The newest momentum code (V4) works perfectly. At first I might've done something wrong, and it made Sonic's momentum feel glitchy, but shanus's code is good to go. Now even Sonic and ZSS get momentum, but not a whole lot. Just enough to give them more options without feeling overwhelming.

Do they? I didn't notice that. But I might not have tried it.

Edit: I'm not getting any walk-off momentum, even with Sonic.

I tried it with sonic, worked fine for me.

edit: frogles pointed out you need to be in a full walk to get the momentum. If you tap back before it, you get none of that walking momentum so its pretty much fine. That and sonic doesn't walk around all day long so I think its pretty fine for now lol

Also, its not walk–off momentum, its momentum from walking.

This is completely normal seeing how it worked this way in melee also. If you have a ground speed greater than X, you will get momentum regardless of what animation your in which is why RAR works. You usually have to be in a fast walk to get momentum but in sonic's case, he is so fast that his mid speed walk carries him over the threshold but not his slow walk. Its fine because its sonic. Go figure.

Oh and everyone should take the momentum code in the OP

now, i know what scar jumping is, or what some call scar jumping, but i'm not sure what it is in the context that it would need a code. Can you like... not jump off a wall when you're facing away from it or something normally in brawl?

Normally there is a timer that prevents you from jumping the same wall rapidly. The code removes the timer.

Not to sound like a hater or anything but how would this code help the entire cast? Or better brawl competetively idk I can see ways in which it can add to the edge game, but I also just see another code that just has Falcon written all over it, and MELEE falcon at that...

Idk though I never liked brawls system anyway

It doesn't really help anyone in general. It's cool and makes for lulz moments. Sure, you can mix up some edge guarding with it, but in the end if we ever truly need a few more lines I'd expect scar jumping to be the first to be removed.

well and it should be balanced from reading other post's 21 O_o scar jumps....Melee's design and stystem made it so you kinda could get ravaged if someone read you well. I wonder if you could get punished from this? idk.....I hope that texture guy didnt lie to me about gecko 2.0 still being worked on

It took all of 2 seconds for spunit to make, and takes up 1 line. Not much to complain about. If bet you Wario will get much more **** out of it with his air mobility + recovery.

Falcon can't scar jump 21 times. He is no mario. And have you forgotten the other wall jumpers like lucario or diddy or zss? I think this code actually helps them out more than falcon seeing how lame the walls are for wall jumping

It kinda helps Sonic's recovery (as if it needed it).

Sonic can wall jump (and footstool jump) after his up B, and he can wall jump while someone is hanging on the ledge. Putting these two things together, Sonic can up B, and wall jump off the ledge if someone is trying to edgehog him, and then wall jump again a couple of times if they like to refresh their invincibility (like Link, TL, Samus, ect) and eventually footstool jump off of them when their not invincible.

But he'll rarely need to do that. Scar jumping is mostly for shenanigans.

I still get a freeze...(I used training mode if that makes a difference)

Count: More dynamic means things feel faster and more exciting. I just can't wait until it works so I can try it out...

No I didn't but in the first version, both froze so I didn't try. I actually think the camera doesn't change so I'm not sure why it would make a difference

Man this codeset is feeling so polished now with momentum v4 spunit, its great! Looking forward to the camera code (when we have room at least), and the tumble code and knockback modifier code will almost wrap up everything else we need!
