They renamed some stuff like "Unaffected by Summoning Sickness" is now just haste and "Attack does dot cause to Tap" is just called Vigilance.

I think there are a few other ones too.

I want to expect better of you, but I know not to
Eh, its still a pretty simple game. I've taught my 10 year old brother how to play, though he still has trouble with some things.
it's probably less simple than you think it is. There's a lot of stupid nuance that douchebags will call a judge on you for at a tournament. ****ing terrible community IMO.

I'd just have to read every single card and not know what to target/which cards combine well with others. I'm still stuck on "Trample"...now there's probably Phasing, Shifting, Fisting, Unicorn-****ing, Twirling, Mouth-******, etc

Mine have been in sleeves in a box for 10 years......... anyone want to buy some old MTG cards??
rofl

and no, no one wants your old cards :p

efff MTG, getting rid of combat damage stacking was the last straw for me. I can't imagine taking the game seriously any more.

It was rather powerful back in the day.

In Extended I remember it got restricted with Mana Vault in like, 2000 or something. Holy turds that was ten years ago.

Where you going?
Thanks bro. I can't believe I beat his Falco as ZSS (it's SOOOO bad), but I definitely need more MK experience. Luckily there seems to be an MK surge happening in New England so I might get just that :)
No problemo. I was hoping for the upset / 2nd game to go to you but all I saw was Nadosss . . . and you inside of them.

I like your girlfriend's name.

related: I played MTG from the years 1995-1999 does that help
My two brothers were born on 1995 & 1999. Awesomeeeee. I was playing Turtles in Time during this time, button mashing.

I've gotta do the same thing, move my music/whatever else I want to keep to an external and then wipe my laptop for school. How'd your comp get messed up, though?

I just wanted to say that the xbox360 is one of the worst systems ever. Overrated piece of crap.

+rep to Cog for that hilarious avatar.

I have been very underwhelmed recently by my own music :(. Aside from Giving up the Gun from Vampire Weekend I go through my music and am rarely satisfied. I have a lot of CDs for when I drive and I frequently go through the CD book multiple times without being able to pick the album I really want to listen too. (I have probably 175 CDs in the book.)

Have any of you ever have the feeling you really want to hear a specific band or album but you aren't sure what band or album it is? You just know that you really want to listen to it. So you search through your music library until it jumps out at you.

This used to work really well for me, but recently the music I have just doesn't satisfy that feeling. I end up having to settle for something rather than picking an album I really want to hear.

I am sort of waiting for some band or new genre to just knock me out of it. I think I need to form my own music. I should start taking some kind of lessons.

Giving up the Gun is ****

also, I'm sorta in that lull with music, but Common and Common Market (completely unrelated hip hop groups) have been holding strong as what I wanna listen to.

I also just find myself not wanting to listen to music as much as usual so I listen to more NPR to get depressed about how the world sucks.

I've been listening to a lot more Disturbed and All That Remains lately, but Between the Buried & Me's 'Colors' album is still top notch, as is most of their music.

Other than that, though, I feel the same as Pakman about my music. I've been meaning to go through it and thin it out a bit but just haven't gotten around to it.

Anyway for someone who likes Metal/J-Rock what do you guys suggest?

@POF - Isn't the samurai girl... Jin? I can't even remember the characters atm I'm so addled z___z

Wow Octave I lost a little respect for you, bro.
Why? D: I'm not like a hardcore Slayer fan that just wants to kill everyone or **** like that.. I'm honestly more a fan of the way metal bands play guitar than their screaming and stuff. I know a lot of people hate it, though, and I try not to force it down anyone's throats.

Yeah, it's not my cup of tea, man.

But then again, I try to do the same, usually with failing results. Like when a kid comes in to my class singing a Soulja Boy song, I have this urge to make him a CD of Mos Def, Foreign Legion, People Under the Stairs, Edan and Rhymesayers and slap him upside the head with it. I don't, but I really want to every time.

;_; Octave, stop! My throat hur-GGHHFHHGHHDGHHDFHJJJGJDSHGKGDSPPDHHDSHJK

I've just been blaring Hold Your Colour[Album] anytime I've been driving. Fasten Your Seatbelt feels like its made specifically for me to drive to.

I also nabbed the Shiny Toy Guns discography and giving that a listen to tonight.

Hold Your Color's an amazing album, but they've kinda strayed for the DNB that was really their sound back like five years ago.

You should pick up their Essential Mix, Nick, and blare that in your car. It's two hours long, came out right around the time they released HYC, and really has some classic DNB on it as well. It's really a classic mix.
