But wouldn't he be invalid too since he's in the background. Also, Nook is the Nurse Joy/Officer Jenny of Animal Crossing. Would you mind telling me what the Animal Crosser would look like? There would have to be at least 8 different alts for the eyes and 16 if the girl is an alt.

All the screenshot on the Dojo says about Miis is that you can use it as your avatar, like the franchise symbols and specific character symbols. Just because the Miis are on there does NOT mean that they are deconfirmed. I don't think the Mii will be a playable character, but I also don't think they're deconfirmed.

Do you mean considered as a playable AC character? What about Mr. Resetti...? Not only is he not in the background, but he is aggressive. Sounds like fighting game material to me.

Maybe so, but does he represent the series better than Nook or the Animal Crosser?

Miis are not deconfirmed, when i saw that they were avatars,their chances rose! Miis arent deconfirmed, infact Having an avatar of a character is not confirmed to be a character that dosent mean they will only stay as an avatar, after Bulbasaur you can see a Mii,that means they might be officially confirmed as a character

Mii's shouldn't be considered to replace those that actually replaced the Fighting Polygon Team...

His condition is critical now, not deconfirmed, but, really, it seems rather obvious that he won't make it as playable.

Why not? He is neither confirming nor deconfirming, and I'm seeing tons of other stuff he hasn't confirmed so far. All he did was randomly place Tingle in one of the photos, that's it.

I have not been here in awhile, and came by to see if Tingle got added but...


Why is Lip still there? Her item isn't even a hint at a deconfirmation. e_e

And if a Mii was in, wouldn't its face be customizable so you'd have to have avatars like that anyways? =/

Or would he? Remember, Peach appeared in a previous update before she got a profile.

Still, I hope he's not playable. There are many other characters I would prefer over him.

how does that make any sense. Trophies are made for both non playable and playble so the trophy update means nothing for deconfirmation.

i hope this deconfirms tingle. i'm not saying it is. i just really hate Tingle and i hope he doesn't make it in as playable. but we do gotta remember that there were three versions of each playable character in melee. so unless Tingle appears in his Windwaker incarnation, this could deconfirm him, as his original was in Majora.

although it could be he's an assist trophy and is hangin with a bunch of other assists (looks at Nintendog). it wouldn't hurt to have all four be AT

Nothing has changed about the logic of the OP. If being in the background sporting an unusual outfit deconfirms Nook for him, then it's only natural to deconfirm Tingle.

You must admit, however, that it doesn't look good for Tingle, because it has never happened that Sakurai just blatantly shows a yet unrevealed new character like that.

Maybe critical condition, but he's still pretty close...

Unless the old "If Sakurai has a [fill-in-the-blankd]-related update in the near future" rule still applies...

You have to make assumptions that characters are decomfirmed as well as confirmed. ATs and Pokeballs are not the only means of deconfirmation.

Plus, if they were ever to be playable, why show as trophies and/or background decorations all of the sudden just like that?

Plus... Why defend Tingle of all people? Cubone deserved a spot more than him, but nobody's giving a rat's ***. Where's the justice?
