that's not even how they operate?
I think the only company Nintendo should buy is Grezzo. It's a company that makes good remakes and remasters, they would just benefit from the added budget and support. Plus it would be easy for them to grow, like how Monolith did.So basically, Nintendo needs to buy MercurySteam next to stop this from happening again?

Fair enough.I doubt that's gonna happen anytime soon
505 Games Will Publish MercurySteam’s Next Game
gamingbolt.com
505 Games will publish their next game which according to the news, it will be a multiplatform title.
Would that mean Ever Oasis would get a second chance?I think the only company Nintendo should buy is Grezzo. It's a company that makes good remakes and remasters, they would just benefit from the added budget and support. Plus it would be easy for them to grow, like how Monolith did.
The thinking mostly boils down to (presumably):So basically, Nintendo needs to buy MercurySteam next to stop this from happening again?

There are a couple I could see, TBF (and Nintendo's more minor and "minor" series could certainly benefit from the increase in manpower and dev teams available to develop said games - see Donkey Kong), but that's one of them yes.I think the only company Nintendo should buy is Grezzo. It's a company that makes good remakes and remasters, they would just benefit from the added budget and support. Plus it would be easy for them to grow, like how Monolith did.
Not the most likely character at this rate, but I think people underestimate not only his overall prominence since Return to Dream Land, but also how hungry his series is for content from the modern era.So, Bandanna Waddle Dee from the Kirby Series. How likely is he in your opinions. I think he's definitely underrated, but I like a good discussion so let's discuss.
Dee is without question the next fighter from the Kirby series if we get one. I just personally doubt Nintendo is very interested in bringing him as the trend of first parties in Ultimate dlc has been to bring attention to newer Nintendo franchises. Not the most likely character at this rate, but I think people underestimate not only his overall prominence since Return to Dream Land, but also how hungry his series is for content from the modern era.
The only new Nintendo franchise that the DLC has brought attention to so far was ARMS (and even then, it already had base game content). Everything else (in this case, ) was from games in franchises previously represented in Smash.Dee is without question the next fighter from the Kirby series if we get one. Sorry, I meant to say titles not franchises. XB2 and 3H are newer Switch titles. I don’t really see them promoting Kirby in the same way.The only new Nintendo franchise that the DLC has brought attention to so far was ARMS (and even then, it already had base game content). Everything else (in this case, ) was from games in franchises previously represented in Smash.
That's not to say BWD's chances are any higher by this logic, make no mistake. My main point is that Nintendo can go back and add more content from previous Nintendo franchises if they want.
To be fair, the three examples you gave are all from Switch original games so it's kinda telling where Nintendo's priorities lie.The only new Nintendo franchise that the DLC has brought attention to so far was ARMS (and even then, it already had base game content). Everything else (in this case, ) was from games in franchises previously represented in Smash.

That has inspired to to think of new Nintendo series reps that could be added to the roster:The only new Nintendo franchise that the DLC has brought attention to so far was ARMS (and even then, it already had base game content). So what you're saying is... if Nintendo buys any other studio, that's a 100% confirmed Smash hint?SMASH
So if we want to see Master Chief in Smash, we just need Nintendo to buy out Microsoft? So what you're saying is... if Nintendo buys any other studio, that's a 100% confirmed Smash hint?
Vergeben I would say was at his best leaking SmashNot particularly defending the claims from Zippo, but I don’t really get why people are so nasty about leakers who get a few things wrong. Zippo has also gotten a few things right - as always, these guys are generally not the direct source but are reporting information from people who they trust.
And sometimes that information goes south. Vergeben has been wrong before and (reasonable) people aren’t going around saying he’s not worth jack. Just go into this stuff with a grain of salt by default but understand there’s nuance to this sort of thing and it’s usually not some dude making random **** up if they’ve outright had legitimate information / sources before.
I hate to be the one defending leakers / “insiders” but I’m a little surprised people still don’t really grasp that.

