I would actually love to test something like that out with PSA, though. What did you have in mind? Like, a disjointed dark hitbox on the punch, or what? I can try making something over the weekend...

No, he's pretty much right. I'm pretty sure the amount of unjustified outbursts on your end is either approaching, or well into the double-digit mark. Try waiting ten seconds before you post, or something, because the inflammatory posts are getting mighty annoying.

Anyways, back to characters. In the Link Thread, I think we've setting on what could be a potentially a really nice buff for him: Arrow improvements. Slightly faster charging time, (1.2x?), along with a damage and KB buff. I really think BBrawl had a good idea on that Link improvement they put in.

My friend played brawl+ and though Link's arrows were fine...

IDK I don't play Link, that's just what he said...

His arrows are actually kinda worthless. 4% damage uncharged, a FULLY CHARGED arrow barely knocks Mario 1/2 of Final Destination of 200%. It's pretty ridiculous, really.

No character size changes until after the ledge changes and other stuff have settled into the game.

Decreasing size globally only serves to make stages seem bigger, which is somewhat pointless when there are only a few stages that could use this anyway.

Not really disagreeing with you on buffing Link as I think he needs a couple handmedowns, but frowning at lack of arrow-koability??? :/

Because their purpose would be gimps, in which you'd have uncharged arrows at (hopefully) percentages lower than 200%. It was just an example of how small their KB is.

But you can spam lasers. By the time you wind up an arrow to shoot a reasonable distance, youve already been approached........Prepare yourself to be kneed in the face.

Yeah, that's another thing I probably should have said. You can't spam arrows, by the time you've changed an arrow, Falcon can cross all of Final Destination. (It's almost the exact same amount of time, I just checked)

And even then, an arrow barely crosses all of FD.

Seriously **** everything about Link. His character design is pretty bad and its shown in all of the smash series.

If Yoyo's can now be edited which are a prop (LOVE MAGUS) bombs should be able to be edited too. Edit bombs and watch the **** age. Add arrows and you fixed Link.

Props still can't be edited. And Ness's yo-yo is not considered a prop, for the same reason as Ness's f-smash not being considered one.

Also, to this day, I'm still disappointed that Link didn't get the ability to shoot bomb-arrows, by using an arrow while holding a bomb, in Brawl. But I'm just throwing that out randomly (while we're talking about Link's arrows and bombs), since it's not like we can change it to make it do that.

1) I've been told Ness's Yo-Yo's are indeed a prop by a number of people.

2) Bomb arrows is like creating a new character. Not one of the goals of B+.

I can edit props/projectiles, but without any hitbox data for the bombs I can't really locate it in the .pac to actually do that =/

For example, I found Ness' yoyos with the following due to knowing the dmg, angle, kbg, and bkb of their hitboxes:

Ah, I see. Well, regardless if the yo-yo is a prop or not, we still can't edit most of them... It's a shame, since Samus's bombs could use an edit to make it explode on impact, again.

And I wasn't even suggesting that we make Link have bomb-arrows in B+ (just randomly pointing out that I wished Sakurai would have done that in an attempt to make Link better, after failing to make him viable...twice [Melee Link wasn't terrible, but still]). And that's like impossible unless we re-program the game, since some stuff, such as the animation, isn't even in the game.

Forward throw: Light: 7 Hard 8

Down throw: Drop: 8 Hard: 9

Up throw: Light: 8 hard: 9

They do 5% to link if they explode in his hands... if they are thrown and he gets hit ... the the above damages apply

He failed 3 times Chaos ... dont kid yourself.

Edit: One more time. If this doesn't work (I doubt it will with the angle it has) then I'm pretty certain the hitbox data for his bombs is not within his .pac file. Either that, or the hitbox is secretly normal/slash element and not fire. Remember to let the bomb explode in your hand as well.

Thanks to those who suggested it, I used the Installer to update my PAC files. It fixed all the special moves that made characters go into special fall (Lucario's Up B etc.) except for one, Ness'. His Up B is listed in the changelist as PKT1 and I assume it's the change that lets Ness use Up B again if someone hits the projectile before it touches Ness. That bit doesn't work even after using the Installer to place the updated PAC file.

Is this part of the latest nightly build or am I doing something wrong? Any suggestions?

I can give you my pac, but I'm 99% sure it has his ALR included in the pac so you'll need to remove those from his frame speed changes. Also, you'll need to remove thie hitbox data for the yoyos from your GCT as well.

Is it possible that item props have there own separate .Pac file located somewhere else and that the only part of item props that are within character .Pac files are the "Pull item out" animation? To me I could see this making sense as Ness YoYo's are in a "Pull item out" state the entire duration.

I could also believe that they are secretly slash. Other fire properties react when you this them *nitka nades and a few items as well* (thought I doubt its this as there are a few holes in this theory)

Hey, I'm going to a tourney tomorrow, and it's a vBrawl tourney (I'm promoting Brawl+ there), could someone give me a fixed CF pac so his knee isn't so big? Also Ganon's utilt change being removed/changed would be nice. I'm not coming home between tonight and after the tourney so if I could get those pretty fast it would be great.

Magus, get me some offsets for where the hell in Ness's file you found those Yo-Yo hitboxes. I am in the process of documenting all of them and that info would help me a lot :p
