ALL characters (that appeared in something before the official update) that turned out to be PC's have first appeared in some kind of movie clip of some importance.

Thing is, there'll never be a confirmation to deconfirmation if there not ATs or Pokeballs. Keep in mind, they can pop up here and there in the game, but they may not be playable. I mean, if they were to be playable, why show them just like that? No fighting pictures or their own update, but just decorations or items. That's what leads me to believe that they are deconfirmed.

I don't see how this lowers Mii's chances. When I saw this I thought "Wow Mii are being implemented in the game so one step closer to PC." How does it deconfirm anything. People like to rush to conclusions when the fact is is Sakurai wanted to he could make Hammer bro an AT an still be a PC. Now I'll be the first to say I highly doubt such a matter will take place but Sakurai can do whatever he wants in this game whether it be a Nook wjo vanishes from the background into the fight or a PC of the developers themselves.

But some things are more illogical than others, a character being revealed as trophy before becoming a PC is more reasonable than Nook disapearing from the background to appear in a fight. Just as well a Mii is more reasonable as occuring than a PC/AT Hammer bro.

So No ones stupid in these matters, however some people are more unreasonable than others. And that sir is your answer.

No kidding. I never claimed that it makes it impossible for them to be playable.
But that is all the evidence we have, it has never happened, thus chances are that it won't, how big these chances and the changes and whatever the hell else are, that's something you're free to discuss, but their chances have decreased to some degree and that is a fact.
As long as you can accept that, whatever. But taking an extreme position like "DECONFIRMED" or "NO CHANGE AT ALL" is dumb either way.

Of course it does matter. Anyone who didn't expect Yoshi, Peach or DK to return needs to get their common sense checked.
Newcomers are supposed to be surprises.
Now of course you can claim that seeing Tingle in that screenshot is a surprise, too, but that just doesn't seem like a likely introduction.

Yeah, there are to many jumped conclusions here. Nooks is probably a critical, as severley lowered his chances, but there are still ways he could be put in. Lip's doesn't really effect her one way or another due to things like the screw attack. The trophies also have never really been a good way to deconfirm characters since everyone will eventually get a trophy. =/

It was in response to the "leaked" information about the returning characters, and you asked what NEW characters have been leaked in such a way. What with the abundance of Animal Crossing paraphernalia in the game so far, it's logical to conclude there's going to be a character. If they hadn't made updates about Animal Crossing stuff, not as many people would think there was going to be a character from them.
