I suggest using the pokemon trainer ivisaur or charizard.
Ivisaurs bullet seed does quick consecutive damage and kills all arial bosses pretty quickly
Charizards rock smash is just enormisly powerful and will dispatch almos all the the bosses quickly
Another reason that I suggest the pokemon trainer is because it is easier to dodge tabuu's off waves (big circular killing machines). All you have to do is dodge the first wave and swap out pokemon (this also works well for zelda/shiek). I was able to finish boss battle on intense with the pokemon trainer (mainly charizard) in under 6 minutes using only 2 heart containers (took at least 7 tries to get down timing right) when I couldnt even get past tabuu using the best characters for the job, in my opinion, ness and lucas.

So after beating intense with a handful of characters... it seems that after you really learn how to fight each boss you can go ahead and do well with just about anyone.

That is, as long as you're playing safe.

I still find it @$# irritating though when you get through every boss on the same heart, only to make a stupid timing mistake and lose to Tabuu's red rings of death.

Yeah, I know dodging them is very possible and I've done it plenty of times. But still, 1 small mistake shouldn't ruin your whole run. Especially when you practically breezed through nearly every boss before him.

Using Olimar's down B three times will allow you to survive Tabuu's red rings of death. Super Armor.

It's ballsy, but it works. Sure you have 460 percent afterwards, but who cares! You just survived the RRoD!

I used Kirby to beat this on Intense, I spamed nothing but his side B in the air and his dair all the time. Tabuu wasn't that hard to me, but Porky...... this is why I don't like Mother games. XD

Yeah, Porky can be a b---- depending on which character you are and what his AI decides to do.

Tabuu really isn't that hard. His RRR kills instantly, but if you dodge that then your pretty much in the clear. If you play smart, he's otherwise, not all that hard of a boss.

Porky trouble with Kirby? All you have to do is rock right at the edge of his body, and you will repeatedly impact him about 3 times per second if you do it right, he goes down real fast with Kirby.

Beating the P-machine with Kirbs is EASY! Just copy Chuck Norris' powers and round house kick him. A screen will appear and the announcer will say: "WOW! I AM NOT WORTHY!"

I said it in another topic, but I'll repeat it again here. Since its important and will save you a lot of headaches.

To AVOID Tabuu's Red Rings of Death

1.) Stand on the far side of the platform (I like the left, but it doesn't matter).
2.) Watch Tabuu (not your character)
3.) Spot dodge when you first see each ring appear.

Trust me, this is massively easier than watching your character and trying to dodge before the ring hits you. Its much harder to dodge too early than it is to dodge too late (your timing must be really off to dodge too early).

I'm currently about 1/3 of the way from beating Intense with every character. Its really not super hard, once you get each boss down. Just that the learning curve for intense mode is initially very high and unforgiving.

Marth isn't all that bad. Really, most characters have a strong ground and a strong air attack that they can abuse, that's all you need.

Besides that, there are 2 things that will give a distinct advantage

1.) A good projectile
2.) A reflector

This is why many cite Fox as being the easiest character (and I agree). Your blaster can punish bosses like Duon and Galleom who primarily do their KO attacks via melee range. A reflector is useful because certain attacks can be reflected for big damage. Duon is probably the biggest offender. He's a tougher boss, but can be beaten easily by Fox via blaster and reflector.

There are a few exceptions like Charizard, whose rocksmash does so much damage that he's easier than most.

That being said, the bosses are beatable by any character as long as you play safe. I've beaten Boss Battles on intense with plenty of characters like Bowser who aren't all that fast and can't abuse projectiles/reflectors. Play it safe and use your strong attacks. If you're dodging game is down, its actually easier with heavyweights because they do a lot of damage.

I can't even beat this on Very Hard, let alone Intense. I simply can't be bothered to learn every nuance of every bosses attacks. I've gotten the hands and Petey down a long time ago, and I've got the Ridleys, Rayquaza, Galleom, and Tabuu mostly down, I'm just starting to understand Porky, but Duon is a complete mystery to me. I've fought these guys dozens of times and their patterns still seem so weird to me. I guess it's just not my thing.

Just practice against Tabuu in SSE Intense. It will really help you in Boss Battles. Three well-timed spotdodges are all you need :)

The best Strategy for Intense is easily the two receivers, one wavebird, one frequency method. Use Charizard. I beat it in under three minutes

I have switched from Marth to Charizard to Young Link, and now I think I am going to switch over to Fox. Sometimes Boss Battles on Intense feels like your kicking yourself in the crotch.

