Really though, he's a cool assist trophy, I lol'd reading today's update. Well I guess there no other shot for AC than the AC human or a Nook who poofs from the background to foreground.

While it's a little disappointing to have him not be playable, that IS a pretty kickass AT...I started laughing reading this update.

"Kirby...Pikachu...You'd be runnin' home to Mama!"

God, hilarious xD And it's gonna take factors of who's playing into account? I love this AT. Ahhh...

Now with all the prime AC representatives gone (Tom Nook, KK Slider, Resseti), who will be the so desired AC playable character?

Rumor goes about a human character that uses an axe, fishing rod, and a bug catching net for weapons. Read it here:

I personally think this is for the best. A human AC character just seems for fitting.

Gotta admit though, his AT is pure gold! Can't wait to see what other things he'll ramble about!

What I can't understand is why they'd put other AC humans in the background if The AC character is playable. I mean they haven't used other Yoshi's in the background or other pikachus. I know it's possible though I still have a hard time believing it would happen.

You know, the Animal Crossing human (or Animal Crosser) was shown in the background of Smash as well.

Maybe because there is more than one human that can live in the village at any one time...?

Also, I thin Ai for Brawl isn't a terrible idea.

No, neither of them have yet. However, Luigi has been a secret unlockable since the first game, and I don't really see why they wouldn't do the same thing this time around. And Ganondorf is GANONDORF. I see literally NO reason why they wouldn't keep him in the game, with or without a new moveset.

Game Informer said they had an interview with him that has the following quote:

GI: Have you been consulted at all for the usage of Link or Sheik or Ganondorf for Smash Bros. Brawl?

Aonuma: I’ve been working with Sakurai for a very long time with this new Smash Bros., because the Wii came out and when discussion for a new Smash Bros. took place nobody could think of anyone other than Sakurai working on it. He was kind of the default, and I was very happy to hear that he would be working on it. Actually, my designers did work on the designs for Sheik and Link and Ganondorf. So they submitted the initial designs, and so it would fit in the Smash Bros. Brawl environment, they’ve had to tweak some of the designs. But Sakurai has brought those altered designs to NCL. We’re working very closely with the team of Smash Bros. Brawl to make sure the characters look their best.

No one is sure, dude. He didn't explicitly say, "Sheik and Ganondorf are both in the game now," but it is heavily implied. If you're a betting man, I would recommend you put money on them being there.

Just so you know, just because a character is a collectible trophy doesn't deconfirm them. I saw Peach and Donkey Kong in there too so...are they deconfirmed too?

Just so you know, we have brains of our own, thank you very much. Everyone knows that playable characters also have trophies. The point here is that no newcomer has ever been shown just like that in some little screenshot. Newcomers get their own big update. It could be different for some newcomers in the future, but it's unlikely.

And the next person I see coming up with an example of such grand logic will be sent a virus that makes their computer kick them in the groin.

I honestly expected he's either be a stage obstacle on the AC stage or an assist, but I was still hoping to see him as playable.

There's no one else left now to look forward to except Sonic, and I at least know they won't be deconfirming him as an AT.

If there is Tom Nook, and you use him, he won't appear in the background of the stage. OMFG IMPOSSIBLE

Miis really aren't deconfirmed. You can use Mario as you icon online as well, and I'm pretty sure he made the cut into the game.
