Kupo's doing good, as long as he keeps an open mind Brawl+ will become what most want it to be. Also: multiple code sets are the cause of thousands of deaths each year. That, and we don't want/need them.

Shadic, I'm not sure how to interpret your post. Was it a bash towards me, or...? I was just stating that while I like Kupo's codeset, MuBa's is also quite fun. You guys aren't going to make choosing a codeset easy, are you?

The idea of trying everything and figuring out what's best is what made Kupo's codeset what it is. To say we only need one codeset right now. is extremely short-sighted.

Oh, I didn't mean right now. Sorry for being vague, I meant in the future we should end up with one codeset. I understand the importance of more than one codeset at this time. Sorry for posting lame.

I don't think it's that you're as much bad in his eyes... I'm betting it's just you are one of the figure heads for the side of minor tweaks and keeping the game feeling the same, and the other side that wants to radically change it to a fast and super tech skill based game see you as their opposition is all. I haven't seen anything too bad posted on this thread from you.

The old kupo was for minor tweaks. The new kupo is for bigger changes but that does not include overcompensating with radical code values for the lack of the future codes. With the upmost respect, I feel people like MuBa's codeset for the wrong reason..

Yes, I've been a bit busy with making the texture code, so not much progress as far as Brawl+ codes go. Recently I've achieved complete control over the SD card runtimes(with the exception of the character select screen - where it really matters). But that being said, I can upload any file from the SD card at any time of my choosing. There are still a few things that need to be worked out with directing where file is uploaded, but I've also been able to locate values for that as well...

I'll try and set aside some more time to work on Brawl+ codes as it seems to be about time I worked on them again. I'll keep you informed.

The code is ready. We're just waiting for other codes to become stable and functional before a release. In the meantime, I'm optimising the code (It was about 120 lines, I'm hoping to cut that down to about 70, as well as making it easier to modify), and we're making sure we have a good starting point.

@Kupo, what's this about true spikes? I thought that brawl did a decent enough job at making spikes reaaally difficult / impossible to cancel at high enough percents that they should kill, but cancel-able at low percents. Would all spikes be uncancelable? Char-specific? Seems like a low priority if it really does need to change.

That's great to hear. Will we be able to modify launch power for short hops, full jumps, multiple jumps, and gravity-affected UpB's with it?

EDIT: I just pmed him to replace the no AD from tumble with shield during DD. Spikes in this game have no timing involved in meteor canceling. Once you are about halfway through the move, you can jump out of it. My reasoning behind including it is that there are several difficult codes and I might as well request a more simple (?) code while the USB is connected

No. It is 120 lines including the modifications. It will be about 70 lines including the modifications. We're already testing different modifications to try and find the most suitable starting point before community input.

The code allows for a character specific change in Full Hop/Second Hop Launch Power, Short Hop Launch Power, Fast Fall Speed and Downwards Gravity, as well as a second code that modifies each character's overall Gravity. Better still, this global gravity modification doesn't affect many Up+B abilities (including Bowser's, Link's and Donkey Kong's), allowing for the characters to have faster jumps without significantly affecting their recovery. We decided on a dash speed increase that is the same for everyone - it doesn't really seem that characters need to have their dash speeds altered by different amounts.

Wow, I'm really impressed with the work you guys have done. Although I was skeptical of the need for a SBR+, this is prime evidence that you guys can achieve great things without the argument of the community slowing you down. If you can get the code semi-ironed-out this weekend my friends and I'll give it some serious play-testing :)

Sounds like just what the doctor ordered.

I'm also really excited about PW's work, because I would love to throw some ill textures into my B+. Dry Bowser will have his revenge!

Chalk up another MuBa convert...well, almost. I took FF down to 1.2 and took off the jump/throw codes. I'm not even sure what the jump code does. But I like the rest. I only toned down the FF slightly because I think with 1.35 you fastfall fast enough already o_O. Other than that I really like it. With my CSS and Shields I'm only at about 170. Total awesomeness.

its a great code for data collection but it messes up replays it needs a lil work so the cpus dont do something other than what actually happened but other than that its awesome for finding tech frames and etc.

why? me and my friend thought it was just fine.
Though MK ***** everything with FF.
My friend couldn't do a FF Fair with mario and make it back yet he could in melee. It might have been a bit too much.

Almas: When the code is released or whenever you have free time for waiting for hackers help for the code or whatever, can you look into making a code to adjust the ledge invincibility time? It needs to be slightly longer.

Maybe that might fix my pseudo trap with MK where I just SHFF bairs so that I only get 2 slashes, and hitstun usually keeps a few chars caught in it until around 60% or they DI out.

Though it's awesome, it is somewhat broken.