So, I want to get the last few tropjies (I have 537). So I say to myself, I'll try playing boss battles on intense and maybe you get rarer trophies than in the coin launcher. I pick meta knight, and I'll be ****ed, I got it the first try. Staying calm is soooo important. Once you get nervous, you screw up. I already beat this challenge with fox, so no pressure, I just wanted some trophies.

Moral of the story? I think this says something for practicing on the tuff boses in SSE, because you will get use to them and that really excited/nervous "this is it, I'm gonna do it this time" feeling will go away. I feel like I can do it with any of the characters I play now...maybe snake next.

Finaly beat it two days ago and now everything I do just seems to have a greater purpose (except for doing it again). I used charizard and ivisaur not to mention that I only used one heart :) But I must admit most of it was just luck and like 20 tries.

Well I am proud of my younger brother who can finally fight boss battle in intense mode without using any hearts at all and the most shocking thing he did it with his main Yoshi alone.

I am upset. I have gotten to tabu 3 times. The first two times I died quick with a lot of damage. The second time I came in with zero damage with luigi. I got tabu about half down on health and then he somehow spiked me downwards. I could have easily made it back up but I got stuck underneath the **** stage! Ever since then I have taken a long time off from attempting to beat it again :p

I'm guessing that you're doing this with Peach. I used Fox to complete Boss Battles on those skill levels. Personally, he's the best choice for Intense Boss Battles.

If using Fox, Duon shouldn't be too tough since all you need to do is keep your distance from Duon and repel all of his blaster shots with Reflector.

I beat it a while ago with Dedede and again with Wario. I'm currently trying again with Ike, but he seems to be a lot harder than I had hoped (even Petey is difficult for some reason :()

Strats for:
D3: Bairs and Fairs. Waddle Dee doesn't do a lot of damage so only throw them if they are far and don't have a lot of health. Also, Nair deals damage quickly for the situations where you need a killing move before their next attack
Wario: Jump, Uair, double jump, Uair, and move away to prepare for next attack (works great against Duon). Fair doesn't do a lot of damage so avoid using that one. Wanted to use the fart, but any boss battle should not last longer than 2 minutes =p.

They say a picture is worth as thousand Brawls...

They're right.

(Sorry it's so big...)
Yay! I'm not the only person who took a picture of the Congratulations Screen!

But yeah, it's really big. Screen stretch much? It would've been better if you had just linked.

I think I have a great Boss Battles strategy. It's similar to Fox, but at the cost of less projectile speed, the projectile has more power.

You know who I'm talking about. Pit.

He's not even my main and I owned through Hard and Very Hard on the second and fourth tries. Just dash away and spam arrows for bosses like Duon, Galleom, and Rayquaza. Reflect their projectiles with Down B or Side B. Although... Duon's blue lasers can be troublesome.

Meta Ridley can't be spammed. But Pit's superb aerial game comes in to play there; you can spam all of his aerials on every boss when you get a chance. U-Air and N-Air for repeated hits, and F-Air, D-Air, and B-Air for more powerful, quick hits.

I've gotten through Ridley without taking damage. Funny thing; you can hit bosses when their offscreen, like when Ridley rushes in from one side. I've killed Rayquaza and Ridley that way.

I can get through all bosses without getting hit with Zero Suit Samus, but I usually wind up getting hit by Duon or Porky at least once. (I've beaten both Porky and Duon without getting hit in two separate attempts.)

So, I finally reached attempt #200 today, still no luck. I have now beaten every boss (cept Duon) without taking any damage. Thats right, I've killed Porky without taking 1 hit, it was amazing. So, now I have one problem left: THE RED RINGS OF CHEAP DEATH.

Honestly, boss battles wouldn't be so bad, if after playing it a rediculus amount of times you are able to skip all of the REALLY simple bosses that you can easily do blindfolded and sometimes end up screwing you over big time. I can't tell you how many time's Petey has killed me just b/c I want to get him out of the way and try to rush it.

But, all in all, I HATE THIS MODE!!!! And I've tried using characters other than Lucario, and I just can't do it (too attatched to double team to get me outta certain attacks). Hopefully sometime within the next year or so I'll be able to beat Tabuu and no stay up till 5am attempting to beat boss battles again.
