Hi SuSa! Welcome to our boards. I am one of the few regular posters who post on this board but don't mistake me for a good DK player... I suck.

As you may or may not know, the DK boards are pathetic. We have the second least posts of any character subforum.

I will now describe to you why.

We normally have nothing to talk about. Without regularly updated threads it is very boring around here. The lack of different personalities definitely has to do with it.

What happens is that once in a while a new interesting thread is made. The board goes crazy and we post alot (not just in that thread) for a short while. This burst of "energy" runs out and we are very inactive (1-2 posts a day is not uncommon).

That is what is happening here, we are excited about the social thread and the new mod so we will post a lot, do not fear we will get bored.

That being said...

We definitely need a new Matchup Discussion thread. It never got finished because Bigfoot stopped updating it even once a week to change the title. In addition, the summaries in the OP are inadequate. Also it is pretty outdated and some of the matchups are highly controversial. I believe we should start again.

I would be willing to start the matchup thread and make it all pretty like my other threads (Metagame, Critique). I would even update it.

Whoever makes it first gets to take on the responsibility. If two are made within close time frames, come up with an agreement and I'll close one.

Let's get some work done.

By the way, anyone have any idea how I can get the DK Rap onto my iPod legally?

I would too although the small step chain grab is allowed where i live. Sooooo i don't want to take 100% damage going one down a stage.

I use Diddy. Nanners screw up the chain grab pretty bad, and there are very few people around here that play as him. Its kinda funny considering how close we are to NorCal.

Edit: Oh yeah, and I never go DK. Infinites are allowed around here. XD

1) I attempt to stage spike my opponent via cargo
2) They tech and bair me in an attempt to stage spike me
3) I tech and up-B, which again stage spikes them (almost)
4) They tech it, and bair me yet again
5) I tech (jump) it and side-B
6) Side-B spikes them
7) They immediately up-B and I tech the stage spike
8) They just roll onto the stage and taunt "OMFG!!! Die!"
9) I managed to grab the edge.
10) I jump, jump past them, and B-reverse 9 punch.
11) They die
12. GAME!

Epic (fail for not recording) man. Sounds like a perfect end to a heated match. Was this a DK ditto online? Judging from the title it was vs Diddy. If it was offline do you have that code that shows taunt messages offline? I'd appreciate it if you or anyone would give me the code.

It was online and it was DK vs Diddy. you are correct sir.

There is nothing more **** then just teching everything until someone messes up...

I also had a Snake vs Ike where Ike Fsmashed me on PS1 during the windmill phase.

I teched off the windmill and utilted him.

It got me the KO + 3 stock'd

Maybe he went up since more places ban standing infinites. I know genesis will have the standing infinite and small step chain grab banned. Hopefully more tourneys will ban them. I think he won't change that much but then again I don't really care about tier lists.

looking at the characters I think Dk will drop only 1 spot I really don't think he will rise.

On AiB I send out Peach first to beat all the Dedede's. Only one person has gotten the infinite on me and it was the mod of the AiB chatroom. I managed to win the set though, so I'm satisfied with that.

Peach vs. Dedede is 55-45 Dedede, I think. It doesn't matter though because I trained her to beat him.
