Grave Gouger

World Collapse Kick

Murder Spasm

EDIT: And we can call fthrow something so obvious I feel dumb:

Stomach Pump

And if that doesn't feel as hard as a 'crotch breaker'... you haven't had your stomach pumped. GJ.

I really want that to be Grave Gouge _____, but have no idea what _______ should be, other than one syllable.

Then we'd have Tombstone link to Grave Gouge, or Tombstone Drop link to Grave Gouge. . . something.

Well, I have no objection to using Face Lift. I want something more fear inspiring on the side, though.
USmash does hurt, y'know. It isn't realistically a kill but it is as good a punisher as you get, since it forces that landing....

Now, I've been trying to find a word that I know exists. It's like, a combination of 'salute', or 'triumph' or 'fanfare'.... that means, a note that gives approval. An "oomph", the 'oomph' that accompanies a fist pump.
If "galoomph" was the verb, there is also a noun, which is the same word, which you could say your friend "gave his chum a galoomph for picking up that 7-10 split on the spare."

I have no recollection of what that word looks like... it bothers me extremely.
I know it's an old word, too... but still used. I can imagine Niles Crane from Frasier saying it...

Are there any coo' synonyms for 'Gouge'?
Well it... does mean something like "carve".

I want carve to fit dthrow. "Carving out a path..." + "Carving your face (a not-so-sly reference to taking a knife to one's visage)" . . .

Gouging, I suppose, is a sort of erosion, perpetrated in real time, usually by a... a cutting edge, I guess. It damages and disfigures, cutting a cavity into something. And its usually used in reference to something nonliving. Its never natural and always wastefully destructive.

Although the expression "gouge one's eyes out" exists.

I like these two the most:

Chin Cleaver
Jaw Cleaver

¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤

You now when a bad guy puts a good guy on a bench, and them split him up in half with a
Circle Saw.
Is there some kind of name or Referense for that kind of action?
(Too tired to correct the english in the last line -_- )

No really, it actually is.

Actually, lets call every move Dr. Analrapist.

Yeah I don't think there's a ... name for that. In fact, I wouldn't even call that a Trope.

I don't like the word cleaver here, myself. And I can much sooner see Chin Lift than Chin Cleaver.

I think we do have to get away from Chin and Jaw, though, because that name was officially assigned to Falcon's upthrow. (I think it was "Jaw breaker.") He kept the Melee animation, we didn't.

Isn't the armor that covers the lower leg called a greave? We should play with it and the fact that its homophone is grieve.

Ganon's Greave
Ganon's Grief (getting hit in the balls like that...)

Good grief Ganon! Look at your greaves! (I feel like Robin, except it would make less sense)

I really need to think harder on this. I haven't had any good ideas lately.

So, no one liked OBELISK at all?
The word itself sounds bada-ss.
And it's pretty logical, too.

Why are Ganon's kicks so hard to name? ;\

Gerutoe ftw

I think we need a change of strategy when naming Usmash...
We could come up with a name that represents its sick IASAs.

My favourite suggestion so far is "Grave Gouger".

More ideas:
We could use the word Jack Knife,
or Sheath like in Sheath Knife.

What the heck, let's go with "Grave Gouger", then.

Ftilt Rediscussion
We walked over Ftilt too fast.
Let's look at it again.

Well, as I alluded many pages moons Murders ago, I think I've found a great way to solve three birds with one stroke.

Umm. Kill two problems with one alka seltzer.

....

Okay.

You know how FAir is called Skull Crush Punch. I'm pretty sure the pseudo-alliteration is one thing that is appealing about the name. You've got [k] in the first word, and [k] in the second. Also, you've got the same 'uh' sound in all three words (though it's a bit weird in 'skull' *strokes beard*).
So there's some consonance/rhyme there.

ftilt strikes me as similar to FAir in being a kill move, in being absurdly brutal when it K.O.s, in being a move that can definitely profit from an over-the-top name. It can be taken most seriously when called as it is, just as FAir really is none other than a skull crushing punch.

At the same time, I found the words to make it work.

I always liked Thorax Crush Kick's idea, but not the sound we got from that.
So my solution is this:

Trunk Trash Kick

Trunk means everything Thorax does (except in entomology). But it's one syllable.

As an alternate version, this one I think neatly complements the sounds in Skull Crush Punch:

Corpse Cave Kick

Eh? EH??

(we need a wiggin' unibrow smilie)

Like.... Kicking corpses into a cave?
Ooh, I was wondering if I ought to explain 'cave'.

"To cave". It means to cave something in. If I cave a corpse, it's like blowing out the corpse's insides, and shriveling it up. An implosion.

To make a wall or surface of rock cave is to make it fall inward.

Also, "cave" is used idiomatically to mean concession, or a losing of spirit. One person 'caves' to the other's might, whether verbal (in the case of argument) or physical.

for ftilt, i hereby propose Illegal Immigrant's Bane, or maybe the shorter Foreigner's Bane.
Get it(all of it), and YOU(yeah you) get a cookie!

lol, too good.

In my opinion, there's no way anyone will regard Ganon's Ftilt as anything other than Sparta Kick. It's just too similar both in appearance and brutality.

However, if we must change it, here's my suggestion:

Heartstomp.

Then I'd rather call it:

Gladiator Kick
Gladius Kick
Roman Kick

Or, if it's gonna rhyme: Gladiator Penetrator, lmao.

The kick does remind me of when a warrior sticks his sword into a man's torso, and then pushes it off of his balde with the help of his foot.

Remember the name of the "best" gun in Quake 3 Arena?
It's called the BFG (Big Fuc*ing Gun).

Why not just call the Ftilt GTFO?

Seriously though...
There are a few words I think would do well for Ftilt:

* Dismiss
* Thorax
* Ribcage
* Ecstasy
* Rapture
* End
* Sudden
* Feud

Feud Ender ~

Or Feud End + ____ <- ?

I say we keep a couple lying around then. Sparta kick is there but just to be creative, I like Dismiss, Feud Ender, GTFO, although perhaps something to do with either old mythology or Legend of Zelda.

Perhaps Giant Slayer, Premature End, Hull Breaker, Sea Splitter for some. I think Bottle Breaker would be good too, from OOT. Thats about it.