I second Cranky Kong because I love the character and the DK series as whole, Old Snake because it would be an easy alt, and Heihachi because I know that my younger siblings would relish the opportunity to play as a barefooted old man with crazy hair, despite having no knowledge of or interest in Tekken. After giving the current roster another look, I noticed that there are no elderly characters in it. That leads me to a new question for everyone: What elderly characters would make great additions? My picks:
Cranky Kong
King Rhoam Bosphoramus Hyrule
Peppy Hare ( I don't know if he's old enough to be a senior citizen in Star Fox 64 and Adventures, but I do know he is in Assault and Command)
Drampa (though since it's a species of Pokemon, I'm not sure if it qualifies; after all, there do exist young Drampas in the Pokeverse)
Porky Minch
Dyntos
Arlon
Tortimer
Old Snake (as an alternate costume of Solid Snake)
Dr. Eggman (if you ttake into account the lore of Space Colony ARK as well as Gerald Robotnik, then he's pretty likely to be an elder)
Dr. Wily
Gen
Gouken
Father Balder
Gruntilda Winkybunion
Heihachi Mishima
Yeah, if Heihachi wasn't scrapped from Smash 4, he'd have been the first old-timer in Smash.I second Cranky Kong because I love the character and the DK series as whole, Old Snake because it would be an easy alt, and Heihachi because I know that my younger siblings would relish the opportunity to play as a barefooted old man with crazy hair, despite having no knowledge of or interest in Tekken.
I really want to see a Master Xehanort transformation style character where he transforms into both Ansem and Xemnas. I love Kingdom Hearts but I’ve always vastly preferred the villains over Sora personally. After giving the current roster another look, I noticed that there are no elderly characters in it. To be fair, Resetera is the second easiest place on the internet to get banned from, with YandereDev's discord taking the gold medal.Didn’t he get banned on Era once?
That reminds me: What would the Internet's reaction to the Yandere Sim chick getting into the roster? To be fair, Resetera is the second easiest place on the internet to get banned from, with YandereDev's discord taking the gold medal.
Counterpoint: there’s being banned for regular forum offenses (which are extensive) and then there’s being banned cuz the mods find out your sources are fakeTo be fair, Resetera is the second easiest place on the internet to get banned from, with YandereDev's discord taking the gold medal.
Probably overwhelmingly negative, if I had to guess. I think it hits a particularly sour spot because if it was, like, Bubsy or one of the Cheetahmen, at least those characters have history and are from legendarily bad games. That reminds me: What would the Internet's reaction to the Yandere Sim chick getting into the roster?
They’d probably join YandereDev’s server en masse, say “Are ya coding son?” And all get bannedThat reminds me: What would the Internet's reaction to the Yandere Sim chick getting into the roster?
It'd also be another example of Nintendo putting other companies' characters to better use (such as with Pac and Mega Man). They’d probably join YandereDev’s server en masse, say “Are ya coding son?” And all get banned
and this that server will have the biggest number of banned members ever
What the viewer sees when their most wanted is close:Either the third or fourth week of May might be the time to drop some news.
Also, more leaks are supposely think the selected character(s) are higher to appear at E3. The race of which character is in starts to heat up

That leak terrifies meMario + Rabbids: A Teensie Bit of Trouble has shown up in a few leaks at this point. All of them originating around the same time. If that is legit what the next one is called then the Rayman Implications are... quite exciting.
I honestly hope it's tomorrow, Nintendo has never announced their E3 plans beyond the second week of May.Today marks the one month countdown until E3.
Wonder when Nintendo's gonna announce their plans.
If it helps - no matter which character it winds up being it's another character that will probably be able to pull off some really fun stuff:What the viewer sees when their most wanted is close:

I do think it's worth highlighting this picture from Ubisoft's recent conference call:Mario + Rabbids: A Teensie Bit of Trouble has shown up in a few leaks at this point. All of them originating around the same time. If that is legit what the next one is called then the Rayman Implications are... quite exciting.
What leak is this? That leak terrifies me
Because it says "CP10, releasing Fall."
Like, 6 months between CP9 and CP10 would be horrible, ngl, especially since since Byleth, we've been conditioned to expect characters close to their reveal, going back to pre-Byleth release schedules, on top of a potential 6 month gap between 9 and 10 would be horrible.
It's one of the two leaks that mentioned the new Mario+Rabbids game. What leak is this?
