I dont see how being made into avatars deconfirms miis in any way. if anything, it only increases thier chances. and if miis ARE only made into icons, I will officially label this "missed opportunity of the century." seriously.

I don't know if anyone wanted it by itself, but there WERE people who wanted other gen starters to replace PT trainer's Pokémon for different costume changes. I didn't really see this as a workable thing though...
I think it's more the fact that if someone's in a fatal accident, it specifically means they DIE, not that they're in a coma. So the post itself didn't really make sense even if it was a joke.It means "tacos,"

Well, if you look closely you'll notice that the avitars for all the playable characters have a thin line around the box. The Miis, however, do not. This suggests that they are not a playable character.
Which sucks. Miis own.

I think the point here is...the primary function of the Mii IS to be an avatar. Showing them as such is completely normal. It doesn't follow that they would then, therefore, not be able to be added as a character simply because he's showing them doing what they were initially designed to do. If anything, the fact that Miis are being used to represent the player in some way THERE makes it seem even MORE likely to me that they'd be characters, but I'm still not sure either way on that one.

This proves nothing. Just cause there is a thinly veiled line around the playable chars doesn't mean Miis aren't in.

You need to add Piplup, Groudon, Nintendog, Chikorita, Sandbag, and there are also thousands of other small characters you could add.

Challenge accepted.
There's a flaw with K.K. Unlike Nook, he's a key part of the background. Also, if the background argument is valid, neither Tom Nook or the Animal Crosser are valid. Those two were the only ones on the considered list.

Except there are multiple Animal Crossers and only one Nook, his sons aren't him. And considered list doesn't mean anything, Sakurai could pull a fast one and make the mayor the playable character.
