Celebration routine

A lot of people, when they get a KO, do some kind of celebration routine, usually technical stuff to warm up further. (For example, Foxes practicing waveshines, Falcons moonwalking, Peaches FC nairing.)

When the person starts to respawn, generally then you cease your ritual and try to position yourself on the stage to prepare for their invincibility.

But my question to you all is: "what is your 'celebration routine' when you get a kill?" or "what do you habitually do after getting a KO?" (e.g., Marths repeatedly ledge regrabbing.)

I have routines on every stage for each character I play. It's how I used to keep my tech skill up when I would play alone and then I'd do them in between stocks just to make sure I could stay fresh.

I guess that would be a lot of things to describe.

But, if possible, I was looking for people to be a bit more specific about what things they practice.

Okay well for example

With fox on PS, moonwalk under the platform, short hop, shine waveland off the platform, laser, shine grab ledge.

One day im going to record all my bull**** things because Teczero doesn't believe I actually do them

Boomerang throw -> taunt -> taunt cancel -> moonwalk -> jump -> bomb pull.

Then if I'm amazing enough I'll moonwalk towards the edge and drop the bomb on the edge as I grab it.

In a serious match I set up for the next stock.

If I messed up something that I shouldn't be messing up earlier, I practice that. Otherwise, I just nair a lot. I'm not sure why; I think I did it in Brawl first.

lmao zhu <3

I do different stuff depending on my mood and the stage. I used to do tech skill things but then that screwed with my timing/made dumb habits so I quit it lol.

Marth - DD wavedash and SHFFL nairs *shrugs*

I **** my pants every time I take a stock.

Needless to say I **** my pants a lot, because I **** ;D

I prepare a turnip, and get into what I feel to be the most appropriate and advantageous position on stage, maybe dash dance a little. I am a boring player.

i do the exact same thing with marth, teczero.

With ganon I stand perfectly still, facing the center of the stage.... or if it was a cool KO, i do his taunt, then pause when the green stuff starts to come out, and zoom in on his outrageously large leather codpiece.

i spam shine turnaround waveland off bair on platform stages as fox/falco. With every other character i spam the **** out of ledgecancelled aerials.

It varies.

I usually do something involving a bunch of running shield drops, wavelands, and/or edgecancels.

Other times I'll do moonwalk/stickywalk/reverse moonwalk shenanigans.

Otherwise, I'll spam SHFFLs or pretty-looking WDs with dashes

with falco or fox

full hop under top platform
shine turnaround
reverse waveland
shield drop/follow waveland off back of platform
double jump
2-3 lasers depending on fox or falco
land on lower platform
shine turnaround short hop bair/dair
ledgecancel off platform
dair or u-air or something
land, walk towards closest ledge
moonwalk to ledge, plank until they're done respawning

the whole process takes like 70 frames

or just multishine LOL

Falco - Nair-shine-waveshine-dair (or other standard stuff)
Falco/Fox - Nair shines. Or multishine. Or ub-B ledge stall. Or waveland left on right platform -> DJ waveland right on top platform.
Fox - walk - turnaround moonwalk - bair
Marth - walk - turnaround moonwalk - ledgegrab. Or random DD/WD/SHFFL stuff.
CF - Moonwalk.

i like doing a couple moonwalks into a weird stickywalk or something. throwing out a random falcon kick is fun too.

double jump into a falcon kick cancel is fun too because he just screams FALCON KICK!!! and doesn't do anything, it can leave you pretty open though.

with fox i practice nairshine/drillshine stuff in between stocks, or if im having a technical day i do the oldschool silentwolf turnaround waveshine madness

good thread!

Uh... charge my charge shot.

If it's charged, attempt to super wavedash, or DD->WD a bit, or get extender. Depends on the situation.
