I really need to be more active in this site again - giving direction story ideas etc and writing a lot more myself (features what have you) - sorry I've been lax lately I want to make this work.

luke again, even hall and oates didnt like the interview.
surgi was lucky they were willing to humour him.

point is, light hearted or not, getting socially awkward people to do this stuff is bad.

First off, I can speak for myself, and I don't feel you guys are being fair to Surgi.

He was the first and only person to speak to me personally and ask me for an interview. Next off, he was prompt. He thought he was only going to interview me, but once I looked over the questions and realized how light-hearted they were I decided to include Hall since he was already at my house.

That said, the interview was a light-hearted interview, and I don't think Surgi deserves to have a community **** on his effort. If the goal was something different, if the expectation was a different one, the problem lies in the communication of specific goals and not what was presented.

If Surgi / Tedeth want to do a post-visit interview with a little bit more serious tone, then that's fine and it's an easy remedy. If anything, this interview really pleased me because it shows just how good-humoured Hall and I can be, and how much fun we look forward to having with all of you.

Besides I doubt anyone wants to read why I got into Smash (hint: it's a fun game.) See you all throughout our stay. We're at Tedeth's right now.

I agree with oats, I really think everyone was waaay to hard on surgi. Theres really no need for everyone to treat him soo horribly.

If you didn't like it, would've been better to kindly inform him about it.

anyway, would like to see the dgs review =3 + photos if there were any

im as much of a jerk as the next man when it comes to abusing people for no reason, but cmon ted and luke i honestly dont know this surgi guy but it seems like he's gone out of his way to do something nice for the community and you guys have said some pretty hurtful things to him for absolutely no reason i actually feel bad for the guy --> :(

Someone should, I fkn need the internet real bad. Go for it Splice - ask a lot of open ended questions because I don't think you'll get too much out of him.

I don't know how well I can go with open ended questions, but personally I think he's a pretty talkative guy :)

Umm I'll send you a PM sometime soon with questions, feel free anyone else who wants to do this, I won't be doing that until I finish VCAD assignment, 1-2 weeks later :/

I'll try though.

Wahwahwah, Oats says one thing and you're all sucking his c0ck, seriously, you guys are fail.
You barely speak up until he says something, UGH, you're all like sheep when it comes to being nice, but you're all over abusing.
MAN.
SRSLY.
DON'T CARE.

Nonetheless...
Surgi, lul.

I've come to the realisation that my availability to work on this is severely diminished of late. Could someone (Surgi? Splice? Anyone) please interview M2K/Hall/Oats about their Australian experience (I meant to do it at BAM but got drunk instead :() and maybe someone do a BAM write off??

i get a sensual thrill over bumping threads
The last reply to this thread was posted over a year ago
drool pouring onto the floor as i type

need scene to grow
can't really tell people "smashboards"
much easier to say "ausmash.com" and have links on the front page of ausmash.com to both the australian subforum of SWF and state tournament threads.
domain seems to still be hosted. who can update dis? if ur all lazy i'd love to tidy it up so it can be useful again, if not revived entirely

+1 to Dekar's idea.

I'll be willing to help, but I don't really know what I can do. T.T

I wouldn't mind doing some writing as well, perhaps about the elusive SA and how we fap around on our fancy and 100% active facebook group.

Yeah site still works. I'm still admin, all the groundwork is there. If people want to get this back up and running I'll be happy to help with contributing and upkeep, just not keen to run everything again, it's a lot of effort for one person. Let me know if u want admin logins and I'll PM you. Will need to strengthen marketing approach or at least find a way to get the name out there and rope new people in. Site never really achieved that, only catered to existing community members and never really achieved that primary goal.

If you really want an easy link for new people to get into the smash scene, do what SA did and make a facebook group that you can tell new players about so they can easily find it.

I was going to do a write up on DGH.

That could be a start lol

Also I have ideas of player biography type articles...
I read too many basketball magazines.
