Zaj: Nah, don't worry about my Diddy. In teams, it's all Snake, and maybe PT for funsies / I want to humiliate someone with a low tier. And about your MK, the right balance would be, one of us camps and sets up a wall and one plays aggressively and gets the kills. Snake's tons better at setting up walls, so you would probably either have to play aggressively, or just not use your MK.

Dekar: Just MM more if you aren't happy. I'll play you :/

Yeaaaaaaah, DFG seems to have venue and entry mixed up or something. I'll see if I can get a price drop, but I wouldn't hold my breath.

Ranbats are smaller tournaments for ranking, anyway. If you guys wanna come, that would make me very happy. If not, maybe I'll actually enter brawl!

See the problem isn't how high the venue fee is, it's how low the entry fee is. Why make a tourney cost $15 if 2/3 of the money is going to the person holding it?

It looks like this-

For every 10 people that enter, $100 goes to DFG/NVGA, and $50 goes to the pot, so $35 to first place and $15 to second place. After getting second at a ten man tournament, the guy gets his money back.

If it were $10 venue/$10 entry, it'd be MUCH more fair to the players. $70 would go to first, and $30 to second, while NVGA still gets $100.

He's already completely disrespected the Smash community with the slap in the face that was Supercon (remember that bonus pot that was promised? They tried to make it $250, instead of $500, not to mention the fact that they wouldn't even let us use the mics while all of the 2D scrubs were on the screen) how long is he going to continue this bull**** until he finally realizes that if he wants to actually run a business doing this, he has to do it right?

@UL- I don't want to walk around moneygrubbing people in MMs, I do that when I meet them. I like the CO Smash scene, I just don't like the way **** is run. It's not a difficult thing to solve, up the entry fee so it's EQUAL TO the venue fee. We're not going there to hang out at some ******** convention with some ****** 2D players and a cockload of Halo***s, we're going there to play in a tournament.

If that's the angle that you're coming from, Dekar, then I totally understand. Although, I didn't know about to $250 bonus pot thingy until you mentioned it. That's kind of a **** move by CC :x

I've personally vouched for our own Brawl + Melee monthlies multiple times, but people are too lazy to do anything, so, we're pretty much stuck with what we're given.

Actually, from the responses I got from the melee scene, and based on average brawl ranbat turnouts, I determined that it would just be a drain on my wallet, which I can't afford. If you can assure me that we'll have enough people to balance out the $225, then by all means I'll get the venue. But our turnouts tend to be 16 or less at ranbats, so I'd imagine monthlies would be the same.

$225 / 15 people = 15 dollar venue fee.

There's two options, either we meet a quota of 15 people at each monthly and get the money necessary at a flat rate of $15, or we decide on the venue fee on the spot once everybody has shown up. (If there's money left over after we pay for the venue, then that'll go into the pot.)

Hell, Supercon's venue fee was like 30 bucks iirc, so $15 + $5 or $10 pot fee is definitely doable.

This would be a lot more solid if I had a list of names.

Honestly, if we were to do monthlies, I'd rather we didn't pass $10 venue fee, just so that it won't drain new-comers wallets too badly.

I actually haven't played Brawl in about 2 months now, and tonight was the first time I've played BB in about 2 weeks.



also, I won't be at PIF Tony. We'll have to meet up on some later date.

I'm not sure what people are talking about but, overlap a Brawl/Melee tournament with a High school or College fundraiser. The event will (hopefully) attract more people and cost much less to setup because the mutual benefits for both the school/college and Smashers.

- combo damage nerfed (2700-3400)
- new move Act Parser Zwei, Act Parser Zwei: Blade, Act Parser Zwei: Cavalier
- Act Parser Zwei is basically Jin's 214 move
- DD>4DD>236D doesn't combo, even DD>4DD doesn't combo
- No more special voice against Ragna
- No more ****** Tager and Hakumen
- 5D is slower, throw>5D does not combo
- 214D goes further in the horizontal direction
- opponent can immediately tech after J214D hit (like Jin's 214B)
- 236D changes to the move where appears in the certain range and lasts for about 3-4hits







HAHAHAHAHA

I'm so happy that hakumen is getting buffed. oh and Tao is getting nerfed, I think.

Either way, I like BB a lot. Not more than melee, but that's probably because it just has an awesome scene.

I thought PIF was ****ing awesome, super hype at the crew battles and finals.

The only smashers there were me, nite, tony, jam, and yang I think though. None of you new kids at all!

I only took out 2 people in the 5v5 crews =( But I did win a round against the 3rd person with bang install.
