Hey Southern Ontario, ANNIHILATION is Pownz next Smash Tourney on April 18th. This is our Canadian Hype thread.

Friday nights @7 are Great Practice and Strat exchange for those of you looking to improve your game. Singles Start Time: 3:00pm (Last Call 3:30)
Cost Per Player: $5 Venue Fee, $10 Prize Pool
Prize Pool: 60 / 30 / 10
Expected Turnout: 40 Participants
Advance registration: Available

Game Type: Doubles

Registration begins at: 2:00pm
Doubles Start Time: 30 minutes following Single (7pm estimated, time dependant)
Cost Per Player: $5 Venue Fee (Note: Venue fee waived if you participated in Singles tournament), $10 Prize Pool
Prize Pool Per Team: 60 / 30 / 10
Expected Turnout: 16 Teams
Advance registration: Available

Rules: SBR Certified
Stock: 3
Timer: 7 Minutes
Double Elimination Bracket
New Members attending the Tournament will receive 1337 Memberships at the discounted rate of only $5. ($15 regularly)

wow, looks like a little turnout is to be expected so far. Why not start adding Melee into the game roster as well, you will get huge support for the Canadian community for adding a more competitive game like Melee and turnout will be bigger.

I don't mean to bring up the issue. I'm just saying that if Brawl and Melee are there, then both communities will be there instead of one. Personally, I like both games but my ride only likes Melee so I don't get a chance to enter Brawl unless Melee is there too.

I really hate people agrue which game is better too.

There's honestly not enough space at Pownz to run Melee and Brawl at the same time imo, unless the turnout for Brawl is much, much lower than normal. I'll try to make it out for this but April is a pretty rough month for me.

Anybody who was listed on my hunting list, we're playing a set, $2 mm at least.

(This is assuming there is actually time for mm's at pownz)

Also has the setup gotten better? (no lag tvs and such?)

Hahaha absolutely, I actually play mostly Kirby/Toonlink now as secondaries. So we can match up our secondaries however
